I wouldn't call what we have right now a wall. A flimsy fence is far more accurate. A proper wall or means of blocking illegal immigration is a wise decision. He just has to go about it right.

There are actual walls in a variety of places.

And I disagree that it's wise. A huge portion of illegals in our country never crossed our southern border to get here. The West Bank wall in Israel is a third the size of our southern border and has been in construction since the 1970s. Putting a wall up doesn't treat any of the symptoms of why people come here in the first place either. Federal court will be clogged with tons and tons of eminent domain cases...the wall will never happen.

That is my point. Hillary maybe unfit to be the president. But that doesn't make Trump fit.

I don't disagree...but it's not like someone else has a chance of getting elected...?

I know many of you don't like Mexico. But Mexico is one of the fastest growing economy in the world. In 40 years they'll be among the top 10 economies in the world. I think it's important to have a good relation with Mexico. In the long run it will be better for America.

I have no problem with Mexico (well, I mean, not in the way most would accuse me of). I think a good relationship with them is important, as much as it will be to build one for Russia. The problem is only with accepting their citizens without check and limit, especially when they cannot even go through legal channels.

I think purely as a civil servant, she was run of the mill. I'm not interested in believing the best or worst thing said about her. But there is nothing about her as a politician that is impressive to me. She's not the candidate I wanted. I would have even taken O'Malley over her, and I had huge problems with him as our governor.

I'm talking about revamping the electoral college. Which would require a super-majority in a republican-controlled congress. Plus, the system is what got Trump elected, so why would he go against his own interests if he wins? You don't really expect that sort of altruism out of this guy, are you?

Yes, I know what you are talking about. Trump wants to reform the electoral college, which I think came from the last election. If he wins, he's got that Republican control too.

Whether or not he does it is different. I said that's what he said he wanted to do.

I think you are misunderstanding me here. He said he wants to do it and there is no reason to suspect he won't go through with his words, but as we saw with a lot of things Obama wanted to do, it doesn't always pan out.

A lot of people dismiss the more deplorable things, I know. My problem with Trump has always been about his policy and the way he thinks.

I think when this was all starting up, people were speculating on a Trump presidency being more moderate, due to his liberal past.....but it's still a massive crapshoot.

Public universities already receive money from taxpayers. I didn't necessarily say whether it was pragmatic or not, but I think what our higher education system has turned into is completely deplorable. If you are unwilling to invest in the future of your young citizens, what future can you expect them to have?

Trump is entirely honest...far more honest than a lot of people would like him to be. The difference lies in his capabilities to fulfill his promises.

He's also winning by popular vote the last I checked. He has a problem with the EC because it is corrupt and that's what got him a lot of loose votes. Just because it helps him win this election doesn't mean he wouldn't still reform it. We'll see if he's allowed or capable of doing it though...

Higher taxes to pay for all this "free" for everyone else isn't a solution either. The poor class is already struggling as it is to even survive. Many countries in Europe have free Universities. And what's wrong cutting defense funds? You guys spend almost 600Bn in defense budget. That's more than 1/3 of what rest of the world spends. China with a much bigger military spends 215 Bn.
