The theme hasn't been revealed yet. I'm guessing there will be a theme unless Tsuki has something else to reveal/suprise us with. =D

I'm so busy with school but I feel the same way. This competition will be intense and awesome!

@Coffee - Sorry Coffee, Kakashi changed his mind and we are going to be partners now. I'm still confident you will get a partner. There are still a number of people available and someone will want jump on that chance.

LOL lol lol - I sorta feel like im back in middle school when you had to pair up with someone for some reason or another and your too embarrassed to ask the person you want to team up with so you end up being the only one without a partner XD

anyways the first time I wanted to partner with Team7Forever,
with the participants nowadays I think I would probably mesh with Farfalla or 'Zee (i know right?) the best~

But Oh well

I think it depends on the signature, some might work with a border, some might not... try an see wich is better...
I, personally, don't like borders too much, they must really have a purpose/meaning for me to use them...

I like really small borders. I personally think they make sigs look more complete.

I like borders but it depends on the sig for the same reason as Kaka said.

Like, nanas for example, it looks better they way its without the border.

So, to me, it would depend on your sig and how you want to have it portrayed.

My current sig, has a lot of "cropped off areas" so I need a border to cover up the missing cut of areas.

edit: meant without border / fixed sentence.

The winner of the sword sig contest has been selected, and that artist is kakashi919! :cheerbunny

The work features a girl with whom I am not familiar brandishing a long, narrow blade. Although she is unfamiliar to me, what I can clearly see from her is her dark intent in her beautiful but steely eyes, just as piercing as the blade in her hands. The way her white clothes and fair skin draw the viewer's eyes into the center from the dark background and then down to the blade is quite well done.

The effects in this submission are simply outstanding. Just compare it to the render kakashi919 mentions in the credits. The illumination of flower and hair accessory of the girl is mesmerizing, but the effects on the sword itself are simply breathtaking. So much is happening: a mixture of cool and red colors all with an electrifying flair! I can't make out all of the flotsam and jetsam in the background, but it looks very cool :nod

like flower petals and tassles. I am especially curious about the black and red lacy thing just to the right of the girl's head. At first, I thought it was a black wing with some sort of blood-red writing on it, but upon closer inspection, it is something else. I can't take my eyes off of it and the rest of colorful effects!

The sword overpowers the viewer with its beauty, dazzling the eye and bewitching the mind. It colorfully cuts into the soul. You can see its power but you can't help yourself from falling captive to its ravishing display. The girl knows this It's written all over her face. Such a wicked girl and such a sinister sword!

You have done an amazing job, kakashi919! Seriously, this was incredible. You are have come such a long way that it is astonishing to me. I would say that a sword is a good metaphor for you as an artist. Your style is usually quite rugged and clean-cut thematically. Your skills are as sharp as a sword, and you keep sharpening them. This work boasts your skills quite well. It reminds me a little of that line from Kill Bill, "If, on your journey, you should encounter God, God will be cut!" :worship

Please be sure to give kakashi919 some congratulations for his sharp work! :tem

There is still one week on the sky contest! The submissions so far look good, but I can tell they feel a little lonely. Why not give them some company?
