That's a good point you make, but I still don't see the potential abolishment (let alone, reform) of the Electoral College. Maybe the Conservatives/Republicans would want such a thing, especially with Trump who destroyed the GOP, but I doubt the Democrats would want a system like that to be tampered with.
Then again, anything is possible. If changing/eliminating the system means a better voting system, then I'm cool with that.
Well, there certainly isn't anyone actively campaigning for this in a noticeable way, at least as far as I know. That said, I don't think either party is particularly fond of the system. The whole thing leads to Gerrymandering which is a dumb competition between parties which undermines democracy. I think the main issue here is political will. It's not something the parties love but its not something they can make a big issue out of either and thus leave it aside. That said, I do think it is republicans who would want to keep this as is. At least as far as I know it is the republican party that has been taking the most advantage out of Gerrymandering due to them having a huge demographic problem across the board. And the delegate system is one which in theory should have prevented trump from being the candidate (but it didn't). Clinton is not a strong or likeable candidate however she is a legitimate democrat who has a long career in the party (unlike trump who is at odds with his party, his conservative values are in question, and has proven again and again she has virtually no knowledge of.... well, anything).

Even with a terrible answer/"no answer", he is addressing issues going on worldwide. I'm not saying he's giving good answers or has better solutions, but what I'm saying is that his "strategy" seems to work in a certain degree (a combination of fearmongering and nationalism, the latter being the most dangerous).

/QUOTE]
What do you mean? Right now every single poll has trump loosing by double digits. That should be proof that his "strategy" is without a shred of a doubt not only not working but actively hurting him. Recently he went as far as to give an "apology". A remarkably stupid apology but he still kinda sort back tracked without kinda sorta not doing that. No candidate whose strategy is working would do this.

To be fair, polls may be accurate for what's currently happening, so anything could happen between now and November that could give Trump an enormous boost (like a Terrorist Attack that rivals 9/11 or an enormous fuck up that would result in Hillary losing), but that is assuming nothing major happens in the next 3 months.

But yes, I've recently heard of his "apology", which is definitely surprising to me. Now he's asking for the Black voters; I guess he's being desperate.

I hear the race is tightening. Is Trump making a strong comeback?
Haven't seen much news on the election lately. How things are going on?

Well, last I heard trump was closing the lead but he was still 5 points behind. Not sure if there has been any other news on that front. Then there was his immigration speech which went back to where it was at during the primaries rather than the seemingly more lenient tone he had taken over the past week or so. If anything he doubled down on the anti immigration thing. As for hillary, she is still haunted by her emails. The FBI released details regarding the interview they had with hillary. Hillary just answered to everything that she simply didn't know stuff regarding classified material either in her emails or in general.

http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/pollster/2016-general-election-trump-vs-clinton

This is the best page to look at for the current situation becuase it takes all polls into consideration, thus is a meta poll.

Clinton is leading by a very far margin. If you ask me, trump is not going to win if nothing absolutely unforseen happens.
Another clinton scandal + trump completely destroying her in their debate could top the tide, but aside from that, he has no chance.

I guess it also depends on the answers both the Candidates gives. A good example for the two are:
Trump's proposal on punishing women for committing abortion, and then stated that he'll re-evaluate his position.
Hillary's comments about Mine Workers.

If, let's say, Hillary has given a solid answer to a question while Trump goes Bamm-Bamm on the audience and the media (again), then there's a good chance that Hillary will gain an upper hand than Trump. If Trump "matured" (which I have doubts, but at least he's making small progress I think?) and dropped the name calling in the debate WHILE giving out some acceptable answers (as well as questioning Hillary over certain topics, like her emails or the Benghazi attack), then he might catch up on Hillary.
It's going to be a make-it or break-it for Trump, and he seriously needs to step up his game if you wants to win the election.

According to retweets from a conservative, Trump is gaining or ahead while Hillary is losing lead quickly.

I think that after all the questioning, Clinton can be woken up deep in the night while drunk and baked, and if then someone just murmurs the word 'benghazi' she will still give you a well worded 5.000 word essay by by heart without breathing inbetween.

I wouldn't blame her if she's sick and tired of the whole Benghazi controversy. Millions of Taxpayers' money are being poured over countless of investigations.

Meanwhile, on Florida: Tim Canova lost to Debbie Wasserman Schultz in the 23rd Congressional District Primary. I've basically lost faith in the state, especially how they've allowed someone who gave the middle finger to millions of voters to win such political position.

This article explains the situation a bit. I do feel like people really aren't panicking enough at the whole trump situation regardless.

Clinton has been having scandals after scandals, coughing fits and shit that conservatives are claiming make her unfit because of her health, and refusal to have press conference or some shit, forgot the specifics.
That's an average tuesday for hillary.... There is plenty of legitimite stuff to attack her and they focus on the most ridiculous stuff they can find. The documents the FBI released are being used by her opponents to make a number of points but regardless of that the documents would actually justify teh FBI's decision to not indite her on gross negligence... The coughs are ridiculous, anyone can cough and not be at death's doorstep.

Didn't stop them from nominating McCain, so it's somewhat of a hypocrisy. Plus, Trump looks just as bad for the wear, if not worse. And all that tanning... what if he gets skin cancer? :gwah

Trump gets interviewed by Bill O' Reilly; Bill says that Mike Pence will release his Tax Returns, and Trump says he doesn't need to/"Americans don't care about such things" and goes on making both attacks on Hillary (on her Emails that has literally nothing to do with Bill's question) and contradicts himself REALLY badly. Doesn't surprise anyone who's sane, but it just supports that he's hiding something from the people (maybe someone will crack open the case just as the wikileaks cracked opened the DNC emails?).

Realistically speaking there is little to no reason to think trump has nearly as much money as he claims to do. And really, that is the entire basis of his campaign. If he presents his tax returns and it turns out he doesn't even have 1000 million dollars it would basically be the end of his campaign. And he probably does not have anything near even that considering the petty way he has been funneling donation money to himself. It's not like he is funneling millions and millions of dollars either (as far as we know) but rather much smaller amounts which you'd think wouldn't even register with a proper billionaire with the magnitude of success he pretends to have.

Dems need to attack him on that matter. Really haven't seen any news about Clinton lately. She needs to be making headlines too. If she just sits back and let everyone talk about Trump, then she is basically gifting the presidency to Trump.

Well, democrats are attacking him on the matter and everything else they can. From what I can tell clinton does appear in the news quite a bit. Difference would be that clinton does not say "outrageous" things like trump does so the effect of what she says is different. Trump can wake up one morning, say something completely asinine and untrue and explicitely stupid and the internet will subsequently explode while his supporters will either agree or just ignore it. Hillary does not have that luxury. In turn based on the information around hillary does have a much stronger campaign and more significant TV presence than trump since she has gotten far more money from donations than trump has and thus can afford it. That said, hillary does still maintain a lead over trump, enough to decisively crush him were the elections to take place today. I do think that her biggest risk is people not showing up to vote for her though rather than the actual majority of the country supporting trump. I don't think there is a single scenario where trump can win assuming a certain amount of people show up to vote.

I really do not see any way how Trump can win this election if not for unforeseen things, as i said.
And i say that since months.

The polls talk a very clear language and are pretty reliable by now.

Basically, everything clinton has to do is playing it safe, bring a good debate and possibly stop using emails for now.

Let them talk about all the outragious things trump says. It benefits her to not go down on his Level.
She just has to seem halfway competent in the debate and get it over with.

And by the end of the year, you guys got your first female president.
And in my personal opinion, clinton will be a very good president

Well, how predictable would record low numbers of people not showing up to vote? For the most part you are right. Clinton as of now has a clear advantage. For the most part she simply has to not further screw things up (though most of her current criticism is from past stuff). BUT trump does have something clinton does not have at the time being. Trump's fans are actually excited to have him as president. They are likely to show up (unless for some reason it turns out his supporters are not a group that votes anyways but then again that sounds unlikely considering they did vote at the primaries) to vote in hordes. His base is not a particularly huge group (15% or so of the entire general election voters IIRC). But clinton does not generate any level of excitement in voters. She has her base o supporters but it's not nearly as excited as trump supporters. Generic democrats are probably ok with her but don't love her. Liberals see her as a generic establishment candidate who does not give 2 consecutive shits about them and if anything her centrism stands at odds with them. The only reason they even consider voting for her at all is trump is.... trump.

You are right that all numbers show clinton winning comfortably. The math checks out and by any rational metric trump should be well on his way to loosing this miserably. But there clearly is a wildcard element to the whole thing, otherwise trump running for president would have never made it past the joke stage. But hillary still generates virtually no excitement. How many people are simply not voting on that alone? Minorities have a number of hurdles voting even if they do support hillary by wide margins. People need to panic at the prospect of trump having a chance at all and show up to vote.
