PG said this season wasn't a "win or bust" situation for the Clippers, I disagree with simply because of how much was traded away and how little they had committed in the short run. If he truly believes that then I hope both and Kawhi do bring something to that organisation. Anything short of a NBA title would then really be a bust.

Speaking of the Denver-Lakers matchup, you guys think they should just throw Game 1 first? At least, that’s what I’d do if I were Malone. How many days of rest do they have before Lakers anyways? One, right?

We just finished another 7-game series with only a day of rest between the first round and second round, I would seriously consider resting my players or at least put them on minutes restriction. Losing Game 1 isn’t a disaster considering we got through that just fine down the road.
I mean, if they had done that, they definitely wouldn't have gone to 6 games against Clippers, so it wouldn't be a terrible move. I doubt Coach Malone would do that, unless he really fancies himself against Lakers. But then again, that's putting themselves on a handicap against a team much more focused than Clippers.

Nuggets and Lakers isn't until 19th 2am GMT, so they get 2 days?

Nah they got 2 days of rest. Thats enough. Gotta keep that momentum. Too much rest is not good. Have you seen heat 1st QT yesterday lol

Missed the game since i had to go to bed early. Glad we won

Saw the recap, Dragon carried once again. Glad the Mavs refused the trade last summer. Everybody forgot what healthy Dragic is capable of since he was injured last 2 years
--- Double Post Merged, ---

he's free agent this summer, hope we keep him. Dallas gonna extends their claws again :bnah

I saw the score at the half and thought Miami had dug their own graves. But damn, to go 2-0 up against Boston is a really good position. I hope they see it through.

Giannis back to back MVP. Though I think LeBron should've won, congrats to him.

Lebron suffert from MVP fatigue, he won too many they don't want to give it to him anymore. As long as there will be a 2nd option, Lebron won't get another one unless he does something absurd

I'm inclined to say he deserved it for the regular season and to be fair I think AD was the Lakers best regular season player.

I don't think LeBron cares about regular season MVP. He'll do enough to get a good seeding but post season is where he lives.

But there's a lot of truth to what you say @scav about voter fatigue. I think he's been robbed of a good few MVPs because people were just tired of him winning and now that narrative had been pushed to Giannis as the "next king"

I don't think Lebron has been close to mvp these years, he basically coasts through the regular season. I think Giannis deserves it fully this year but last year's should had been Harden's.

I remember Harden last year having a moan and he definitely had a case. He was a scoring monster. I think he had more 50pt games than the rest of the league combined.

wtf the refs are doing
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

my god they ruined the game
--- Double Post Merged, ---

oh yeah it's scott foster and tony brothers officiating. 2 of the worst refs. that game became nearly unwatchable. i'm tempted to turn it off.
--- Double Post Merged, ---

lakers got 32 FT in one half that's how stupid that 2nd QT have been. too many whistles.
--- Double Post Merged, ---

the officiating became normal again but it's kinda too late after they sabotaged the whole 2nd QT :bnah

Were they trying to draw Jokic on the fouls or what? I'll watch highlights later.

everybody was getting fouls on the Nuggets, some of them were legit but way too soft. it wasn't basketball anymore, felt like a foul on every possession. It's kinda annoying when you just wanna watch good basketball and that's what you get. The funniest part is they know themselves they fucked up when they gave Lakers 32 FT by halftime cuz during the 3rd they didn't give the lakers any. Let that sink in, 25 of those 32 FT where during the 2nd Quarter. 25FT in one quarter, i don't know if it ever happened before

they put Jokic on foul trouble, destroyed the game momentum and went back to normal the rest of the game after Lakers took a huge lead. It was unwatchable.

--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

That's the most absurd officiating i've seen on a playoff game, show how rigged those games can be sometime. someone who just watch the box score or highlight will think it was a normal game.
--- Double Post Merged, ---

that been said, i believe the Lakers played better this game. refs didn't need to do all that nonsense in the 2nd QT, Lakers would still have won and the game would've been enjoyable

Heat - Celtics game 5 is wednesday and that's good. Spo need time to re-adjust. Heat didn't deserve to win the way they played yesterday and it might be a good thing that they lost, Lakers and Scott Foster would eat them if they play like that. Couldn't find an answer to Celtics defense. Lot of turnovers could've been avoided : sloppy passes, sloppy dribbles. Couldn't get it done in the paint so we relied too much on 3 pts and they weren't falling (we missed 32 3pts). Also as much as a love Kendrick Nunn, he have no business being in the rotation against the Celtics.

You mean game 4?

It's crazy that Celtics 4 guys all scored over 20pts, that's depth. Heat need to go over their game plans to stop those guys from getting a lot of those points in the paint. Also as you said, they can't be become that reliant on 3s like Rockets used to be, have to make the opposition work and move. Still hoping Heat can take this in 6. The momentum is starting to shift, so they definitely need to get the next game or it will have shifted completely.

yeah game 4.
the 4 days break is interesting. Since it give both coaching teams enough time to watch and analyse the tapes. The East benefit from being ahead of the west by 2 games. They want to even things out

Did anyone follow the Lakers game? I won't be able to watch any matches live this week as I've got work early. AD's shot was clutch as fuck, from replay Nuggets will be fuming at their players because they didn't switch properly. Plumlee was on AD who then moved around the side for the shot but the player marking Lebron should've followed AD, once he saw Plumlee come towards Lebron. In the end, they just didn't communicate properly and both ended up on Lebron, by the time Jokic got near AD, he had already released it.

They should be gutted, the Nuggets but Lakers also need to look at their play and not allow situations like this for games to be so close. But personally I love that AD is happy to shoulder them tough shots, because Lebron can draw the attention and it frees him up a little.

He himself said in an interview earlier in the year that the goal is to win a championship. Even Doc Rivers disagreed after the game lol.

Yeah I saw TV commentators making fun of him because of that. Did you guys hear that he apparently made a speech in the locker rooms after their defeat to the Nuggets and the other players were rolling their eyes. :XD

I saw that on ig and the comments were insane. Chemistry is non-existent on that team. :3c

Pat Bev's comments to Curry did not age well either.

that team lack leadership. Kawhi is the silent type of guy but that won't work with that team. they need to look for a vet who can hold the guys accountable if they play like shit. kinda like what Marcus smart did with the Celtics or what Lebron used to do with the Cavs. those guys blew a big lead 2 games in a row and they didn't panick or hold a meeting. They were over confident

they should just look to trade PG at this point. that guy isn't getting anything done and will probably leave next year. I'm really curious what they gonna do this offseason. I'm not good at calculating how the luxury tax work but Ballmer got that fuckyou money and might go all in to get guys like FVV
