Welcome to the MangaHelpers Manga Awards, an event where you, the fans, nominate and decide what is the best of the best in the Manga world. As always, we encourage participation from all out members in both nominating and voting.

General Rules:

Please respect the opinions and nominations of others. Regardless of your opinions, DO NOT bash the character, or the series, or event, or the person who posts the nomination. The Forum Rules still apply. The purpose of The MangaHelpers Manga Awards is to do something as a whole community while having fun, not to initiate any kind of drama or fights.

This year the event is divided into two separate batches.

• Each batch and its categories will have separate nomination periods, each period lasting for 7 days. After those 14 days and a 1 day break, the voting process will begin for all the categories.
• Nominations for the different categories will only qualify if the manga in question published chapters within the past two years (2014-2015). Also the nominations have to be based on content published within that timeframe.
  There are two exceptions to this rule:
  *For Best New Manga, nominations only qualify if the Manga began serialization within that timeframe.
  *For Best Completed Manga, there are no restrictions.

Spoiler: Nomination Round Rules

The nomination process is where all the members of this site come together to appoint nominees for the different categories.

• Duration: 14 Days. The 2 batches would run for 7 days in succession.
• Submit a nomination for the different award categories by posting in their respective award threads. You can also make nominations by sending a private message to any of the staff overseeing this event (listed at the end of this post).
• Each person is allowed a maximum of Three (3) nominations for each award category.
• While the nomination period lasts you can change your nomination, however, ensure you state so in a new post and also detail which nominations are to be changed. Do not edit an old post.
• In some categories like Best Plot Twist or Most Epic Moment, spoiler tags are necessary for nomination. Please write the name of the manga on the spoiler tag as well.

Spoiler: Voting Round Rules

Voting for all categories will begin a day after the nomination rounds end. This process is poll-based and will include all the nominees submitted by the participants. Voting would be divided into 2 rounds. The First voting round and the Final Voting Round. You are allowed to change your votes within the duration of both rounds.

First Voting Round

• Duration: 7 Days
• Voting for each category would be based on the amount of entires. An extra vote is allowed for every 5 entires. That is:
  *1-5 entires= 1 vote
  *6-10 entries= 2 votes
  *11-15 entries= 3 votes
  *16-20 entries= 4 votes etc.
• The 5 entries with the most votes will proceed to the final round.

Once you have cast your vote, feel free to continue the discussion about the nominees and who you think will be the winners of this contest.

Final Voting Round
The final voting round will commence after a one day break following the end of the first voting round.

• Duration: 7 Days.
• Only ONE (1) vote is allowed in this round.
• The entry with the most votes at the end of the phase would emerge as the winner.

• Voting Round Final- April 12th, 2016 - April 19th, 2016.
