Well, France took their foot off the pedal at the end and conceded two fairly cheap goals, although the free kick was nice, but it shouldn't have gone in. Still, a quality victory for France, which tells us absolutely nothing about their ability to compete for the WC title.

Dutch referee nullified the last goal because France would surpass Netherlands and its destruction upon Spain! :arf

That way we almost believe that France has chance of winning this WC. :derp
For a moment I thought that Switzerland would turn the table after the 2nd goal though. :p

Considering Leoat12's view of the French team I feel like I will enjoy even more our victories. :heh

Aside that it seems we're doing pretty well without Ribery and Nasri, despite the caliber of the previous teams encountered (even though Switzerland looks a bit too underestimated by a few people here). The turn over went great and we have, finally, an awesome atmosphere or mood to compete in that team. Definitively a very good team under construction at least, it seems that our bad cycle is finally ending.

Right? :)

How's the support in France right now? I mean, the French media and people did, by and large, give up on France after losing the first leg of the playoff to Ukraine. The traveling fans seem to definitely love it.

I've supported France since 1997 and it's great to see the resurgence this WC. Anyway, Ribery never really did anything for the national team, apart from this WC's qualifying campaign, so I didn't think that missing him would be much of a blow.

Everybody love the team now in France. One month ago, nobody could stand that team.
If you're not french, it's hard to love a team including jackasses like Ribery or Evra (well Ribery is out now)
I absolutely hate that team. If the prize to pay for a first round elimination was a first round elimination for my country, I would gladly pay it.
After Knysna, They should have the balls to radiate forever every member of that team or at the very least the leaders and Ribery and Evra were part of it.

Evra might the biggest jackass in football right now. Aside from real criminals, Evra is the worst. His interview at telefoot (most well known foot show in France) a few month ago was scandalous. There were enough display of what kind of human being this piece of shit is.

If this wasn't enough, the simple fact that they are in such a weak group when it should have been italy there ... It's plainly cheating from Platini.
To conclude, I was in holiday in France in 1998, obnoxious pricks ...

I fucking hate this team.

For what it's worth, France did have a harder qualifying campaign than did Italy, just when the actual WC draw came out, it was the other way around.

So, do you hate when Belgian players go and play in Ligue 1, then?

Well, I hate Evra as well. The guy's a complete prick. Ribery's pretty annoying. On the other hand, Ribery and Benzema should be in jail for soliciting that underage prostitute, but that's not how the law works...

I don't even get what kind of thinking process lead you to that question.

Well tbh, before this WC started I said that you guys had a good team. And Switzerland isn't bad at all, but it certainly isn't a top tier team to have as a head of a group.

On the other hand, Ribery and Benzema should be in jail for soliciting that underage prostitute, but that's not how the law works...
Back to this again? Dude she totally looked like in her 20s >_<...

Ribery fucking a underage prostitute isn't my problem with him. She looked old and she is a total slut.
But Ribery cheating his wife and still doing the perfect muslim while getting angry when being splashed over with champagne ... what a hypocritical moron. "No no no no, not champagne, I can't drink it ... But it's totally fine banging an underage slut and smoking weed ..."

Well, you basically said that the French people as a whole were obnoxious pricks in terms of football and the success of France as a footballing nation. That's a pretty large generalization. Thus, I asked if you disliked having those people you disliked rooting for your country's players.

Back to this again? Dude she totally looked like in her 20s >_<...
Ignorance is not an excuse. Of course, she should be in jail as well, but that's not going to happen either.

Well, regardless of your issue with Ribery, I don't think that anyone other than French fans or Bayern fans actually like him. While I support France, I don't support Ribery.

It's a perfect excuse, she lied about her age. Do you think people ask for IDs when they hire a prostitute?

My bets for today:

Argentina x Iran
Germany x Ghana (If it were a Latin American team Germany could lose, but not this time. :p )
Nigeria x Bosnia and Herzegovina

No I said French people in 1998 were obnoxious pricks. Just after the victory, the already known superiority complex towards Belgium was even bigger than usual. I don't have a problem with french people but in some situations, they can be unbearable and 1998 was one of them

Thus, I asked if you disliked having those people you disliked rooting for your country's players.
Again, what kind of thinking is this ? "I don't like you , so you can't like the same things as me". What are you ? 13 years old :D ?

My bets for today:

Argentina x Iran
Germany x Ghana (If it were a Latin American team Germany could lose, but not this time. :p )
Nigeria x Bosnia and Herzegovina
There won't be any surprise today

If I were you, I wouldn't say that. This WC is full of surprises.
Nigeria can draw or even win IMO. This match is the only one we can expect a different result though, based on the strength of the teams.

Argentina is playing in the most traditional stadiums of Brazil. I don't know who chose the host cities for each match, really. XD

kind of off topic... but Argentina sent a lot of assholes to cheer for their team man. Yesterday the city was already full, that's nice, guy singing and all. But there was some idiots that I can't even explain. The guys were trowing beer at people on the street for no reason, harassing every girl... doing obscene
gestures and calling them putas. There was a guy who were actually trying to finger the girls. Some guys broke a lamp post.
I was planning to go to the streets to have some fun with everybody like last tuesday... but yesterday was a really turn off, nobody can have fun with this kind of assholes.
