All Purpose Sig Contest Discussion Thread 2011

My question would be, Charlie, when you say "Abstract" do you mean a theme Under the term Abstract? or do you mean a random theme??

I have a question about the cross over theme. Does this mean the sig has to have characters from one anime/manga dressing as someone from an another anime/manga. Or does it mean having two characters together in the sig from two different anime/manga? Or is it possibly both?

As gin chan and coffee mentioned, either way is fine. I think in this case, a theme that leaves flexibility gives more chances for creativity.

I was going by the theme under the term abstract as opposed to a random theme, roughly from debron8s post.

Or maybe Abstract, like you don't use a character in it kind of thing, that would be very different.

Np, coffee - I made a slight update to the firs post for the [Submissions] Sig of the Week #171-172
thread. Hopefully this will explain the the current contest better.

• Character cross over theme can be as simple as just having two or more characters from different anime / manga series in the same signature. You can also use a character that dressed up as someone else from another series. If you want to add a level of difficulty, you can draw your own favorite character (e-x Luffy from One Piece) dressed as someone else from another series.

• The Abstract art concept theme can be a simple as working with colors or patterns and creating a work of art from there. It really utilizes creativity and your perception of art for this sig contest. If you want to combine both aspects (character cross over and abstract-ism) of the duel theme into your sig for this sig contests that is fine as-well.

Zeltrax, who is the second character in your sig? Not Ed, the other guy.

Made my submission also. I thought Kingdom Hearts would be the perfect example of character crossover, since there are so many characters from Square's games and Disney.

I've always had a soft heart for Bleach and anything bleach related from sigs to wallpapers. I must say your entry definitely managed to capture and Portray the Bleach theme perfectly. It's hard to picture the name Kenpachi and the word 'beautiful' together in one sentence but you've managed to do that. It looks beautiful from the colors to the lighting and effects.


Now that one contest has finished another bi weekly contest has already begun. If you havent taken part yet, please enter the new contest.

Good question, Naoni and welcome to the sig contest as well.

Just to calrify on the rules for submission. For the bi weekly sig contests, once an entry has been made, it cant be changed.

Kindly submit your final work. No editing your post for newer versions of signatures please.

The exception being a minor fix or small correction to the original entry but nothing that will replace the original.

I remember that time with shin's sig so I just assumed it but maybe that's an exception.
