So, this weeks theme is EVERY theme you'z guyz had in the past? Interesting, I think I'll go with the Video Game category ^_^

It's already been three years since the sig contest started? Wow, it didn't feel like it lol. But good luck to the entrants!

Are we allowed to combine themes? I was thinking of doing that. If not I'll just have to pick one. There's a lot of themes to choose from. Three years worth of it.

Considering one of the past themes was "Freestyle" I would say, yes it is the most open ever, lol~

Anyways - Here are some of my tries so far (I felt like doing some photoshop last night)

That future theme sig is AWESOME !!! You could've used a more cybernetic font but who cares. It's splendid.

Ya, for some reason (even though I have a gagillion fonts) I can never seem to find ones that match what I have in mind perfectly (Though the Ryu one was pretty close)

Yeah I have a lot of fonts too. It's hard to choose the right one. But to make it easier, try to go for one that fits the sig. Like if it's a journal-ish kind, use serif, fancy fonts (i.e. Georgia, Garamond, etc.). But that's what font sites are there for. Can't name all of them but hopefully you get my point.

I usually highlight the text and test out most of the fonts until I like one that fits best. Then play around with the settings.

Well thats what I do, but I cant seem to get what I want half the time~

You might want to take a look at other people's sigs and maybe even large pieces done by graphic artists to see what kind of text they use for their pieces. It might help. There are plenty of good and bad examples out there.

I wasn't particularly good at doing text either but it's something that you get better at along the way. Just keep experimenting with various types and settings and I'm sure you'll come up with something that meets your expectations.

No no no, I must be a little to vague ~

I have an idea of what text looks good and what doesn't I also have something already in my head that I want it to look like...

The problem is that, even though I already have plenty of fonts to use, I apparently don't have enough as in I (quite frequently) go through most of my fonts and can't seem to find one that matches my mental image and still looks good with the entire work.

Then I usually just get impatient or frustrated and use a random one , lol.

I tend to use only one or two kinds of fonts so I don't really think about it. Now that I think of it, most of my fonts are typesetting fonts. Time to find more fonts, I guess. -_-

I'll probably start working around in PS for possible entries this week; still have no idea what theme I should do yet.

I just can't make anything good Been trying to make a few sigs for the past two weeks and I just can't get any good results. Really frustrating

@ Kakashi - I wouldn't say that, I think your tree entry is very nice and the sig you were wearing before that was really nice too.

I've on vacation right now so I have very limited internet access until late tonight. So with the new theme, we can use any old theme? Or just ones from the past year? Sorry if this was already answered.

The MH sig contests are three years old! To celebrate this landmark in MH history, we will have the first anniversary special to celebrate how far we've come. In this special anniversary contest, you can base your submission on any theme that has previously been used in the sig contests.
