My life before college was probably just like yours. Current life, too, look at how much time I spend on the computer! My life in college was just something else, that's all. I don't know if graduate school will be like that but I'm aiming for something in-between.

Heh, though I just had a funny thought - you're a Greek, and most of our rugby parties were toga parties fashioned after, you know, Dionysianism... we imitate the Greeks of old, but I bet you guys don't even do that often, do you?

I'm left handed too! Let's make a "Left Handed People FC". Umm... MH doesn't not have FCs. Never mind

I'm not crazy about the idea, but we might do FC sections sometimes this spring. One for Naruto, one for Bleach, one for One Piece, one for Mangaverse, and one for General Discussion (where I guess "Left Handed People FC" would go.)

We'll see, if there is enough support for it to happen, and the forum grows big enough, we'll look into it. The biggest problem would be getting enough help to be able to oversee everything. But if members want it to happen, you know where to comment about it ( the Comments forum of course. )

Hahahaha... I just remembered something my mother says from time to time: "Good girls go to heaven. Bad girls go everywhere."

My perverse hobby while there was studying train schedules. I was allways going off to the boonies or other silly places gaijin's don't go alone, and winging out of the train schedules, sometimes disastorously. The Suica card though is the best thing since sliced cheese, though the gateless European style is much more accomodating.

22 . Hand-built all four of my pc's; 3 servers and one workstation. Oldest is a 486dx266 Netware 3.11 server pushing SCSI-2 brick drives on an active backplane, two gentoo data servers, and a dual-monitor WinXP workstation that has been virus and spyware free since installation over a year and a half ago. It can be done, and online too.

Now I got to rebuild one of my Linux servers into a FreeBSD server to support this stupid RAID controller I got. Friggin vendors...

It means, that rather than just showing up randomly like a dumb tourist, that I went out of my way to make sure that I went there, and in the right frame of mind, even though I don't have any connections to those places. The point is that imho everyone needs to walk through that valley of the shadow of death to better understand their humanity and the value/price of freedom.

wow, you have to take care 6 other brothers and sisters. How old are they now? Is the age difference between you and your other 6 brothers and sisters far?

The top end is about 2 years spacing, but it's wider at the bottom. 25->12.

That's what it's supposed to mean. I wouldn't continue associating with a person when they don't have humour, but I'd do the reverse. People with humour live longer. So I guess we'll go along just fine.

I hope at least you can find everything in your house, because my "organized" chaos isn't even organized and I need to go looking for my Maths folder or I'll be screwed. Wish me luck!

That's what annoy me a bit. I mean, hey, I can really listen to Metal, too but that doesn't mean that I have to dye my hair black (ok mine is black by nature but that's not the point), wear only black clothes and use black makeup.
All those clichés are just annoying.
I can totally look like a person who listens to classics (how do you determine that anyways?) and listen to Hard Rock....
So I won't say that you look like you don't listen to those music genres, Bibichan!

I too listen to the self proclaimed "classical" genre from time to time, and still love Iced Earth (with Matt not Ripper), African music and all sorts of music, while still being open to genres I've never heard of before, even music that can't be categorized!! Right now I'm in the mood for Angelo Braduardi's "Il Sultano di Babylonia" (sp).

@Eileen --> Yup, we have something in common! Yay!! Umm, I think autodidactics (being a Greek word and also somewhat explained by Predator already) means that he can learn things by himself well. I wonder how many cool abilities I'd have if I lived in America where they have a name for everything </bitter sarcasm>

@GK --> Sadly after the Romans took over Greece and it became a part of the Roman empire and later the Byzantine empire, everyone was turned into a Christian Orthodox so Dionysianism is considered paganistic, barbaric, primitive... heretic. Not only that but also some Greeks who are into ancient Greece, also dream that one day we will "take back" the lands Alexander the Great conquered, which the Church has manipulated in a way that everyday people spontaneously relate anyone talking about ancient Greece with idol worshiping and the such... It's actually revolting to see how people learn to hide their interests and in the end abandon them because they aren't "politicaly correct". Anyway, my emotions seem to get the better of me, so I'll shut up now.

It does. And a little girl used that word out of a blue in the Black Cat manga series, which prompted the main character, Train, to exclaim "Auto... autodidactic!!? When did you learn such an advanced word!?" XD

Didactic was a word I'm VERY familiar from my art history classes, though.

My boring saturday job: I work at a supermarket (one of the largest in the Netherlands) and I have to fill the racks when they are empty (or almost empty) it is a job lot of youth people have here... but it is so boring...

Hmm, 12th grade had two classes, mine had at least 3 left handers that I'm sure of. One being a mirror twin, his brother being right handed. I also recall a girl from the other class... there should be more that I don't know of/have forgotten.
I wonder whatever elements we share...

That's not weird, most people have some sort of 'idol' object they cannot be without... My little brother has had a towel, rolled up and taped so it would stay that way, which he couldn't sleep without and i only recently became able to sleep without my cute little teddybear called "Beertje" ( =little bear, but sounds cuter in dutch ^^ ), who is so worn out etc that he only sticks together because of a lot of little stitches and little pieces of tape... Oh and he misses his nose and most of his fur...

Anyway, most people i know have something like that

People always mention that lefties will be smarter, lefties are more creative, lefties are this, lefties are that. I am so flattered. XD Anyway, I am not one of them. I am not the creative one or the genius one. Hooray for lefties. I believe that a lot of lefties were former Nobel Prize winner. Maybe one of us here will continue that tradition one day.

A lot of fencers at the Olympics are left-handed, simply because they're so unpredictable *random unimportant fact*
