Hillary was definitely struggling at his responses, but outside of that, Trump hasn't been on-topic over the answers.
In other words, I think Hillary won the debate with answering questions, but Trump was extremely sharp on his responses that basically stunned her and went to a denial state.
I think her problem was that she knew she should not answer him on those ones.
She knew if she gets into his game she would lose. Judging whether what he says is so outragously wrong that she has to get into it or rather just ignore him is hard.

If i were her, i think i would have said something more about him attacking bill. If she had gone so 'wife giving a heartfelt explanation about overcoming marital problems' route, it might have garnered her a lot of points.

In the end, it depends whether the undecided voters care about policy.
After all, benghazi is something that anyone who is interested can read up. People who hate her for it won't stop, and the rest has already heard of it by now. I don't think it sticks a lot.

And about Bill: The fun thing is that he was there. He sat in the audience, he was greeted by the trump family. I don't think it looked like trump's family or anyone there ACTUALLY thinks bill clinton is a rapist.
And that picture is important.

Indeed. I think trump will come out of this looking stronger (even if fact and policy wise he was as atrocious as ever). From what I can tell hillary prepared for everything except for trump preparing for the debate. Trump interrupted and talked overtime more than hillary but I think that ended up working better for trump. Hogging airtime is as good a strategy as ever.

I am not so sure whether he might have come off negatively in that debate.

For people who do not actually think clinton is a criminal he must have come off like a bully.

Damm, that debate was priceless for so many reasons. I lost it at "you'd be in jail" :XD

This will all be over in a month right? Will miss this great entertainment that is the US elections.

Hmm, I didn't think that Hilary praising Trumps children was such a great answer. Once again she took the opportunity to mention that she's a grandmother, implying she's human one can relate to or whatever, when there was that scandal with Trump Jr posing with dead lions in a savana Africa's.
I thought his answer was better there.

But jesus christ is the US a fucked up country. I am following this elections in awe of how my hope in humanity declines with every passing day.

Who do you think published the Trump footage, Campaign Hilary or republican saboteurs? The timing couldn't have been more carefully chosen, amirite?

A quick google search suggests it was the washington post that found that audio. I am not so sure there are that many details regarding that. I don't think it would make much of a difference in hillary's campaign found the audio though.

Early polls seem to suggest people favor hillary over trump. It's only early polls but perhaps it is enough to warrant cautious optimism. And fivethirtyeight updated their forecast to 82% for hillary.

Definitely an inside job. I mean, there was a better timing for clinton. Right after the third debate, with half a month in which trump does not even really have the chance to explain himself or accuse clinton.
Right now, clinton was far ahead anyway. If i were her campaign, i would have saved that one for after i am in a pinch.
After the second debate when they were more even, they coulda released the video to tip the public opinion.

But like that, it points to me that someone from the campaign who got fired wanted payback or something like that.

Oh,paul ryan won't be defending trump anymore. He has not yet withdrawn his support but after having said that he might as well. Apparently even trump's brely adequate debate performance was not enough to salvage him. Too bad that even this would save ryan's integrity, if he had any he would have simply not ever endorsed a guy who clearly is at odds with him (Well, not in everything but the 10% in which they disagree should have been enough anyways).

It is so incredibly embarassing how high profile reps still endorsed trump.
No matter what he said about them, no matter what they said about him first.
And they would have ignored the 'pussy' comment too if he had been winning at that point.
They just waited for that moment to leave the sinking ship.

What? Im so glad shes in last place as this is awful proposed legislature. Not only will it eliminate people from putting food on their tables and clothes on their families back, but now every person in America will have to pay a "pollution" tax? Senseless. She does know that the government itself doesnt even use a fleet of 100% green vehicles and have buildings running only on nonrenewable energy.
You shouldn't pretend to be worried about people not having food on their tables or clothes on their families' back when you seem to be against it as well.

The cases that gain attention nationally run the gamut as far the pertinent details go. The onus is also on prosecutors to bring appropriate charges if they feel criminal behavior has occurred. Not every case is going to result in officers being convicted of murder, nor should it.

>implying that every question and questioner hasn't already been vetted by officials from both parties before CNN even gets to talk to them :kappa
Not saying every case should be, but a lot of cases should. I mean, six shots to a guy running away warrants a guilty charge as opposed to shooting a guy who pulled out a gun.

our nations forefathers would be offended by the current happenings in the election, our countrry should be city shining on the hill with christian values, these are not christian values :(
Christian values such as looking at nonwhites as lower than human and deserving to be slaves? Christian values such as being against homosexuality? Christian values such as divorce being a bad thing, but people still getting divorced?

Christian values are bad, and it's embarrassing that people defend it, make it look out to be better than Muslim values, and/or claim this country is a Christian country. Christian values, Muslim values, Catholic values, whatever values have you, are all bad.

It'd have gotten her points with her genuine supporters, but I doubt it'd have done much out of that. Hillary's reputation is that of a wife who let her husband get away with abusing women and shaming the accusers; most people would probably counter that overcoming marital problems route with her staying with Bill for political reasons and letting him get away with crimes and all.

I don't know, maybe it's just courtesy. Probably sure Bill and Trump want to fuck Ivanka though, but tbh, who doesn't?

Ryan won't withdraw his endorsement because Trump is a republican, and Ryan would rather have a shitty republican in office than a slightly less shitty democrat. It doesn't matter if Ryan won't ever defend Trump and will criticize him, he's still endorsing him, and that says a lot.

Well, he stopped just short of removing his endorsing. Certainly he already sold out by endorsing trump to begin with and that won't go away even if he actually removes his endorsement of trump. I do think this is just a start. I could see him effecively removing his endorsement if things continue to go south. He will probably withhold that as much as he conceivably can considering that even if he does not believe trump can win he probably does not want to be remembered as the guy who actually put the last nail on trump's chances at the presidency.

You know what the best part about this is? Ted Cruz, asshole extraordinaire. 2 weeks ago he endorsed trump and now republicans are slowly removing the endorsement.... I am actually close to feeling sorry for the guy (but it is still hilarious).

He blames mainstream media... What a sad and pathetic way to back down from endorsing the guy who said all those things about his family.

Ted cruz is a trainwreck of bad karma, and he even drags other people into it.
Remember having carly fiorina as running mate for like a day? ^^

Remember when he said he can never endorse someone who insulted his wife?

The most fun thing is that ALL, EVERYONE SINGLE ONE of those guys attacked clinton exactly for being a turncoat.
Which they might even in some cases be able to make a case for, but still....gladdhouse and stones and all that.

He took over their party and their voters, republicans are having an existential crisis atm.

Ah, yeah lol. I am not sure whose karma screwed whom in that one lol. What did he even hope to accomplish with her? She was detestable human being who had 5 minutes of notoriety over lies about the planned parenthood videos. Did he hope that by standing next to her he would look less like a piece of crap? The most likely scenario is that fiorina was literally the only person in the republican party who did not burst into hysterical laughter when ted proposed and he figured he had nothing to loose.

Ted cruz is one of the few individuals who i have a hard time feeling sorry for.
Because you know that when he had the chance, he'd screw people over double as hard as he is screwed now.

Not saying every case should be, but a lot of cases should. I mean, six shots to a guy running away warrants a guilty charge as opposed to shooting a guy who pulled out a gun.
A lot of cases have been. But it doesn't change that trying to prove someone is guilty of murder is already a daunting task, let alone when they're walking around with a gun and trained to use it. There's also examples with insufficient evidence or people resisting arrest leading to physical altercations where a gun ends up being used. I mean, to me, if you resist arrest, you're being unjustifiably reckless with your own well-being, regardless of any other factors. Keep in mind, it's never up to a suspect whether they deserve to be arrested or not. Yet, you have people acting like they have a say in that, interacting recklessly with people who carry firearms and betting on them not to use them, simply because they may not be armed with one themselves. But how could any cop know that? Just think about how atrociously unconcerned with self-preservation one needs to be to come into physical contact with a cop? It's not up to a cop to be the best hand-to-hand fighter in the county. Maybe in a perfect world, it should be. In a perfect world, maybe even cops don't need to carry guns...but I don't think we live in that world.

The main caveat here is that I don't know what it's like to be a minority who feels unjustifiably targeted by the police. But I don't know what it's like to be a cop either. With that being said, there is a difference between murder and malfeasance. I realize we're not talking about specific cases though, that usually results in more useful discussion, I guess.

What always amazes me is how someone can walk free after 'standing his ground' in most of the cases, but if a victim of domestic violence shoots its attacker it's often facing a very harsh penalty.
