The possibility that Yon hi is the sister of Kuelbo°°
Its starting to sound like chang ge xing. Barbarian clans princess offered to be married to 'x' ends up in the hands of enemy countrys prince

Though Yon hi is not the main character. Just a side character who is the mother of one of the main characters. It would make at least sense, since Soo Won is so fixated on Kai Empire. He also knows merchants of Kai!

Is it normal that this place always is dead everytime I check it ?

Anyways about the chapter even tho it was out for a while, it's interesting to see Li Hazara being so depressed about how his brother is treating his people and him, things doesn't seem to be great for him.
As for hak love the panel where he so thankful for both vold and algira appearance and how he's threatening the injured fire tribe soldat giving them a mini training :XD
As for yona it's rather interesting to see her being a prisoner and being used as a weapon rather than a person, that usually happen to the dragon ( well it Still is )
And also how physically she is putting up a fight rather than words, just yona being a badass :hip tho it didn't really reach much but whatever.

I think it is just that most users here know what other users, who are here for a long time, think about certain heated topics in Yona fandom.

The last two chapters were nice and I like it that Yona was overpowered for a change. However, I am still waiting for our good characters to experience a serious defeat.
Also, I hope Keishuk will bless us with more of his memories on Su-won or Su-won appears. His country is being attacked, so I would like to know what he is doing?

Umm, so about chapter 167. It was nice seeing Hak insecure on a battlefield for once. He handled it very nicely though :super Hak's innate charisma, combined with Yona's air of strength and four dragons, I wonder if things will escalate into a situation where So Woon will actively go after their lives. It would be... dramatic.

I just binged this series, and have liked it quite a lot, especially the depth they gave to the "villain" who after the shock in chapter one could have become a cliched mustache twirling bad guy.

Having said that, this arc feels like a copy of the last arc. Kidnap the dragons...again. Kidnap Yona...again. I hope they don't drag that on for too long, and really hope they author doesn't reuse this plot for a 3rd arc.

Welcome, you are not the only one who does not like that another arc starts wih a kidnapping. Well, I suppose Yona is just too clueless about politics to get into the center of things in another way.

I hoped that maybe Yona gets reminded about Su-won’s words that Il killed his father, Yu-hon, and starts investigating, but unfortunately no. Maybe and hopefully in the next arc.

I like that everyone is complicated. Yes, Il killed Yu-hon (probably, but I'll take Soo-won's word for it), but Yu-hon was also just shown to be maybe a bit blood thirsty, with his dumping the heads of prisoners who had surrendered in front of the Xing kingdom. Maybe that's why he was passed over to be the new king (i don't know the exact timelines here, i think they said this was 17 years in the past, and i believe that is before Il was made king), and maybe that's why he was killed by Il. Everything politically is messy, no one is purely good or bad (well, that priest dude is 100% bad...hope he gets taken out soon!)

About Yu-hon’s dumping the heads of prisoners who had surrendered. This is a story that we only know from Xing’s side, as far as I remember from Kouren who was a child at that time, it does not seem like enough to me, so I am waiting for Kouka’s side to be presented to learn what happened. Su-won did say that something about agreeing with his father’s methods under certain circumstances. Yona didn’t ask him about it, but I wonder what he meant?

About him Yu-hon being passed over, because he was cruel to enemies. I don’t think his reputation among foreigners would count so much. The people of his own country admired and respected him. I think this would be more important than the fact he is not popular in the neighbour country. Besides, I doubt that Yu-hon’s and Il’s father cared so much. There were wars during Joo-Nam’s, Il’s and Yu-hon’s father, reign, so he was not a peace lover.

And then there is a question how the flashback that we see at the beginning fits into it. (Su-won’s memory in which Yu-hon is ok with not being the King, telling it is not a big deal and that he wants to protect his younger brother and the people.)

This memory takes place years after the war in Xing, so it may be that Yu-hon did change for the better. He would have years to do so and why not? Yona changed a lot during months.

I think his reputation for cruelty would matter to his father when deciding on a new king. But I'm also thinking it had something to do with the priests and their visions. Remember, Yu-hon is the one who ran off all the oracles, and we have seen the flashback of Il not allowing Su-won to go to the Crimson Kings burial place, as well as the recent statement from the fire tribe leaders wife about Yona's mother saying she would have white and blue and green and yellow guardians. I wonder if all that prophecy stuff had something to do with who became king.

Hopefully after they are done this latest kidnapping arc we start to get some more answers.

Well, I wonder about this cruelty, because I remember nothing to indicate that Joo-Nam shared Yona’s humanism. The only thing we know about Joo-Nam is that he allowed wars to expand territory and that he most likely must have either consented to throw away priests from the palace or it was his idea in the first place.

I mean. It is shown that Yu-hon threw them away, but Yu-hon was not the King. His father was the King and his father should have the last and deciding word on the matter. I wonder if this was Joo-Nam’s idea to throw away priests and he only ordered Yu-hon to it or if it was Yu-hon’s idea, but Joo-Nam consented to it.

Seeing how there were wars during Joo-nam’s reign and how during his reign priests were thrown away, I think it strongly suggest that Joo-nam didn’t share Yona’s views. I think on the matter why Yu-hon was not made the King, Yona jumped to conclusions. She only heard the story from one side of the conflict, so she doesn’t know what really happened, only what one side of the story claims happened, which may be all there was to it, but may not and for example, not pleased with surrender Xing soldiers attacked Yu-hon’s camp or something like this.

We know now from the fanbook that both Mundok’s sons died during Xing war and Hak’s parents died 17 years ago during this Xing war as well. Since the event is tied to important characters, maybe there will be more about it in the future?

Then there is the question if Il cared about priests? Il reigned for 10 years and didn’t restore priesthood, so to me it seems that Il either supported throwing priests away or he didn’t mind it and felt indifferent about the whole event.

And yeah, the flashback when Il does not allow Su-won to enter the Crimson Kings burial place seems suspicious. Why not after all and what would be the reason to be so angry at such a young child?

Yup. Additionally you could also say that there are no statements that suggest they were any kind of revolts following the expulsion of the priests. Yu hon was praised by many people regardless of his supposed "cruelty". I don´t say that he wasn´t cruel just that there might be more factors that influenced the outcome than just the plain good vs. evil picture.

Yeah, this too.

You know ever since it was revealed that Mundok’s sons have died there I have been thinking if this may be connected like for example Mudnok and Yu-hon being friends and Yu-hon had Mundok’s sons under his orders and they were killed during a sneaky attack from Xing or something like this and that’s why Yu-hon was so pissed to the point of beheading Xing soldiers and dumping the heads.

I am loving Hak's character development. It feels like he is finally feeling the need to protect his country. Let's see how he leads these guys into battle as it is his first time, though he has been studying about warfare his whole life so it won't be unrealistic if he succeeds. I think the only thing that can go wrong is if he becomes to emotional seeing the dragons and yona.

Well, I want Kouka to fail mostly because I think this manga needs a formidable villain that can give our heroes some hard time, especially since this manga didn't have decent villains in latest arcs and Kurevo’s biggest achievement as a villain at the moment is the fact that he can overpower a teenage girl. It is better than Gobi, but I would say it is still far from ideal.

As for Hak, Hak has no practical experience in leading the army, so I don’t think it will be a problem or bad if he is unsuccessful on his first try.

Just to be clear, I am all for an equal failure opportunity for Su-won and Hak. I definitely will not mind if Su-won came, but doesn't save the day by defeating Kuervo’s in the first battle with him.

I'm pretty excited about the upcoming battle. It's not a simple straight up battle, on both sides there's rifts and complications that could be their undoing.

Hak has an opportunity to do something different here too, and I like where his character is going here. He is on a crash course with Kuel-bo. I think this guy can fight, he might be able to draw with Hak in their first battle. Just a few things have given me this impression. Just on Kuel-bo, I hope we get more on him. He wants power, Kouka, but we need more information. I'm hoping he can be compelling to the same level Kouren was for me.

Chapter was finally scanlated, took awhile (then again, this is the first since i started binging, so maybe it always takes this long). I guess we'll get spoilers soon though, so that's good.

chap 169 gives off some sei vibes wherein a handful of kouka soldiers was able to defeat 1000 soldiers only this time around hak is a one man army making his way to kuervo. I do not like this development.

Is it too much to ask for kouka to just lose... just this once? My guts telling me haks gonna defeat kuervo and kouka will win this war... no i dont want that.

And no soowon, kinda makes sense judging from how hak-centric this arc is.

I agree. It would have been more interesting, if Kouka had lost...just once! I mean how are the other nations even able to compete with the Dragon Warriors, Hak, who is as strong as a whole army or Soo Won?

Where is the challenge here? The big Kai Empire looks like a pretty weak nation.
