I've been watching some The Jubilee videos on TikTok, Dean vs. republicans, and goddamn republicans are stupid and bad at arguing. The way they kept claiming Harris slept her way to the top, and Dean was asking if she slept with over 1 million people because she got that many votes.

Make sure to watch the Charlie Kirk episode that happened before that one. Parker is the MVP in that one. The other kids weren't that good, and Charlie was able to get some of them emotional... but I find it weird that they let a professional pundit/debater attack a bunch of kids, but now they've got a kid on the liberal side this time.

Admittedly, Destiny was supposed to be on the very first episode of Surrounded, but they cut ties after his online tweets about him not caring about the peopel that get shot at Trump rallies, lmfao.

Would've been wonderful content.

I saw clips of that, and there's a huge difference between how Charlie argues and how Dean debates. Charlie keeps interrupting while Dean lets his opponents finish, usually, even when they talk over him.

Is Jubilee conservative or wannabe centrist? I usually expect conservatives to let "professional" conservative debaters go up against college students because it means they're more likely to look good. I think they're neither. I think they just care about farming outrage for views. It's obvious when you consider the format. If they wanted legitimate discussion between good faith actors they'd just take one knowledgable person on both sides, have a competent moderator, and time limits. Surrounded is designed to force people to rush out their arguments and/or, limit them to tweetable soundbites that fit in the length of the average TikTok vid.

I read a lot in the media that the race is razor-thin, etc but is there a chance that in November Harris might win by a landslide? Like Trump 2024 doesn't feel the same as in 2020 or 2016, he does less rallies, sounds less energized when speaking and from what I read his groundwork in the swing states is below that in 2020 in both money invested, boots on ground and organization. And most importantly, his election campaign makes less money than Harris one in the final weeks before the election. And as everyone knows, money is really important in such a large country as the US to have your voice be heard.

I don't think she'll win by a landslide. I DO think that she'll probably win though, and not necessarily because of all these celebrity endorsements but rather, endorsements from political sources. She got the military endorsement, for one. And 4 of the 6 living presidents. Tons of labor leaders. Tribal leaders for native tribes. Business execs and academics. Basically, people that move other people through influence. That's who you want endorsing you.

She also got a lot of endorsements from Republicans, quite a lot of them ofc did not vote for Trump 2020 but some seem to be new "never Trumpers". I think Trump is hurting himself with his rally speeches as that might turn off some moderate conservatives and either they won't vote for him, a lost vote, or vote for Harris, which is a double negative for Trump.

When a Dem is told that their particular candidate doesn't care about "the American people", instead of using examples of changes they advocate for that the Dem personally values, listing that candidate's policies that appeal to Reps means they have to find a way to argue against their own values. For example, look at Harris' stance on guns lately, and look at what Trump did with the bump stocks. It's fun watching them try to defend Trump's gun stance while attacking Kamala's while I hit that Dreamworks smirk from behind my monitor.

You're living in fantasy land if you think single-issue 2A voters are voting for a Democrat at the federal level over a Republican regardless of voting record. But sure, it's humorous.

That's what you took from it. From my perspective, young people tend to generally be correct on every single major issue that comes to the forefront and they drag everyone else forward kicking and screaming. Democrats would never lose another election if they at least attempted to do what they did with Obama in 2008. Instead they're too busy masturbating to the endorsement of yet another never-Trumper Republican with politics every bit as Hitlerian as Trump has.
