... Don't you understand the reason why it is that they have such a military? The region has been in perpetual conflict for like 60 years and it's military is powerful bevause it has the muscle of the West behind it.
What I fail to understand is why they'd still need aid.

If aide was ever to be stopped or have more stipulations on it, I'm not sure. But policy would most likely have to change... But that happening seems rather unlikely.
Why stop aiding a nation which do not require aid would harm the relationship?

I feel like you're picking apart my wording without actually comprehending what I've said.

Either that or you don't understand what foreign aid is and what purpose it serves.

I would not overestimate the Aide Israel is getting from the west, too, because a lot of Money from the west goes into pro palestine NGOs in Israel too, some of which are not only pro palestine but also anti Israel.

The Military Aide however is consistently there. That said, when Israel really needed it in the wars against the arab world, the west was pretty reluctant and Israel still remembers that.
Wew have to see that, yes, Israel gets certain Discounts, just recently the EU let Abbas hold a speech in which he said Israelis poison wells so that pelstine children die, and he got Applause for that.

Do you think Israel in it's present condition needs US aid?

I don't know the whole thing is a mess. The existence of Israel was borne from good intentions, but we've been dealing with the results of it for decades now and I don't think our foreign policy has been as fair as it should be (not that foreign aid hasn't been appropriated to the West Bank/Gaza as well).
I've never heard of such foreign aid going to the West Bank/Gaza; this would be the first time I've heard of.

I don't know, I feel he can do something about it. But then again, it seems an overwhelming majority support Israel. I remember reading an article on Bardem and Cruz being criticized by Rivers and majority of the citizens for taking Palestine's side, and being forced to issue an apology letter. Here's a source I got from Googling "Javier Bardem Penelope Cruz Israel."

Speaking of that, Joan Rivers is a horrible person, and I have no idea why people felt bad or honored her. But that's for a different topic.

Would be nice if Israelis and Palestinians can live side by side, actually.
It's already bad enough that people (especially Politicians) are giving President Obama shit about how he's not supporting Israel the way they should support them (which he is supporting them IIR). It's like a "Support me, or you're racist/<Insert Prefix>phobic" type of argument.

Yeah, it would be really great for that change. It might happen sometime in the future, but I doubt it'll happen anytime soon.

I find it weird not supporting Israel makes you anti-Semitic, but not supporting Palestine is okay, and the murders done by the Israeli army is justifiable.

Anyway, anyone hear Giuliani blame Obama for terrorist attacks in the country and claimed it never happened before Obama came to office? I thought Giuliani was okay, but this just made me lose all respect for him, and he just symbolized how stupid most Trump supporters are. I'm not sure if he was the mayor at the time, but does he not remember 9/11, when Bush was the president?

People like Giuliani and Trump are why US isn't respected. Chris Christie is a piece of shit disgrace and an embarrassment to NJ, and now Giuliani is showing he is a dumbass.

THANKS A LOT OBAMA

Probably not to the degree in which it gets it. But aside from aid, I would like the US to have a firmer stance against things Israel does, such as military thuggery and illegal landgrabs. Our government and military doesn't exist to support people hoping to funnel as many people into a "Holy Land" for eschatological purposes. Granted, that's not what everyone over there is hoping to do, some of it just plain old sovereignty issues...but it still isn't morally acceptable for us to support such things by extension.

I've never heard of such foreign aid going to the West Bank/Gaza; this would be the first time I've heard of.
Well, it would require further research due to the source being Wikipedia, but according to a chart I saw, West Bank/Gaza technically received more aid per person than Israel did in 2013. Maybe the situation has changed since then, but I can't find any more recent numbers.

Giuliani proved himself to be a shill the last time he ran for president. To think, a guy who was universally loved in the wake of 9/11, to completely ruin his support in the process of trying to move up the political ladder. Worst of all, he's a charlatan. Going on shows and giving speeches claiming to have some sort of expert knowledge on foreign affairs, when there's no examples of him ever having to make decisions regarding such a thing. The guy was elected off the basis that he put a lot of organized crime people in jail, and was a good mayor. But since then, it's been a complete money-grab with his "consulting" firm and becoming a pundit. The guy had less support as a presidential nominee than people like freaking Mike Huckabee or Mitt Romney the first time he ran.

The US doesn't care about morals and shit, they care about what benefits them the most. If the public doesn't like it, they would try to spin a propaganda. It's all fucked up.

No wonder why his daughter goes against him. Giuliani may be a good father for all I know, but his ideas are probably what made his daughter rebel. Unless I'm mixed up with another politician's daughter. Chris Christie is no better either, probably giving Trump metaphorical blowjobs just so he can move up as well.

But is that fucked up? That is what every Country does, and if it doesnt, it gets accused for it by populists from that Country.

Yeah, it is fucked up because the goal isn't for the betterment of everyone, it's to profit as much as possible and demonize a group as an excuse to kill them or be nonchalant about it.

Also, I find it hilarious whenever a Trump supporter calls Hillary supporters sheep. Hypocrisy at its finest. Trump supporters will believe any lie Trump will say, they don't have the right to call others sheep.

Countries don't need excuses to kill people...it's just what happens. And saying that countries intentionally demonize specific groups of people in order to fulfill their aims is saying a few things. You're either one of these conspiracy theorists who insist on some sort of cabal pushing for a NWO of globalization. Or you're saying nations operate with some sort of collective thought. Or you're comparing the US to Nazi Germany.

All countries try to act in their best interests. Despite this, yes, people will die. That will never change....unless you see humanity becoming like they're portrayed in Star Trek or something.

But is there betterment of all which is feasible?
Betterment of all would mean for richer nations to give up on their wealth, and before that process is finished, any Democracy will stop it.

Thus, the high road of politics is to defend the interests of your Country while not breaking too much or ideally improving other people's Situation as well.

And lately, the US did that rather well.

Interesting...
I wouldn't be surprised if the numbers changed, especially with the recent events (stabbings and shootings).

They would in order to avoid people protesting or growing supremely disillusioned, no? Isn't that what happened during Vietnam/Korean Wars?

US has always been a master of propaganda - American Dream? But if US isn't trying to make Palestine look bad, why does most of the media and people make Israel look out to be good and Palestinians as bad, pointing out the Muslim terrorists going after the Jewish while justifying Israeli army taking out Palestinian citizens? Why is opposing Jewish considered Anti-Semitic but opposing Muslims is okay?

Too much bloodshed. doesn't make it better just because people will die.

There's no such thing as ideally improving other people's situation. How did US do that well? Many inhabitants of the countries claim how countries like US and UK sapped them of resources and left them worse off.

The anti-communist propaganda wasn't necessarily directly linked to a group of people, but an ideology and the countries who supposedly used it as a basis for their society. The Vietnam and Korean wars were presented as being fought in order to combat the spread of "evil" communism and promote "good" capitalism/democracy. I don't think at any point there was a vilification of religious or ethnic groups.

I don't think that's really the case anymore in 2016, especially in liberal circles. There will be people who unconditionally support Israel regardless (the religious Right and conservative Jewish population) and those who are more realistic about it. I think the latter group is larger today than it used to be.

I firmly believe he has a very good chance at winning the Election.

The first reason is that he's addressing the problems going on and gives people a straight answer about how he'll handle it (not that I agree with his solutions). The second reason is that he knows how to lure people into playing his game (which is the name calling), and some of it are quite accurately as well, like "Crooked Hillary". Third (and final) reason is that the Democrats Cactus-fucked themselves really hard with the leaked Emails, which is an enormous damage.

The only problems that Trump has is his stupid ego and his inability to "think before you speak", which resulted in a shitton of controversy like claiming Mexicans are Murderers and Rapists. However, of all the problems that I personally see about Trump, it's that he fails to take responsibility and prefers to blame it on anything that isn't himself (Like that reporter who happens to like Trump, only for her to have her hair pulled by some of his agent; worst part is that Trump claimed that it never happened). If he can't take responsibility or even apologize to the offenses he actually committed, then he might as well as drop out of the race because we don't need a Commander in Chief who can't take responsibility or even acknowledge his (or her) mistake.
