I don't feel much of an affinity for republicans, least of all trump. I don't feel republicans nowadays have properly democratic stances nor policies that leads towards good governance. Which is not to say I think democrats are awesome either, I don't have as much democracy related issues with them but they do have flaws regarding proper governance as well.

If I remember correctly, you seem to dislike immigration/migration unless it's dire needs, complain about "woke," seem to have an issue with LGBT+ people (I could be very wrong on this as I'm going by the argument you and ninjabot had?), and I think you weren't happy with Black actors playing white roles on a Netflix show or something. That's why I figured you'd be a bit more leaning towards republicans instead of Dems even if you hate both.

Politically those things are not important to me (except immigration, that one is important to me). They don't really relate to a functioning democracy or proper governance. The extent of what I said about drag is that it should basically stay in an adult setting, that doesn't mean I want drag outlawed or persecuted. And if I dislike a casting then that's solved by me not watching or streaming a movie.

Immigration does touch on governance/democracy but republicans stance of inflicting maximum cruelty on illegal immigrants instead of targeting businesses that hire illegal immigrants doesn't really sit right with me. Whatever it is biden did over the past few years is also nonsense (at a minimum it's not how I'd want my country to be run). And while politicians in the US are actively not doing anything useful in regards to this cartels and gangs are raking in god knows how much money from people trying to migrate to the US. Kidnappings, extortions, human trafficking (coyotes, prostitution and worse). And of course cartels and gangs in most places in south and central america are now far more powerful than they've ever been (of course, illegal immigration is not the sole reason for this but it doesn't help).

It's probably true that Obama thinks that but he will eventually give his endorsement to the Democrats' nominee. He just doesn't want to do it before the DNC.

Doesn‘t change that Biden doesn‘t acknowledge his mental decline, nor do people at his side. As much as I agree with you that he‘s not doing well mentally, we don‘t know the extent of it, what he can or cant do, so Trumps comment is simply a headcannon that you‘re following. He may be fine for both campaigning and being president, but know he can‘t do 4 more years of it, or just be able to properly do one of the two.

Just very disingenuous to take it as „he stepped down because he is mentally unable to campaign“ and then make followup thoughts based on that. Most likely he quit the campaing because of what his party wants as implied by his statement.

I mean, I wouldn't trust someone Biden's (or Trump's) age to drive me to the corner store or watch my kids. People act like the "mental decline" thing is some huge insult when it's just a natural thing that happens when you're 80+. Even people who maintain most of their memories and cognitive function significantly slow down as they age. Everything Trump says is "headcannon" but "80 year old has cognitive decline" is basically "water is wet." No person in that age group is fit to lead the most powerful nation. Including Trump.

I think trying to frame any kind of logic around how the Republican Party will handle this election is a flawed approach. Just yesterday my grandfather sent me a photo of Kamala and Epstein embracing on a beach. He thought it was real. The crazier thing is that Trump behaving certain ways is OK to them (for instance, being photographed many times with Epstein for real) but a shit photoshop job of a fit Kamala embracing a muscular Epstein in the beach is something to worry about. It’s bizarre. Diapers for Trump, people wearing fake ear bandages to the RNC, and just in general how he seems to be more of a deity to them than a political figure makes me feel that he can just say whatever the fuck he wants on his campaign.

While most western couples can only afford to have 1 or 2 children.

Its not long term sustainable.

At some point things will get ugly.

Due to lack of resources, job opportunities, living space and food for everyone.

Having more children than people know what to do with is the real issue.

Immigration isn't a bad thing, the actual problem is that conservatives are racist. Melania illegally immigrated to this country, but Trump cult doesn't care because she's white and the wife of a bigot. If white people immigrated illegally, very few of them would have an issue with it, but when nonwhite people immigrate, legally or "illegally," they have severe issues.

I mean, perfect example of their racism is how they call most employees in positions like pilot or judge DEI hires if they're not white males. Harris is easily far more qualified than Trump to lead the country, but she's somehow a DEI hire because she's not white and because she's a woman.

In regards to Muslims immigrating... they're seen as violent terrorists, ironically, and they're not Christian.

Well, yeah. That's fair. Can't expect them to be logical, but it's still good for me to write up everything illogical about what their doing.

Immigration isn't a very bad thing. America is built on the backs of immigrants. Conservatives don't like immigration because they can't maintain their cultural hold on things if they become more and more of a minority. For example, the supposed "War on Christmas". They're offended by the idea that you would say "Happy Holidays" to them instead of Merry Christmas, because by saying Happy Holidays you're being inclusive, and placing every other demographic's holiday on equal footing with theirs. And they don't believe these other holidays are equal to the birth of their lord and savior Jesus Christ.

White Flight becomes increasingly difficult too, because there are less and less places to flee to to avoid other races. If you want to preserve your family genetics and culture, the odds of your daughter growing up to marry a person of color grows more and more as immigrants come to America.

And I'm not being unreasonable: I understand that there are growing pains or "culture shock" when two radically different cultures are in close proximity. But that's not good enough reason to ostracize one or the other. As an Atheist I don't want Islam becoming more prevalent in America either, but I'd never stop Muslims from coming to the country.

Immigrants have a choice.

They can stay in their country built on muslim values, ideology & lifestyle.

Or immigrate to places founded by christians.

Why not stay in the muslim country and enjoy the muslim life?

It depends whether or not their country has been destroyed and/or is in constant wars because of you know who or not.
I don't think there is a high immigration rate from stable mustlim countries with high GDP and a good part of those who immigrate legally just want a more powerful passport after few years and then return to their homeland not that I advocate for that.
