Damn, i feel someone else should have won this, not me. I am not that good at making up stories and i cant really draw.

@MarmaladeSky For the SS contest, can the text be something that has never been written , but describe something that happened ?
Example: ....The red dragon with flames and the fairy friends endured any hardships.... ( Fairy Tail)

Thats why i thought i shouldnt have won, cuz its not a drawing (at least not mine), but a digital art which was just edited by me
The other participants put a lot more effort into it than i did.

If you didnt than im certain my win was a European "Article 13"-like F-up by a good number of people.

Well, transforming something like you would do for a set or a banner was also a part of the contest; and you have merit in selecting a good piece that was fitting for your concept and adjusting it to complement your text. Don't sell yourself short, you deserved it! And your edition was very pretty as well.

Yes, feel free to do so. Even if you get inspired by that, you are the one writing the piece. Do make sure you give credit though :-)

We have decided to delay the deadline of the based on a quote short story contest. This means the contest will close on 29th of May, instead.

Effectively, it has 4343 characters instead of 3000

Perhaps it's overused, but there is something poetic about the fields of grain.
(Though when I first saw it, for a moment it was a field of canola, which grow around these parts, and did a double take...)
