Show me, where, in the Manga, the other dragons were stroke by a power strong enough to destroy a meteor.
In GmG, no DS had this strength and Icount on the 7.
Because, yes, Wendy infused the seal as DS Magic, but it's Erza's strength who made this critical slash, not Wendy's power level.
Erza's strength was tremendeous this moment, strong enough to break through a meteore with a body into pieces.
Unless you think this Erza was weaker than Laxus's GmG or Natsu's, which is irrelevant for me.
Nothing was stated that she was fighting seriously until second half of the fight, she was just upset that she was stuck with a dragon body and Wendy isn’t, the fact that she could affect Wendy with her enchantments and Wendy can’t resist at that state proves as much. Irene’s body was empty of a persona to resist so of course Wendy could possess it, when Irene possessed Wendy’s body and Wendy as Irene tried to remove her, she resisted by utilizing her potential magic power, but Wendy as Irene stated that is because of MP difference. That was the second half of the fight when she was absolutely done with it, she did not expect her to get another power up to the one she already had to cut the meteor. Yes it does as as Wendy stated when she removed Irene About magic power level, nothing about skill. No, the separation was being resisted, not instantaneous as Irene as Wendy still exist in her body until the extract was completed, we saw her persona elevate from her body, which gave Irene enough time to try and get Wendy to stop the enchantment but Wendy did not stop and got Irene out of her body. Not really Irene’s fault that someone used her own magic against her. So you are saying that a massively weakened Wendy is stronger than a fresh Mira when they are alone back in GMG arc? That is not how that works, Erza had Irene’s power up adding to her PoF too including DSM. Incorrect as skill is not power base, but what you can affect type, you need MP to determine power level difference.
Irene's mistake was underestimating her opponents and not expecting Wendy to counter her enchantments. Irene was fighting seriously, but she was just outclassed by Wendy who kept negating her enchantments.
And possessing Wendy's body isn't even that difficult. Wendy was also able to take control of Irene's body, so there's nothing impressive about Irene stealing Wendy's body.
Irene clearly wanted to win, which is why she transformed into her dragon form and casted Deus Sema. She just did not expect Erza to destroy the meteor and be easily reverted by Erza's sword + Wendy's infused-DS magic.
And by the way, having more MP doesn't mean your enchantments are irreversible. Someone with enough skill can still counter your enchantments, which is what Wendy did to Irene.
And actually, Irene self-inflicting damage on Wendy's body had nothing to do with her switching back to her original body. Wendy already successfully performed the detachment enchantment, so Irene had no choice but to return back to her original body. Irene was just desperate to win, which is why she self-inflicted damage before leaving Wendy's body.
Erza having Irene's enchantment empowering her is because Irene made a mistake... It also shows that Wendy was strong enough to replicate most of Irene's enchantments.
Wendy's DS magic was enough to revert Dragon Irene back to her human form. That just proves that Irene is a weak dragon compared to other dragons in the manga.
And I disagree. Irene couldn't stop Wendy from countering her enchantments even if she wanted to. Enchantments are primarily based on skill, so putting more MP into your enchantments doesn't make it irreversible.

Irene underestimated her opponents. August did not.
Lol, I don't care if Mashima agrees with me. I'm not his puppet.
It was never stated in the manga that Irene's magic is superior to August's magic; therefore, I refuse to believe that claim.
Actually, it does have something to do with Wendy.
Irene and Wendy are both dragon slayers, but only Irene has the ability to transform into a full-fledged dragon at will. So Irene does have a major advantage.
Sorry, but if you don't understand what I wrote, then I can't really help ya there.
I said Irene is a weak dragon. Note the second word. This was made plainly obvious when Dragon Irene was easily reverted by Erza's sword + Wendy's infused-DS magic.
In contrast, other dragons in the manga have been hit by stronger DS magic, yet they did not revert back to their human form like Irene did.
And no, I am not implying that Wendy can oneshot or threeshot Irene's dragon form... I said that Wendy can revert Dragon Irene back to her human form since she has DS magic.
It's straight from the manga. Dragon Irene was reverted by a single slash from Erza's sword with Wendy's infused-DS magic.
Sure, but Irene being cubed to blocks would mean that she is beaten/defeated. And even if she turns him into a snail, he'd still turn back to his original form after cubing her.
Lol, I didn't imply anything. But if you want to make the claim that August and Human Irene have the same speed, then the burden of proof is still on you.
If you say that Jellal and Gildartz are "magicless" against August, theneveryone is magicless against August, including Irene.
The only exception to this would be Holder-Type Wizards.
And no, the "gildarts + cana + jellal + jura + hybrion (with no ability to harm dragons) are well below dragon irene" statement does not apply here because this thread is "August vs. Irene", which means that Irene starts in her human form.
So August >>> Irene.
You have no proof either. And just because he didn't use their magic doesn't mean that he can't.
He was able to freely control Gildartz's cubing technique after it had been casted on him and was even able to use it to counterattack Gildartz. Not to mention, August has used other spells before without copying anybody's magic, such as the large fire pillar spell, Ars Magia, and the sleeping spell.
And since Irene was never shown to turn Wendy or Erza into a rat, then I guess the spell wouldn't work against August either?
What does dragon immunity have anything to do with the beam working?
August will instantly put Irene to sleep since she starts in her human form and just use the beam to pierce her body.
And if he doesn't use the beam, he can just stab her with his staff or kill her in many other different ways since she's asleep.
Show me, where, in the Manga, the other dragons were stroke by a power strong enough to destroy a meteor.

Unless you think this Erza was weaker than Laxus's GmG or Natsu's, which is irrelevant for me.
Here's your proof. Acnologia, like Irene, was originally a human who eventually underwent dragonization. As you can see from the panels above, he was struck by Igneel's dragon roar at near point-blank range and could still maintain his dragon form.
Erza's sword + Wendy's infused-DS magic is nothing compared to Igneel's dragon roar, so "having the power to destroy a meteor" is quite meaningless here.
And I think you are confused. The GMG dragons are true dragons. They started out as dragons and do not have a human form. So they can't be reverted regardless of how much DS magic is used against them. The only way to beat them would be to defeat them in their dragon form.
Sorry, but until someone can post actual manga panels and evidence supporting their own claims, I refuse to change my stance on this matter.

Nothing was stated that Irene was holding back either.
And of course Irene's body would be empty of a persona once she possesses Wendy's body... What else does she expect??
If Irene was so concerned about Wendy stealing her body, she should've destroyed her original body after taking over Wendy's body. But instead, Irene blundered and underestimated Wendy, who was able to enchant herself into Irene's body. That's nobody's fault but Irene's.
As for the second half of the fight, Irene used her strongest spell (Deus Sema) and still failed. There's no excuse for that poor performance.
And like I said before, MP amplifies your attacks, but it takes skill to learn and cast enchantments.
Also, I never said that resisting an enchantment is impossible... I said that it was irreversible. There is a major difference between the two. You can delay the enchantment to a certain extent, but it was only a matter of time before Wendy was able to get her original body back. Irene had no choice but to return to her original body.
And lol, why wouldn't it be Irene's fault that someone used her own magic against her? Ireneknew full wellthat Wendy was an enchanter since the beginning of the fight. She would be absurdly naive to think that her magic could not be countered by another enchanter.
Where did I say that a "massively weakened Wendy is stronger than a fresh Mira"?? I don't know where you got that statement from.
And actually, no, Erza never had Irene's DS magic as part of her power-up. That's why she needed Wendy's DS magic to be infused into her sword in order to revert Irene's dragon form. Ifshe had Irene's DS magic, then what would be the point of Wendy enchanting her DS magic onto Erza's sword??
Not really, bothskill and power matters. Not everything is about power. MP determines power level, but skill allows you to counter your opponent's abilities.
Here's your proof. Acnologia, like Irene, was originally a human who eventually underwent dragonization. As you can see from the panels above, he was struck by Igneel's dragon roar at near point-blank range and could still maintain his dragon form.

Not really, bothskill and power matters. Not everything is about power. MP determines power level, but skill allows you to counter your opponent's abilities.
Actually, since she used her dragon form would show she was getting serious, and that she did not use a spell of similar power to Universe One that allowed her to best Acno circumstantially would indicate she was not serious in the first half. Of course, but it is not about concern, it is about the fact that when you possess someone the host persona is destroyed, so that was the expected result, not her fault that Wendy was able to somehow resist existence erasure of the mind. Again, skill with enchantments is different in stats which define a character’s strength and other areas which includes skills as well. Erza had PoF, Irene’s enchantment which is more than Erza’s standard PoF alone since it came from a power like Irene. Nothing stated that it was irreversible either since Irene as Wendy said “you think you can drive me out?” Which is a level of power that is being applied to the separation enchantment, as Wendy as Irene said her power is currently greater than hers, nothing about it is inevitable. And that would mean anything because? When she possessed Wendy it is expected that her persona would die right there, plus they can sense personas too so that is an indication, enchantments can only be countered by someone of equal or greater powers, that is how it works. You claim that Irene’s dragon form is weaker than other dragons in the series when that is not the case as circumstances matter, Wendy could not revert dragons back to human form in GMG arc and she did more damage to them than Mira did and Wendy was weakened at the time and Mira was fresh. When did I say Irene’s DS magic? I said Irene’s power, which she did, when Wendy as Irene used Irene’s enchantment to protect her from Irene and Wendy’s explosive enchantment, she had the empowerment enchantment the rest of the battle. Skill is just giving you more versitile powers or abilities, power is the amount and strength you have, two different things, you can have the strongest spell but if you are incapable of using it, you are weaker (Bluenote to Cana), Irene has skill and power in abondance.
i divide this fight in three phases
first phase
irene underestimated them here
irene wanted to talk to erza
this phases ended with irene taking over wendy.
conclusion: irene was right in underestimating them. they were just inconvenience for her.
second phase.
wendy belserion vs erza.
this phase ended with irene/wendy easily taking out wendy belserion
conclusion: irrelevant in this context
third phase
irene lost her cool and is fighting wildly. she is technically overpowering erza but erza speed and strength are holding up
this phase ended with irene transforming into a dragon
conclusion: bad guys dont power up when extremely angry (reference ff arc, laxus vs natsu)
forth phase
irene casually one shots erza. and uses her high tier move to endangered all of fairy tail
mishma himself interfered here. PLOT PLOT PLOT
erza arm was strong enough to push her higher than even df natsu. she somehow empowered her self with power of dead or pof or sword of emotion and over powered that move
when she was about to hit irene, wendy did something Igeel, aconolgia senior, grandenee has never thought of. she enchanted ds magic in erza sword. thus removing irene immunity. this caused irene to be hit by a move that over powered irene/august top tier move. which obviously will cause huge amount of damage.
this phase ended with irene reverting to her human form
conclusion: non of this can be used for any sort of ranking or predictions. because huge amount of nakama nonsense and plot was involved.
fifth phase and last part
last part. barely anything of worth happened here
conclusion: just nonsense here
Actually, it does have something to do with Wendy.
Irene and Wendy are both dragon slayers, but only Irene has the ability to transform into a full-fledged dragon at will. So Irene does have a major advantage.

erm and rot aconolgia died from a single punch from natsu. by your definintion aconolgia is a weak dragon too.
after all. erza sword even without ds can blast rot aconlogia across the sky.
Sure, but Irene being cubed to blocks would mean that she is beaten/defeated. And even if she turns him into a snail, he'd still turn back to his original form after cubing her.

are we talking about human irene
then sure
August > human irene
it will be difficult battle for august, but he might win
though most likely what will happen
august copies irene and use enchantment against her. irene eats that enchantment and smashed august into the ground (august just empowered her). and irene starts creating weapons to fight against august while also starting process of separating him from his magic (irene was enchanting entire army, holding back aconolgia and fight erza and wendy at the same time). separating august from his magic will taking some time just like nebel, but she most likely will have time
so human irene might still beat august, though she has to be super smart. august luckily has no moves to put human irene down. moves as strong as reiko red lightning can easily be countered by irene and if wendy can block dimeria moves with enchantment than nothing august uses will pass through irene stronger shield
Not to mention, August has used other spells before without copying anybody's magic, such as the large fire pillar spell, Ars Magia, and the sleeping spell.
yes he has few that is all, we know he doesnt have cobra hearing or midnight refractor. or he is super stupid who underestimated his opponents alot more than irene did.
that is exactly what alot people have used before and what i mean now. that is why we arent talking about how irene can low diff aconlogia by ripping his magic out. because it is beyond what she has shown.
just like what we have been shown about august magic capability. he is not master of all magic, he is just cheap copy cat, who can only copy what is infront of him.
irene cant/might not be able to turn august into a rat, and in the same way august cant/might not be able to nulify irene magic or maybe even copy it (because of power level not because of dragon slayer requires something of dragon). All this depends on which theory you believe applies to hax. i personally think hax works only when plots demands it.

Irene using Universe One wouldn't help her at all in her fight against Wendy/Erza... it's a displacement spell, not an attack spell. And I wouldn't say that she "bested" Acnologia... If anything, Acnologia spared her and she simply stalled the battle.
And actually, Irene should've expected Wendy to be capable of resisting the body possession enchantment since Wendy is an enchanter herself. That was purely Irene's mistake and the fault of her arrogance.
Skill clearly matters in terms of enchantments because it is what allows the user to counter their opponent's attacks. If Wendy's attack was reversible, then Irene should've been able to stop it or counter it. It doesn't matter what Irene says. The fact is, she was forcibly driven out of Wendy's body. Power does play a role in the enchantment being successful, but again, that was Irene's fault for switching bodies in the first place.
Also, I disagree with the statement that "possessing somebody's body = original persona dying". Wendy is an enchanter herself, so there is no reason why Irene should've expected Wendy to die immediately.
And if you say that "enchantments can only be countered by someone of equal or greater power", then that would make Wendy's MP = Irene's MP because Wendy countered/cancelled Irene's enchantments numerous times throughout their battle.
The reason why Wendy could not revert the GMG dragons is because they are true dragons. In other words, they were born with a dragon's body. That is their default state. They don't even have a human form to begin with, so there's nothing to revert. Like I said in my previous response to Ronin31, you can't revert a dragon that is originally a dragon. It has nothing to do with the damage that Wendy and Mira dealt.
I think you are mistakened... The explosive enchantment was Irene's and the protection enchantment was Wendy's. I don't see anything that suggests that Erza had the empowerment enchantment for the rest of the battle...
And yes, I agree that skill gives you more versatility and abilities whereas power influences your strength and damage. In Wendy's and Irene's case, Wendy had enough skill & power to counter Irene's enchantments multiple times.

sure but there are spells stronger than that, and since potential Wendy’s spell would be enough to fatally harm Erza that it required Irene’s enchantment to empower Erza, the duo wouldn’t scale fo U1 anyway, nothing really indicates Acno spared her as he seemed to wanted to kill her as he said that he was impressed. Wendy Didn’t resist though or rather couldn’ as it was effortless, it was not the other way around when Wendy as Irene was removing Irene’s persona from Wendy’s body who could resist when she was in her potential. sure but it doesn’t matter if one’s power level is greater than the others, and that appliea to other enemies too, not reversable, but overcame, Irene was in Wendy’s body as her MP at the time was weaker than when she was in her original body’s, skill had little factor at the time, not her fault for achieving her life long desire for a body without being a dragon, that was a success, though the result did not pan out for Wendy’s persona being destroyed but rather somehow got to
irene’s body, and since if took longer than expected that showed the gap in power as well. You don’t think that the person who mastered the spell for it’s uses would not understand the outcomes as part of the spell? Being an Enchanter =/= surviving a spell like that unless you somehow find a body yourself, but due to the power of plot she simply tried the spell herself, and the fact that it took that long means she has not done it before. No, that would mean Irene was not serious prior to that as Irene could take over Wendy’s body effortlessly. No, Selene was a true dragon and she reverted back to bring a human. It does as Wendy’s attacks are anathema to Dragons but is weaker than Mirajane. No as stated spells don’t change with the characters possession via personalities, plus the anime shows it different in color too. Disagree as Irene’s power when getting serious overwhelmed Wendy’s power on multiple occasions, especially when Wendy had her potential and even that resistance did not last.

Of course there are spells stronger than Universe One. Irene already casted Deus Sema, which was one of her strongest spells, and Erza was still able to break it to pieces.
And lol, Acnologia definitely spared her. He never tried attacking her once and was only shown talking to her. If he wanted to kill her, she would've ended up like God Serena. Being "impressed" is not the equiavlent of wanting to kill somebody...
Wendy didn't need to resist. She could just possess Irene's body. Irene tried resisting, but ended up failing and returned back to her original body. Therefore, the spell was not reversible. And sure, Irene's MP was lower because she was in Wendy's body, but skill was definitely a factor in helping Wendy return to her original body.
Like I said before, it was Irene's fault for not destroying her original body after taking possession of Wendy's body. There's nothing stopping her from "achieving her life-long desire of having a dragon-less body". All she needs to do is destroy her own body, that way, Wendy cannot steal it.
And no, Wendy didn't "somehow" get into Irene's body. Wendy is an enchanter herself, so it is expected that her persona would be able to steal Irene's body. And sure, Wendy taking longer to possess Irene's body might show the difference in their power, but the fact is that Wendy still had the skill to perform the spell.
Just because Irene used the spell, it doesn't meant that she understands it. Those are two very different things. Not to mention, Irene was overconfident and cocky. It's not hard to admit that she simply made a mistake due to her arrogance.
And actually, being an Enchanter does allow you survive the possession spell. Your persona won't be destroyed and you can easily hijack your opponent's body, which is what Wendy did when she took over Irene's body.
Plot doesn't have anything to do with it. That's just an excuse. Wendy is an enchanter, so she is capable of performing the same spell as Irene. There's no asspull involved here. And just because Wendy hadn't performed the spell before, it doesn't mean that she is incapable of learning it... it's called adaptability for a reason.
Irene was serious prior to the body possession technique. She could possess Wendy's body from the very beginning, and the battle would still end the same way.
Incorrect, Selene never reverted back to a human being. She has the ability to change forms at will, but that does not mean that she was forcibly reverted. When she fought Ignia, she was defeated as a dragon, but could still maintain her dragon form. Here's the proof:
The definition of "reverted" is going back to your original form. So if a person's original form is a dragon, then how can they be reverted back to a human being??
And no, it was never stated in the manga that you cannot retain your own abilities once switching bodies. Just because Irene acquired Sky Dragon Slaying Magic, it doesn't mean that she lost her own enchantment capabilities. Enchantment is something that you can learn and adapt during battle.
Besides, Wendy was never shown to explode armor or cast large blasts, so the spell was clearly Irene's and not Wendy's.
Sure, Irene might've overwhelmed Wendy when she got serious... but Wendy + Erza outclassed her mutliple times.
She could possess Wendy's body from the very beginning, and the battle would still end the same way.

and she had other power ups at the time. Um, he definitely tried to attack her and had joy doing so, if Jellal could react to him wanting to kill someone in both forms who he was stomped by August, then Irene would be able to react to that as well and then some, Impressed is the same thing as saying they are strong, just like how he found it impressive that Natsu survived his battle with Zeref, who he complimented Irene based on her training with. She would if she wanted to survive, since it took no time to possess Wendy then her power is weaker than Irene's, and when Wendy as Irene was trying to take back her body from Irene who unlocked Wendy's potential in her body it took longer, it is simply a difference in power, Wendy didn't try that spell until after she lost it which is how she survived and not get erased, she clearly wanted her body back so she would tried to resist, it was because of power difference, skill is meaningless if you do not have the magic power to back it up, even the greatest spell is worthless in a weakling's hand like Cana with Fairy Heart at the time, Why would she destroy her original body when it is the one that was keeping Acno away? Plus it is a spell that causes the target's persona to be erased, plus Wendy never tried it before as she stated so it is by per luck and no reason to expect, she stated herself that she somehow used the possession enchant as an idea, it is like Yukino trying out Spirit Dress despite never having trained for it before. being an enchanter does not make you at the level of other enchanters, even Wendy was not a high enchanter until 100 year quest, Sure that is why she was testing up Wendy's potential with the body's explosion enchantment, but considering that Wendy as Irene was needed to save Erza is a factor too. She had 400 years of experience to test the limits of her powers, she knows how it works. Yes it does, Wendy simply used by chance the possession enchantment before her persona was gone as Irene possessed her body. again, being an enchanter means nothing if you don't have the skill level nor the MP to make a difference, she never became a high enchanter until the sequel, she just used it by chance, no different from Yukino using Star Dress by chance without prior training, the fact that it took a long time to work for Wendy shows she is not at the same level. She was not, being angry alone is not a factor to being serious, she was more serious in human form against Acno and still won by conditions. If she could change her form at will then she would have gone dragon and crushed Dog Dude with one paw, it is stated that dragon forms outclass human forms, and Dog dude is not only weaker than the other DGs but is weakened after waking up, it makes no sense otherwise, she clearly cannot sustain her dragon form when injured with a dragon's curse wound. Blame Mashima, because that is what happened with Merc dude as well, and don't say that he lost his magic power, because dying is the same thing as losing magic power. Yes it was as Irene as Wendy stated when she switched bodies that her magic abilities have been reduced, not magic power, it does as her magic resided in her original body, not Wendy's as that is the point of the enchantment to be ride of her old life, yet Wendy never learned separation enchantment despite using it before as Irene and required Irene to train her, rather inconsistant. That is her potential which Irene utilized as she stated, Irene was not serious until the final half of the battle when Erza had Irene's power up and PoF and Wendy used DS enchantment, and in the end Irene still won, even when not serious, Irene could blitz Erza before she could even react.
i divide this fight in three phases
first phase
irene underestimated them here
irene wanted to talk to erza
this phases ended with irene taking over wendy.
conclusion: irene was right in underestimating them. they were just inconvenience for her.
second phase.
wendy belserion vs erza.
this phase ended with irene/wendy easily taking out wendy belserion
conclusion: irrelevant in this context
third phase
irene lost her cool and is fighting wildly. she is technically overpowering erza but erza speed and strength are holding up
this phase ended with irene transforming into a dragon
conclusion: bad guys dont power up when extremely angry (reference ff arc, laxus vs natsu)
forth phase
irene casually one shots erza. and uses her high tier move to endangered all of fairy tail
mishma himself interfered here. PLOT PLOT PLOT
erza arm was strong enough to push her higher than even df natsu. she somehow empowered her self with power of dead or pof or sword of emotion and over powered that move
when she was about to hit irene, wendy did something Igeel, aconolgia senior, grandenee has never thought of. she enchanted ds magic in erza sword. thus removing irene immunity. this caused irene to be hit by a move that over powered irene/august top tier move. which obviously will cause huge amount of damage.
this phase ended with irene reverting to her human form
conclusion: non of this can be used for any sort of ranking or predictions. because huge amount of nakama nonsense and plot was involved.
fifth phase and last part
last part. barely anything of worth happened here
conclusion: just nonsense here
I disagree, Irene should've never underestimated Wendy and Erza to begin with. If she was truly competent, she should've just beat Wendy + Erza with ease. The fact is, she blundered multiple times and didn't finish Erza off when she had the chance (should've attacked Erza from behind when she was propelling herself towards Deus Sema instead of just watching her in shock).
erm and rot aconolgia died from a single punch from natsu. by your definintion aconolgia is a weak dragon too.
after all. erza sword even without ds can blast rot aconlogia across the sky.
Gildartz was able to successfully turn August into cubes, it's just that August was able to reform himself by cancelling the effects of the magic spell.
I don't see anywhere in my claim that states "August is faster than Irene" (though, I personally believe that statement to be true). Anyways, even if we assume that August and Irene have the exact same speed, Gildartz is still faster than both.
If you look at the way that the panels are drawn and the sound effects that Mashima put into the pages, it is obvious that August and Gildartz are moving at exceptionally high speeds. Keep in mind that they are fighting at point-blank range. And Gildartz was still able to outspeed August at the very end.
Again, the burden of proof is on you if you want to compare August and Irene's speed.
are we talking about human irene
We are talking about the topic of this thread, which is August vs. Irene. And of course Irene will start out in human form since the thread doesn't say "August vs. Dragon Irene".
And nope, your scenario is definitely not how the fight will happen. August won't even bother to use enchantments against her.
He'll just nullify her magic, put her to sleep, and pierce her body with a beam. That's the end of the story.
yes he has few that is all, we know he doesnt have cobra hearing or midnight refractor. or he is super stupid who underestimated his opponents alot more than irene did.
Nope, the manga never stated that August no longer has Cobra's hearing magic or Midnight's refractor magic. Again, just because he chose not to use it, it doesn't mean that he can't. Also, I don't see how that would be considered "underestimating"...
that is exactly what alot people have used before and what i mean now. that is why we arent talking about how irene can low diff aconlogia by ripping his magic out. because it is beyond what she has shown.
just like what we have been shown about august magic capability. he is not master of all magic, he is just cheap copy cat, who can only copy what is infront of him.
irene cant/might not be able to turn august into a rat, and in the same way august cant/might not be able to nulify irene magic or maybe even copy it (because of power level not because of dragon slayer requires something of dragon). All this depends on which theory you believe applies to hax. i personally think hax works only when plots demands it.
Sure, you have a fair point. And for the record, I'm not accusing you of being wrong.
Like I said from the very beginning, this is a fantasy battle for a reason (August never fought Irene in the manga); therefore, there is no clear winner of this fight. I'm simply giving my own opinions on this thread, just like everybody else is.
I'm not a fan of the way that the manga was written either. I just happen to believe that August is the superior fighter. And by that same token, you are also free to believe that Irene is the superior mage.
Technically, Acnologia is "immune to magic" because he can eat any form of magic. But in the panels that I posted, Acnologia tanked Igneel's fire roar without actually eating the flames.
and she had other power ups at the time. Lol, Acnologia only "stomped on Irene's body" after she was already defeated. He did not have any intentions of killing her in their initial encounter.
And "impressed" is not always the same thing as "being strong". If he had low expectations, Irene could impress him just by being decent.
Again, Wendy wouldn't have died because she could just possess Irene's body. And Wendy did not try to resist because she knew that the body possession technique was irreversible. And like I said before, Irene may have more MP, but Wendy could still perform the same spell because enchantments are primarily based on skill.
And actually, destroying her own body wouldn't have cancelled the effects of Universe One. The effects of U1 were dependent on Irene's persona, which was still alive in Wendy's body. Once she possessed Wendy's body, her old body was basically a useless "piece of meat" according to Irene herself.
And yes, neither Wendy nor Irene ever tried the body possession enchantment before. But Irene shouldn't have assumed that Wendy would automatically die given that Wendy is an enchanter herself - which means that it is quite possible for her to possess Irene's original body.
And sure, there are different levels of enchantments, but Irene's mistake was assuming that Wendy was not experienced/skilled enough to learn new enchantments during their fight. Just because Irene has 400 years of experience, it doesn't mean that she knows everything about her enchantments, especially if she hadn't used it before.
Also, the fact that Wendy was able to replicate Irene's enchantments means that she does have the skill. Enchantments are mostly skill-based, which is why Wendy was able to learn them on the spot.
Irene was definitely serious while fighting Wendy and Erza. As for Acnologia, Irene only displaced him, she never beat him, which is what I consider winning.
As for Selene, she is able to change her form at will. The reason why she didn't transform into a dragon and fight Dogramag was because she was injured from her fight with Ignia.
But as you saw in my previous post, she could still maintain her dragon form with those wounds. She just couldn't fight with those injuries.
Irene most likely turned back into her human form to work with the FT members in destroying the Dogra Cores. Besides, staying in dragon form makes her a bigger target for Dogramag to attack her and she didn't want to fight him due to her injuries.
And again, that's false. Mercphobia did not revert to his human form after being defeated by Natsu:
Actually, both Irene and Wendy used the term "magic power":
Again, Irene wasn't restricted to only using Wendy's magic after switching bodies. She gained Wendy's Sky Dragon Slaying Magic, but could still use other enchantments that Wendy had not used before.
As far as I'm concerned, Irene was serious throughout her fight against Wendy and Erza. And Erza didn't exactly receive a power up from Irene. She was simply protected by the enchantment that Wendy casted on her.
Lol, Acnologia only "stomped on Irene's body" after she was already defeated. He did not have any intentions of killing her in their initial encounter.

Which only showed his cowardice at the time since he couldn’t kill her before. and yet she beat him under circumstance, considering he is immune to magic in the first place. Only by pure luck on a magic she did not master, she knew she was not strong enough to resist it in the first place, she was not a high enchanter at the time which showed her lack of timing of the spell she cast, so she only did it out of pure luck. No, the spell was dependent on her spirit as magic is formed from both nature and spirit as stated since chapter 2. Her persona is independent of that since even DS can’t see her and they can see DS souls based on Wraith or other souls naturally. Her body is just a piece of meat that has all of her powers. Irene had the enchantment mastered, and was going to use it but refused on Erza simply because of motherly urges, it can work on anyone basically, again there are levels and Wendy was not at that level. No mistake when Wendy is not skilled enough to master possession enchantment as proven by her delay of it and never using it again, like she could use it on DGs because you claim it is irreversable, she has been doing magic for all that time, she would know, especially if she refused to do it at times knowing the results, her lack of timing for possession enchantment would beg to differ, as she never used it again. She never got serio until she was absolutely done with their nonsense after the possession phase. Because Acno was immune to most magics. No, it doesn’t matter what her injury was because Dog Dude is canonically weaker than DGs and even in dragon form would be enough no matter what the injury is, it was just under her breast, nothing anyone can’t overcome In that world, barely as she never returned to that form afterward simply because she has no strength to maintain it With the injury, if she could move around in human form and use magic and have the strength to crush solid objects of power, then she would be more than able to transform and stomp on Dog Dude. Physical damage even affects one’s ability to use magic too such as Racer who wasn’t using his speed magic when charging at Gray and Lyon with the suicide vest but was physically weaker and both ice wizards too close to him and each othe to make a meaningful counter attack To his magic. No, Diabolos master was considered stronger than Suzaku who defeated her human form and was stomped effortlessly with one paw, and he was weaker than her already plus weakened from his awakening. No, he did, it doesn’t matter how long it takes when you lose magic or dead or dying you will revert back to human form, especially when both were at deaths door. incorrect as Irene as Wendy said Magic Abilities. She only used abilities that Wendy possessed as Wendy had other abilities with her potential. Incorrect as Irene was absolutely serious around the end of their fight as Irene was angry beyond reproach and Erza had a chance to fight with Irene’s enchantment For the rest of the time.
