Here is m first attempt at a mother theme ~
Any helpful criticisms? (Ignore the random color on the outside of the border on the diagonal areas, Ill fix that later~

As with a lot of my sigs, I use all my Patience making the sig and when I get to the text adding point, I rush and it becomes horrible~ One of the reasons I love asking for advice on my sigs here~

Voting for the 2nd Annual Sig Contest Anniversary Past Theme Special has finished, and the winner is Shinsatsu!
When I saw this signature, I pretty much knew that it would win because it fit so perfectly with the concept. This is a special contest that comes around once a year honoring the Sig Contest, and so using the "memory" theme to highlight the memories made within this contest is devilishly clever. The strategy of combining the nostalgia inherent with the "memory" theme, the flattery of picking the works of your peers, and the appeal of images that have already proven to have been popular with the voters is practically fool-proof. As been said many times before, a large factor in winning this contest is coming up with a concept for your submission that will attract the most voters, and for that brilliant strategy alone, Shinsatsu deserves quite a lot of credit, as this is perhaps the best success strategy that I have ever seen in this contest to date!
In terms of the actual signature itself, much of the praise goes to the artists whose winning signatures were used here: Bugzee ("Indomitable will," "Kimono Fashion," "Lucky Rabbit," and "Phase 1"), ~Coffee~ ("Good Gone Bad"), Farfalla ("Blood Elf" and "Ookami"), kakashi919 ("One Sweet Day"), nanaDmari ("Get ready for revolution" and "Rise from the shadows"), and Shinsatsu himself ("Amaterasu" and "Death Reflection"). Without their contributions, this submission would not have worked, but Shinsatsu's artistic skill showed through in the midst of this collage as well. The colors and font of the background and foreground text match well with the site's default theme, Coffee, which underscores the Sig Contest concept. The selection and arrangement of previous signatures also works well to complement the MangaHelpers Coffee coloring, tying together these very different images into one cohesive signature.
Well done, Shinsatsu, on another work of genius! Your strategy is so clever that I am going to have disallow submissions based upon former Sig Contest submissions for future anniversary specials! I look forward to seeing what new strategies you mastermind for future contests, and thank you for making such a lovely signature in honor of this contest!

There is one week left on the mother theme. I hope we get some submissions...

It seems family-related themes like this one and the baby theme are less popular with you guys. I was thinking of doing a father theme next year so that fathers could get some love for Father's Day after having done a mother theme this year, but maybe I'll rethink that...

Whoa, Ive been busy lately and almost airheaded the 14th due date for the submissions~

I've got some computer parts to pick up tomorrow as well, so hopefully Ill have enough time to come in and do what I need to do~

But now that I look into the Submissions area, I see that there isnt even ONE submission yet, how is everyone doing with this tough theme? Are we going to have any submissions this time 'round?

On another note, I dont like making the Signature area scroll bar'd so maybe Ill go back to slightly smaller works instead of the newer sized ones~

Yeah, I noticed the same thing... At first, I thought that coming up with a fitting signature for these theme is easy. But after a few failed attempts I gave up on it.

Anyway, I hope that some of us will make signatures for the theme before Sunday so we can move on to the next sig festival without delaying the deadline.

Off-Topic: Having to make tutorials for some stupid company software made me unable to make any graphic work during this week... The worst part is, we're not getting payed for this because the professor is making it look like a homework we got to do and OFC, he's going to sell them for his own benefits.
I wonder whether these things happen in other countries as well.

About this week sig..
I can't find any renders for my umineko mother
nor can I find any good stock to use for bellemere sig
nor can I find any for Kushina..
and when I did, I have no idea what to do..so yeah I gave up

Well, we can't do anything about that. The professors here have absolute power just like the stories from some manga I read :S They can cause you big problems if you go against them publicly.
So, the only thing I can do is make the tutorials, but make them look like a beginner's work so they won't sell even if he tries to ^^ A smart way to "win" ...

It looks like you gave up as well. The theme is tough.
