Also people who say the extreme left and the extreme right are same/similar are so wrong and ignorant. From my observation:

the extreme left will often protest by disrupting traffic, defacing property or objects (likely knowing that said object would be protected), and etc. Very rare for them to kill anyone and often, they're more likely to get hurt. Palestinian supporters wanted to draw attention to the genocide of Palestinian supporters and get a ceasefire going? They stopped traffic and organized marches.

The extreme right will often protest by hurting or killing people, like how Sheriff David Clark or whatever threatened to punch reporters during Trump's campaign/victory.


So anyone painting both in same light are either just plain stupid and ignorant or deliberately trying to make the left look bad.

So apparently trump's truth social is now worth 14 billion and trump owns nearly 80% of it. I suppose the stock value won't hold up for long but for now trump is technically as wealthy as he claims. I gotta wonder how brazen he'll be in selling the stock... or can he even politically afford to do that? With his financial liabilities you'd think he'd be more than willing to cash in. The world is crazy.

I am kinda surprised he simply hasn't finalized the grift, cashed out and leave his followers hanging dry... You'd almost think he believes in the company.

Different issue but to me it's felt for a while that musk's impact on twitter has been vastly overstated. He did apparently tank the company's revenue stream but he has stuck to his alleged principles on this one at least. It is a shame that he has been utterly ineffective at keeping bots out.

Hmmm, I don't think you are handling basic financial concepts. As far as I can tell trump created truth social. When a company is created it's made up of a number of shares and the value is pretty much what investors put into it. Obviously the owners (in this case trump and co) own all the stock. Then it increases in value as it makes money. The real value of a company is generally the sum of its assets, debts, cash... but this can be tricky to pinpoint and there are multiple ways to calculate the value of a company. When it goes public speculation drives share price up or down. The "right" way to invest is usually buy and hold. You buy a stock from a company you think will make money and sell it years down the line at a profit. Speculation means a stock in the marketplace can have value that is different from reality. As in, worth more or less than the sum total of its assets, debt, profits... But generally stocks eventually come to a price that meets reality.

Now, when it comes to truth social evidence suggest the company is essentially operating at a massive loss but it's stock is worth an astronomical 50 bucks (was 75). So trump can't make money from company dividends because there are none. A stock going up or down by itself does not generate any cash flow. In a non trump case buying a stock obviously requires you to give money in exchange for said stock. But it going up or down in value doesn't generate any cash flow. Selling a stock causes you to realize either a gain or a loss (unless you bought and sell for the same price in which case you simply lost to inflation).

TBH I don't think biden will win at this point. Even if biden wasn't a potato the reality is that his policies cater to essentially no one. Trump obviously is not better in the grand schemes of things but he at least caters to someone (even if they are lunatics who think the world is run by lizards).

I will add that there's still room for endless scams trump can run in the stock market. People can make money there in the most inane ways, my post is by no means comprehensive on that rabbit hole. But the more obvious way for trump to make money there is to simply sell his stock if anyone is willing to pay for it.

I have very little knowledge about Truth Social. I didn't know Trump created it, but he's probably not too worried because he tends to call bankruptcy and benefit from it. He's also probably confident someone will buy.

So according to trump his social media platform has zero debt and 200 mil in cash. I suppose with it's initial offering the company should be sitting on some cash but you'd also think it'll burn through it quite quickly. Stock has tumbled to 48 which is not half as bad as asshats reporting on it make it out to be. Overstated in what sense? There's been cataclysmic moments but it's still operational now, sure. But there's no denying that from a UI/UX and functionality standpoint, it's worse off IMO. That and the free reign he's given for unbanned accounts, allowed people who posted CP back onto the platform, not to mention every variety of bigot you can think of. At the very least they used to fear reprisal of some sort and shut the fuck up. Not to mention blue checkmark bots under every tweet with even a moderate amount of traffic.

Trump has a habit of screwing his former partners when they're no longer of any use to him. Trump and his cronies are betting his mom-and-pop fans to buy company stock. As long as they keep the stock price high, Trump will be able to slowly cash out his holdings and make a few billion dollars. With luck, by the time the bubble bursts Trump and his investors will be fully divested at a huge profit. Of course, keep in mind that there's a six-month lockup on the stock following the merger, so Trump can't cash out right away. Even if the merger goes ahead on schedule, there's no telling how much the stock will be worth when the lockup expires.

In other words, the whole thing is a shabby scheme designed to extract millions of dollars from Trump's MAGA fans, who will be left holding the bag when Truth Social collapses. The only losers will be the moms and pops who bought the stock.

Features are either hidden away behind hidden menus or things are just plain broken. Can't see a tweet's quotes beyond 20 random ones at any given time. Videos have went to being awful quality to not even playing half the time on mobile.

The bots are full rampage mode unlike anything seen before from my experience. Not to mention this failure of a rebrand that serves no purpose other than to stroke his own ego. A service is so ubiquitous that it has words added to the dictionary on it's behalf and he decides that's not good enough. The site is still mostly usable, whatever credit he thinks he deserves for that, but it's not a better experience now than it was before he bought it.

Hmmm, I've never had trouble loading tweets quotes or videos tbh. Bots are definitely rampant. I suppose the neonazis and such are a problem but in your country though it's not something I see on my twittersphere. I feel like there's no real way to win on that front. Either they get to be on social media or they milk them being "censored" (out of an app whose express purpose is to get adds to the cattle). I think the more significant contribution of musk to twitter so far has been tanking it's revenue string in the end. I still think social media's business model is ultimately incompatible with them being public forums. It's insane to have a public forum where the app is continually driving up "engagement" to sell adds, it's beyond toxic.
