Ladies and Gentleman, dear Otakus,
welcome to MangaHelpers' new season of the Anime League!

About

• This league has one purpose and one alone. To crown the best Anime of the season.

Rules

• Every user gets to nominate his top 3 episodes of the week in THIS thread.
• Nominating day is on Sunday. It is possible to nominate BEFORE that day, but NOT after the following Monday.
• A week goes from Sunday to Saturday. The Nomination day for that whole week is the day AFTER that Saturday. For example: This week goes from Jul 01st to Jul 06th, 23:59 CET. Voting days for this week would be the 7th and the 8th 23:59 CET.
• The nominations get counted. The Anime with the most votes in total wins the league.
• There won't be a restriction for Anime which have no threads here
• Only TV shows count (no OVA, no movies, no ONA, no TV specials)
• The nominations for all shows will count as if they all had the same amount of episodes during this season. Shows with just 10, 11 or 12 episodes will get additional points based on the average they got so far to make it fair.
• A show which is longer than one cour is eligible for the season until it gets a new opening song or until halftime. Whichever comes first.

Results

• We will post an updated table each week to keep you updated about which Anime is leading so far.
• Every user who voted for the winning Anime has the chance to win a badge at the end of the year. So keep on nominating!

For me, to start with, it's going to be...

Danmachi 2 As the #1 Danmachi fan on this forum (self proclaimed) I'm so hyped. These are my favorite LNs too.

Arifureta Like the source materiel and have high hopes for this adaptation. PVs look good.

Lord El-Melloi It's Fate related so naturally I'll be watching it.

Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki Desu ka? Isekai with a guy and his... mom. It's so weird and potentially terrible. I cannot wait!

Maou-sama, Retry! The manga is fun. In the PV the animation looked a bit questionable but I'll hope for the best.

Toaru Kagaku no Accelerator Please be better than Index 3 that's all I ask. It's really not a high bar. It's a different director so lets hope that makes the difference.

Lot's of action/adventure/comedy stuff this season that's right up my alley.

Sky with the usual big list, wonder which ones will stay until the end

My list has:

Danmachi S2 (hopefully this will be as good as Season 1)

Dr. Stone (gonna give this one a chance, and TMS often does a pretty good job)

Fire Force (the PV looked lit, pun intended)

Kanata no Astra (Sket Dance was great, so I hope this one can deliver as well)

Dumbbell (it's a maybe, for reasons : D)

Araburu Kisetsu (heard a lot of praise for the manga, and I know+like the writer too)
Lord El-Melloi (this one is a given)

Vinland Saga (another given, I really really hope the anime can do the manga justice)

Accelerator (the manga is pretty meh, but that's mostly bc of the subpar art and the pacing issues. I think and hope the anime can solve both, and the PV certainly looked more promising than Index S3)

BEM (another mb, but it does look somewhat interesting)


And maybe that weird isekai with the mother, I'm not sure yet...

Sort of a difficult week 1 but my first votes are going to.

Maou-Sama Retry! Overlord, fluffy edition.
Kanata no Astra Nice assortment of characters. Fix the questionable science and we've got a winner.
Kimetsu no Yaiba Nezuko was in this episode. Enough said.

According to livechart it is a Sunday show and that is what we're rolling with.

If you give permission can we nominate it one episode per week instead of 3 in one week?It will be more fair to this series as most people won't choose 3 episodes in a single week.
