Yeah. Not as popular in recent generations though. Not really sure why, I guess it's the newer genres that increased in popularity.

That and I guess recent generations look for different things in games, like video quality, mutiplayer, and etc. Shame, as older games have amazing quality.

But I'm also talking about big consoles. Don't recall any new Crash Bandicoot for PS3. Mario is still alive though.

I think Crash Bandicoot is slated for PS3. A new Rayman game came out recently too. Sly Cooper, not sure of.

Disagree....but I guess since they're essentially the same game it doesn't matter.

I never played Rygar a ton, but it was good.

Really? That's only one I've heard of, though it doesn't really mean much.

Rayman and Sly Cooper should ahve more than one game out for PS3 though.

I guess my point is that the limitations of 2D play made a ton of them platform games in effect. There were a ton of variations though, like an exploration type like Metroid, a shooter like Contra or Mega Man, a Beat 'em Up like Ninja Gaiden, etc.

Contra was awesome too. Rygar was always fun difficult and entertaining every time, something I don't find in latest games too much.

I know, I was thinking the same thing! I was holy shit, if that's a game I have to play it. How much money am I going to have to feed into this to make it happen?!

Although I heard that many of the Wii U games might be compatible with the newer Wii consoles, so I might not even have to buy the new system. I really love the Wii. And the Wii U controllers have some sort of touch screen and I really don't like touch screens.

But holy crap that would be an amazing Zelda game.

Oh Googz. I knew this would happen, so that's why I waited until after my exams to really get into it. Please tell me you still made it out alright on your grades. XD
And I'm almost finished with it now, I've already forged the Master Sword and now I need to complete the song of the hero and find the Triforce. Not exactly sure what comes after that, but I can't wait to see.

And YES! I loooove love love this Zelda. She's my BFF and she's flirty and she's really super sweet. I eve forgive her for pushing me off the tops of high cliffs to my doom twice in a row.

But we can't forget about Sheik because she was pretty bad ass.

Yeah, Twilight Princess was pretty difficult. I only ever got through the first dungeon/temple, so that's not much to say. The game is fun, but the Wii Motion Plus is what really sets SS apart. I hated that one battle I hate to fight while riding Epona! It was hard as hell dude. @_@ And I'm pretty sure the game only gets harder.

The only games for the Wii are Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. On the older Wii, you can also play the Zeldas for Gamecube (Twilight Princess, and then they released Oot and MM for the Gamecube as well). But you've already played those. The rest of the Zelda games are for DS and those handheld type Nintendo thingies. Or at least I think so. That's just off the top of my head, so I might've missed something.

That's a lot of money to put into something though, so you better really love Zelda. XD

Dunno, doesn't look genuine.

Too bad JK Rowling didn't go more into depth about the town. It had history, and if I recall, one of the oldest wizarding towns. Also had some of the most famous wizards. When I saw it in the movie, thought it looked cool. The sense of history makes it so alluring and hungerin to know more.

Well there are other games, but with recent Nintendo systems, you buy them for the Nintendo exclusive games - Zelda, Mario, Super Smash, etc... I know Twilight Princess is on GC too, but my GC's laser is pretty much shot. Every time I want to play it I have to take it apart and strengthen the laser, only for it to weaken after a day or two. I even had to buy a special screwdriver bit to open the thing up. I think the Wii control isn't essential to play Twilight Princess? At least not like Skyward Sword. I wouldn't mind owning the remade versions of OOT and MM though.

I haven't had a handheld since Gameboy Color ...I was never much of a handheld gamer to be honest.

Have you ever played Ico or Shadow of the Colossus on the PS2? Very Zelda like, all-time classic games IMO.
