Ah.. sorry to post twice in a row like this - but there are some errors in this week's voting list for the amateur coloring.

The link to dArK SaSuKe's piece goes to the one by Dai-sama. Also, several of the thumbnails don't work properly.

The thumbnails work for me though, erm, can you reload your entry to Image Gallery too? I can't see the pic.


As for Amatuer Contest #32, I just realise some of the links are not working, they might have been removed by the host. Can those of you who have participated please check? If yes, I would strongly encourage you to upload all those entries under 'Amatuer Art Contest #xyz' to the Image Gallery in future to risk this from happening again, and you can place them as your links instead. It's a good thing we still had the thumbnails. Anyway, you can check out Warrd's entry for example, since his earlier link isn't working anymore and we replaced it with the Image Gallery link. Hee.

And this is really one of those rare times I've seen so many entries for Amatuer Contest! Yeah!!
I agree with JuUnior that a few of you are so good that you actually qualify for Advanced Contest. Why don't you guys just try the Advanced Contest instead next round?


Last but not least, in future, fan art of any sort, please submit them to the Fan Art Category!! That's all for now folks!!

not 100% sure, seems to be more customizable but not really sure the are supposed to be more lenient though. couldn't tell you much yet as i just joined, different layout

In what way is Sheezy Art different from DA?

I think Sheezy doesn't consider coloring manga a copywrite violation on their site. On Deviantart since the manga is not the artists own, nor do they have permission to color it from say Kishimoto-sensei himself, they consider it a copywrite violation.

Hn. I thought I'd seen plenty of it there before, but I'll keep that in mind. Even if you mention that the original line art is copyright Kishimoto and whatnot?

Think of it on DA like this. You come across the line art some person named A did. You take A's lineart without asking and color it. Later, it might get removed because A found it and said "No one should be coloring my lineart."

They're pretty much treating the copywrited images as they would other's artwork. You'd ask a fellow deviant to color their lineart, right? Also, it's a CYA measure so Deviantart doesn't get in trouble for hosting copywrited material.

Your right .. because the small picture doesn't show details of the colorings, so it''s even worse to tell which is the best for onesefl (besides those which have big versions )

I wonder, if participants (not all) in this contests even know, that they color pages where removed from DA.. if I would participate, and saw something like that, I would reupload the coloring somewhere else, imagegallery here on MH, or just any site hosting images ^^"

dA warns you when they've just taken down something (i think) so they should know ;3
