Tough match. Mexico started the match cracking shins, but they calmed down a bit afterward. Even though, they were a bit violent in this first half.
Brazil is playing well, Mexico is coming hard in the defense, but we had at least two dangerous plays.

Well, see, Americans have no concept or idea of there being some superiority complex from France towards Belgium. It's why I was confused about what you were saying in the first place, which is why I then asked questions that even sounded strange to me.

You phrased it as "the already known superiority complex." See, I had no idea that Belgians felt that way about the French in the first place. It seemed like you were rather irrationally hating the French because they professed their football superiority in a very loud manner for the latter half of 1998.

In terms of what I said later on, there are Americans who are angry or enraged if their players (ones from their city) leave and go and play for some other city's team, and that doesn't even have anything to do with nationalism or dislike for another country.

Messi and Ronaldo are in the same situation. The team around them is without imagination. They have 3-4 players on them instantly once they have the ball. In that situation, it's hard to shine.

But seeing Portugal and Argentina like this, I'm starting to target semi-finals for Belgium.

Iran played 90 perfect minutes, made us suffer and play like shit ourselves. I spent the entire time hoping that someone would do a long shot (as that's the best way to counter a defense like this)... Messi did. Underserved victory tbh, but it's not about deserving things, lol.

It was a pretty nice curler, but yeah, most of the time, that shot misses. It wasn't as lucky as Messi's goal against Bosnia, where it hit the post and luckily rolled in instead of bouncing out.
