Well, we can't do anything about that. The professors here have absolute power just like the stories from some manga I read :S They can cause you big problems if you go against them publicly.
So, the only thing I can do is make the tutorials, but make them look like a beginner's work so they won't sell even if he tries to ^^ A smart way to "win" ...

I hope that you succeed. Its not the first time I heard of evil professors tho.

Okay.. so I tried and managed to pull it off,
i guess its because of the awesome umineko music I was listening to
Anyway, thoughts? There wasn't any siggy skills or anything used, I just wanted to convey a feeling

Oh and is there anyway to make sigs bigger when resizing, because my sig is too small..
I always end up with smaller sigs and can't seem to get them to be wide enough, I started with a very big size but when I resize it..it always become so small

Oh! So, this kind of crap doesn't happen only here ^^. The worst thing that I witnessed was when you had to pay the professor if you want to get your grade. Otherwise, it's an F waiting.

I will stop whinning now this could go forever.

I thought I was late entry when i read one of zeltraxs post here but when I checked the sig thread no one else did one yet.

Then everyone else puts theirs up and goes my hopes for a default win.

I tried to make the baby pic look like the baby was moving with the puppet wrap. Should have took more time with it. >_<

No, we don't have anything like that here. The 3rd world is a bad place, but you learn a lot when you experience these things early in life . better than getting shocked later when you face reality at work ^^.

Thanks Your idea is so awesome... I imagined the result when I read it! But it needs so much time (which I don't have <.<).

The mother theme was really hard, I guess. Or was it uninteresting for you? There were only three entries, and the three came so late. Please give me some feedback on theme so I can make sure that we have the most interesting Sig Contest.

(Normally, I would extend the contest an extra week until we have 5 submissions for a contest, but based on the comments in this thread and the fact that I already had some really interesting themes lined up that I didn't want to push back, I decided to move on.) So, please be sure to vote for your favorite of the lovely mom-themed signatures that we have. You have one week to cast your vote!

The next contest is up, and the theme this time is sword. There are plenty of ways in which you can go with this theme, as the manga/anime world is full of various swords. You could also use real swords, focus on a person who is known for wielding a sword, sword-related stuff (e.g., sword sheath, kendo, etc.), or something with "sword" in its name. I hope this theme is more popular. Be sure to submit something sharp!

I think the Mother theme was just difficult to come up with any base images to use. (Though you could always go more abstract with any theme as shown with the winning "Three" theme)

but it seemed like people were trying to come up with something to use, but just couldn't get their interest behind it (perhaps again, because of the narrower scope of resources)

Anyways, I think "Sword" is a really good one and it excites me~ I have always been into swords and I already have plenty of ideas popping into my head~

I'm pretty sure the sword theme will be a bit easier than the mother theme. I don't know if it's because there are more resources and variety with swords but the mother theme was a bit hard for some, I suppose. Then again, if we were to do a father theme there should be plenty of ideas available.

@Shin: Nice sig. And for once its height is larger than width; that's something that hasn't been done a lot. Well at least for me. I only did that once. It might be a little too bright, but I guess that's up to the viewers to judge that.

@~Coffee~: Thanks. I used a lot of effects but I don't remember using glowing edges... The edges were white after some modifications and after some 'screen' layers it became like that.

@Gintara: Thank you. I really didn't plan on making a sig there :P I just made a graphic work ^^

hehe, that's a totally different tech. But they do have some similarity when it comes to the final output.
