its not just that, although it doesnt help... Berserk is released once every 2 weeks(not including holidays and what not) so it takes twice as long to release the same amount of chapters.

if that were the case berserk would still be past the number of chapters naruto currently has

hmm....1st thing is tat the manga is released every two weeks
then.....the mangaka takes a LOT of breaks...
tat is why naruto is heaps of chapter ahead of berserk

if you wanna go even further its probably because of the amount of detail going into each chapter. Gotta admit it does suck to wait so long for one chapter.

Better to wait and get quality story and artwork then to be fed the weekly barrel of average that sometimes plagues weekly mangas, cough*Naruto*cough. :P

I agree with you about the story,but not about the artwork.I'd happily sacrifice a bit of the artwork to have the chapters coming out more fequently.
Anyway I don't think that Naruto is the right example for what you were talking about.After all,even though I don't like all that talking about sasuke(that looser!),I think that Naruto is a good manga.

Personally I think Berserk and Vagabond are much much better than any shounen jump manga. But they are seinen manga and are serialized in different magazines too.

I think I had read somewhere on this forum before that Berserk basically get about 1-2volumes per year.

And Berserk without the amazing art wouldn't be the same.

I'm going with a coincidence, It's not similar enough to be a tribute, and they aren't exactly the most unique symbols ever.

True if I remember correctly the republic in Star Wars has a very similar symbol to the one in Jackals. more so than it is similar to the hawks.

What do you mean? If you mean the regular release schedule, it's twice a month since that's how often Young Animal comes out. However, Miura takes breaks often so it's really irregular.

"Continued"? The next chapter/episode is due out on 12th June, if that's what you mean. You should check the latest spoiler thread in future, it often lists the release date for the coming chapter/episode in the first post.

Miura does Berserk without assistants, you know. Besides, quality over quantity.

its a pain how he does 4 chapters and then takes a 3-6 month break, i wonder how many fans he lost from all of those breaks. i feel like taking a break from berserk for 10 months but that would be a waste considering there would only be 2 chapters. grrrr i think i should take a 5 year break lol that at least might be a whole volume! lol
