And say goodbye to Carly Fiorina. She could never get rid of the kicked out CEO of HP from her campaign.
This is important to talk about. Important in that it is a myth that progressives circulate in an attempt to "make socialism work" for their needs. I'm not saying you are doing this consciously, but the origin of the argument is shady. And socialism won't necessarily bankrupt the US. All countries on earth are to a degree socialist, as in, there is a degree of government intervention.
Socialism as a whole doesn't have a single objective definition, there are also a number of ideological aspects which are usually included in the definition which are not immediately obvious. You could refer to something as specific as what you mention in your post but if the definition is limited to only that then nothing would ever be truly socialist, specially nowadays. Even "government control" is a relative term. With this in mind in this type of discussions I would argue whats important is the context in which the word is being used rather than it's exact definition (which in many ways simply doesn't exist). Otherwise you are simply arguing what the name of something is. Which might have relevance because certain words might or not have negative connotation to some people but that would miss the point of what is being discussed as well. This is important to talk about. Socialism is not government control. By this logic, kingdoms would be socialist, Rome would be socialist, Nazi Germany would be socialist, or even Tsarist Russia. Governments anywhere on the spectrum can control society and economics without touching socialism. Intent matters.
Socialism is the democratic control of the means of economic production in a society. Democratic Socialism, as it's called in almost exclusively non-socialist countries, is welfare state capitalism. It's the idea that profits and individual ownership should be the structure of the society but we also should we ensure the population can easily live above the basic standards of living. It only seems radical because our politics have drifted so far Right over the last 40 years.
Why should I, as a hardworking successful person, want to see money go towards helping lazy people get free handouts that I pay for? Its not right nor fair. After toiling all day mentally and physically going out and seeing people who flip burgers, wait tables, or fold clothes or just do nothing getting discounts on food or healthcare or housing assistance makes me sore vexed. Its really unfair. Expanding a system to give them even more benefits like a doubled wage, free college, and more is wrong. There is nothing being done to help successful people. What handouts do successful people get? None.I actually see nothing wrong with handouts, the goal should be to help citizens prosper. Those who want to prosper will prosper and not get handouts anymore, while those who get handouts will be able to eat. You can't be pro-life and not want to people to have food and shelter or not want to accept refugees who are in danger. but then again, republicans seem to be contradictory nowadays.
Can you prove majority of them are lazy? Would you call someone who's working more than two jobs but still unable to make ends meet lazy? Or someone who applies to different jobs every day but gets denied lazy? Can you prove you are hardworking? Do you go above and beyond at your work? Do you take on extra work when you don't have to? Do you do the bare minimum, nor even that if you can get away with it? What do you do that makes you claim you work hard? Why should I, as a hardworking successful person, want to see money go towards helping lazy people get free handouts that I pay for? Refusing refugees is sensible. They security liabilites waiting to go off. Example
Waiting on tables, flipping burgers, greeting people at the door to a supercenter, or even folding clothes isn't exactly hard work. These are tasks that dont take much brain power or even much in the way of doing anything strenuous. Ive never seen people get stress headaches or other issues related to working with brain power in these jobs. Most are so simple even high schools can do such jobs. These are just really lazy jobs and lazy people are in these jobs. Even if one is working multiple ones to get by then something is wrong, like a bad lifestyle decision was made at some point in time. Anyone has equal opportunity to work and find a way into a respectable job that provides financial stability in the context of today's economic marketplace thats full of opportunity. I dont see it as unfair when successful people have put in the time to work to get this sort of financial stability in todays marketplace. If you put in the work to be successful then its is only fair that you are rewarded with financial stability. If you are lazy then its only fair that one only gets a wage that corresponds to their type of output. These jobs don't even provide some sort of life changing revelation, successful jobs with well pay reward with life changes too, Doctors change lives, educators introduce people to a brand new world, scientists and engineers enhance the way of life, it is very fair that these people are rewarded with good pay while those doing mundane jobs are not. These people are the ones who deserve to be the most helped, discounts on purchases, discounts on health care, access to better healthcare, discounts of food and housing, discounts on the very basic needs in life. Can you prove majority of them are lazy? It's unfair that they live on minimum wage or even lower than minimum wage and have to struggle hard while a successful person can live easy and not even have to work hard to make millions of dollars. Why would successful people need handouts anyway? Do you even understand the concept of handouts? They're not for people who can afford to buy luxury cars or go on a vacation without a worry, handouts are for people who struggle and need help. There's plenty being done to help successful people - if they commit a crime they can afford a good lawyer or use their connections to either reduce their punishment or get away free.
Refugees dont have the same morals that we in America have so they are unruly and waiting to incite chaos the moment eyes are off of them. This event could happen in America with the democrats and your plans to expand or even greatly increase the number of Muslim refugees to come into this country. Look at the pictures and videos of the refugees barging into countries, tearing down their fences, and rushing across borders ignoring the officers warnings. Look at them hold hostage to trains and other convoys leading into Europe, scaling cliff faces and crowding on ships. With all this unchecked one wonders if countries are truly going to be safe with all these refugees. America needs to close the borders to refugees in order for us to remain free from security liabilities. How are they security liabilities waiting to go off when nothing indicates that the suicide bombers were refugees? You can't criticize refugees and act as if citizens are good and law-abiding.
This premise only works if you buy into the conservative-spewed horseshit that immigration is unchecked. The entire INS was absorbed into the Department of Homeland Security after 9/11, founded by GW Bush. It's never been more difficult to immigrate or even get a work visa in the US. Get your head out of the mainstream conservative bubble for once.Refugees dont have the same morals that we in America have so they are unruly and waiting to incite chaos the moment eyes are off of them. If one of your coworkers was a refugee or someone you were with while eating at your favorite restaurant, wouldn't you be afraid?
Have you waited on tables or flipped burgers? They're all hard work, and they're likely more difficult than sitting at a desk pushing pencils. I don't know where you heard that bullshit, but these aren't lazy jobs and most people aren't lazy. What about people in Wall Street who committed fraud and aren't being punished for it? People like them should be rewarded, but not workers in labor jobs just because you can sit on your ass and judge them as lazy?Waiting on tables, flipping burgers, greeting people at the door to a supercenter, or even folding clothes isn't exactly hard work. Can you prove this? Do you have any evidence that refugees don't have the same morals? Or are you basing that on two or three violent refugees that Fox News covered? If what you say was true, we'd have hundreds of attacks and acts of terrorism from refugees in the US, but instead most of the attacks and acts of terrorism come from Americans, right wing Americans and black Americans. As long as guns are sold freely, white people stay dominant, and gangs are on the rise, the country will always have security liabilities. The refugees provide the least liabilities. In high school, I worked at a fast food joint for two years to earn some money on the side. Never once did I think it was hard or used brain power or stressful. It isnt hard to talk to people, take and make an order, and pass it out to them. There are harder jobs out there that pay more that people ought to get instead of these easy lazy jobs. People on wall street put in the hard work to get there so why shouldnt they be rewarded? Last I checked it wasnt even easy or simple to get to become a wall street trader.Have you waited on tables or flipped burgers? It is very clear that you have not experienced life, and that you have been sheltered and likely not been allowed to see what real life is like. I don't know where you picked up these ideas, but they're such load of shit. There is no equal opportunity in the US, and anyone who says that is blind or lying. People like you with similar thoughts are why America can't grow. And if you were up to date on current events, you know the marketplace isn't full of opportunity, even though there are more jobs now than there were few years ago. People can put in 120% of the work and still fail while an incompetent worker can get hired just because he's connected to the CEO or an HR manager.
There are legitimate security concerns with taking refugees and people who were past terrorists have been let in. And I quoteCan you prove this? Where's the lie in what Bernie said? You even showed what a hypocrite you and other republicans were. Want rights and freedom back and less government interference, but you guys have no problem with banning abortion and same sex marriage, even making the government try to outlaw that.listening to bernie sanders on debates makes me so annoyed and agitated. He's so out there with ideas. Hilary sounds so strong.
so are the republicans, but Sharkbait doesn't care as long as it serves his agenda.Hillary Clinton is a liar.
