Giannis AND Embiid together? Damn, that'd be powerful.
Did Bledsoe play last night? Because I don't know if shooters are the problem for Giannis or needing a good PG.
no shooters on the 76ers. Giannis need shooters at the perimeter so they can't build a wall against him.

Was thinking mostly of anyone but the Splash bros and the 20 picks they have amassed these years.

If your core is Curry-Klay-Giannis-Dray-FA big your bench could be filled with us and still win lol.
Kinda hard to shop for a good big these days. I’m interested in keeping Wiggins for a bit until the transfer window, at least. Warriors could try trading the #2 pick for future picks. Next draft should have great depth, even when they go to 15-ish range.

If they’re keeping the pick this year, my money would be on Okongwu. If they still have the finding-diamonds-under-a-pile-of-shit magic, that is.

Yeah, but have in mind the 76ers FO is incompetent enough to go for it. There are a couple of really good shooters like FVV in that draft class, fwiw.

Giannis would be a good fit on the Heat, with Duncan and Herro. but if he beat them, he'll never join us. only a bitch like KD could do that

Eh, Okongwu Isn't expected for top 3 at all. I would think they will go for Wiseman as a promising back up Big. They COULD trade with the Hawks, who are dying to get Edwards, but idk.

Haha, I mean if he wants to leave ao bad then the ball is on the Bucks' hands to see where they send him. If the Heat prepare the best package I don't see why not.

Tbf with Curry-Klay-Giannis all you need is a supportive anchor at the C like Noel and Dwight who will be free agents (if the Lakers don't win it this year I can see the latter chasing rings for cheap).

I have to ask, why wouldn’t you want your guy when you have the #2 pick, even if pundits only have him at #7-#10? It’s something I’ve been puzzled for a while.

Honestly, GS is probably the most attractive market for FAs right now. It’s no wonder other teams are straight up scared they’ll make another power move.

My prediction
EAST
Heat vs Bucks, Heat in 6
Raptors vs Celtics, Raptors in 5
Round 2 prediction

East

Heat vs Bucks, Heat in 6
Raptors vs Celtics, Raptors in 5

i'll be correct this time :nod crazy that no 1st round serie in the west is over yet

@MUIMadara
EAST
Buck in 6
Raps in 5
tuff.

Buck in 6
Raps in 5

@BD_Beno
EAST
Heat in 7
Rapters in 6
East Rd 2

Heat in 7
Rapters in 6

@goldb
EAST
Bucks in 5
Raptors in 5

That's a courageous prediction. I mean Bucks aren't invincible, especially if you can get a handle on Giannis( which Jimmy probably can), the others aren't that great. Heat have a better squad. Giannis might prove to be too much for them though. I think I'll take Bucks in 5

Similarly to the 2nd one, Raptors have a better squad, especially a better Center. That should be a fun series. I'll take that action, Raptors in 5.

Round 2 West prediction:

Clippers vs Denver: Clippers in 6
Lakers vs Rockets: Lakers in 5

lol ya'll picked the OKC in the first round

It's just a lesser valuable asset. Why pick him at 2 when the Hawks will trade their pick to you and give you more on top? Even more in this draft class that seems to be one of the weakest ever, and its talent dropping off hard after the 3rd pick.

Everyone wanted an upset. I would had gone for Houston but honestly I was surprised by how close it was.

indeed it was very close. Rockets just doing Rockets thing aka choking when it matter the most.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

GSW is no longer in the picture but i believe they gonna choke against the Lakers this year
--- Double Post Merged, ---

Nets hired Steve Nash as a head coach. i don't think he have any experience in coaching. could be interesting or a mess.

Hm, I have faith in Nash. Completely different personality compared to say, Kidd, with as much or more bball iq. Very educated dude too.

yeah but no coaching experience. should've started as an assistant. KD and Kyrie are the 2 superstars with the biggest ego in the league, not gonna be easy
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Actually KD is fine but Kyrie listen to no one. Brad stevens had trouble with him.
--- Double Post Merged, ---

I remember last year he kept iso-ing charging into the Bucks defense like a bull then forced to take bad shot. game after game after game til they lost 4 in a row.

Was thinking about it, Brooklyn does seem pretty random for his first experience. Nevertheless, a lot of times experience is a tad bit overrated, especially given his role when he was a player. We'll see.

Time to trade Kyrie for someone with brains :x

I don’t recall Steve Kerr having that much experience prior to taking over either, and look where he is now. 8 rings and counting.

you can't compare steph or klay to kyrie. Big part of coaching superstar is to deal with their egos. Also Kerr played under both Phil Jackson and Pop. the 2 greatest nba coach

Hoping he doesn't go to the warriors. They would have to give their soul to get him but would basically have a guaranteed chip (and if Giannis likes it there... Several more lol).
Oh jeez, can you imagine? that'd be crazy; defenders wouldn't know who to double, him or Steph and then Klay would just be cold on the outside. Man, that's a nightmare.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

I don't know how Nash ended up with the HC job seeing has he doesn't even have experience as an assistant ( I know he was a consultant or some shit with GSW but that's all I remember from seeing him do some drills with KD). KD and Kyrie would've likely had to okay any coaching change, especially if it's a former player with no experience, so let's see how he does. If anything Nash was a very smart player and respected, so he can deal with the egos in the locker room.

he won't, saw an episode of first take yesterday where they were talking about it. for once max didnt spout complete BS, Giannis winning with the dubs (an already established dynasty) won't get him any stripe. its gonna be like KD. people will just look down on him, he's too competitive for that

Did you watch the CP3 interview, he seems like he's uncertain about his future but it also looked like he was saying goodbye. It'd suck if he retires, I feel like he has at least another good season in him. I'd like to see him on a team that would allow him a good championship run.

like hell he gonna retire, he still got a year or 2 on his big ass contract and he just got a triple double. He wanna compete for a ring before retiring and he know he might get some good opportunities this off season
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

unlike last season, his value is pretty high and desperate teams who need change (76ers, Bucks) won't miss such a PG
--- Double Post Merged, ---

Even clippers might go after him if PG have another of his Pandemic P moment and make them lose (i'd take current CP3 over current PG and both have similar contract that expire in 2022)
