... It's possible your source misinterpreted the information. The word is that 307 marks the end of the "Millennium Falcon" arc and the chapter of "Falconia"; with 308, the "Fantasia" arc begins, as well as the chapter of "Elf Island".

I looked through that, it's ALL a big recap, basically going over the whole story character by character, and also in long paragraphs explaining what everything is. There's nothing new or seemingly interesting there. It's just there because it's the end of a hiatus and the 20th anniversary.

Random post sorry everybody....hope you don't mind ....I love naruto and stumbled upon vinland saga which I ate up every chapter I could find in a few days(56) manga is new for me and I read somewhere if you like vinland saga berserk is a definate recomendation I would love to know from the honest fans of berserk if this is true and I've read a page or 2 here and the description slightly frightening but very intriguing has goten me very curious please any thoughts would be appreciated and sincerely apologize for this misplaced post if indeed that's what it is thanks for atleast reading it

I don't read Vinland Saga, but if you're up for an uber-gory, manly, medieval/fantasy, epic, revenge story then I'd say you can't go wrong with Berserk.

K so I've made it through volume 14 not sure what chapter that equals....I have a few questions and problems for everyone here that's interested in helpin me out here......1st things first his name-where im reading these the characters have called him variations throughout guts gutts gats gatts gatz gutz.....drives me nuts nutts nutz natz ....please clear this up over anything else I bring up....I think this is a hilarious manga and just totally different in every way ...the art seemed cheesey for a good while but picked up a little....does the art get better? What's with puck? The opening sequence was I guess present time and I really didn't care for puck and im glad he's not been in the rest so far...is he worth giving a chance does he come back later on? Who the hell is the skull rider guy was there a point to the gaeseric guy reference? Forgive me for the names I really am reading from a place where the names and translations are terrible.....I liked judeau a lot not so much caska .....is it behelit or beherit....or....? And do we go in to the tower again where griffith was tortured as a human? That really seemed interesting....I think the different knights are not so appealing ....white tigers purple rhinos black dogs....does this continue throughout.....is rickert gonna grow in to someone cool hope he's not a wasted character cause judeau was way cool..... anyway thanks for reading I know everyones more interested in new chapters and not this old stuf but if anyone has an opinion or some helpful advice or knows the names please help me out and thanks berserk is really growing on me

Your calling the art of Berserk cheesey?.....from the opening volume the art is 1000x anything you'll see in Naruto or bleach or any manga...and it just keeps getting better and better.

Its sloppy is all itas not a big deal to me the manga is plenty enjoyable I think the weapons and environments are done well just not a fan of all females having the same pair of tits and abs and when there's bodies on spears or hanging in chambers they all look identical I just think the art loses half a point om background characters and half a point on characters in the foreground not sayin its 3/10 or that its worse than another manga just little things that make it seem all weapons and monsters and no concern for variation in humans there is more now at 14 than at 2 or 3 so it is improving but even the main character changes size compared to other characters like caska sometimes he's huge next to her others he's average looking and his build is sometimes massive and others kinda small but ripped just seemed like the artist focussed all efforts and talent on monsters/demons and weapons when they do old people in this manga its freaky the princess' dad when he was molesting her was so sick the depth in his face was gross and realistic and when he was aged later great art work anyway sorry if this is offending the dedicated readers of berserk I will gladly delete my post if its only viewed as offensive coulda used help on the leads name

Only time I see inconsistency is on Gutts sword. The size varies from time to time but thats about it.

It's Guts, G-U-T-S, Guts. When the Japanese pronounce his name it sounds like "Gatsu"; I'm guessing that's where, at least some of the multiple derivations originate.

Hold on, hold on... You're currently reading volume 14 - very close to some of Berserk's most badarse imagery - and you regard the art as... "cheesy"?

Alright, I'm calm now... Seriously, though, I've never seen anyone critise the quality of Berserk's art before... Okay, I have... but only when comparing the early volumes to recent ones.

Ah, yes, Puck: A common cause of complaint. He returns at the beginning of the Conviction Arc/Chapter of Lost Children (partway through volume 14).

I'm a fan of Puck early on in the manga. He provides insight into Guts' feelings and frame of mind, whereas later on he becomes little more than a sentient first aid kit used for comic relief.

Luckily for you, however, he's given less and less "screen time" as the manga progresses and as Guts' companions grow in number.

Simply put, we don't know and we're still speculating.

More confusion. The correct romanisation, I believe, is "Beherit", but the anime subtitled it as "Behelit". Similarly, Judo - that's the correct spelling, by the way - was subtitled as "Judeau" in the anime. You can gripe over it all you like, but most fans will understand who or what you're referencing, regardless of the spelling.

We haven't revisited the Tower of Rebirth since Griffith's prison break back in volume 10.

There are different nations and factions and whatnot, yes, but if you're asking whether the "<colour> <animal> Knights" thing continues, then no - it's unique to the Tudor Empire, as far as I know.

Hard to say without spoilers... Well... Rickert kind of takes a back seat from the Eclipse onwards, so I wouldn't expect him to become Judeau 2.0, if I were you.

Even early on the art was fantastic in Berserk. But ya, you can gauge the amount of time Miura has spent on the manga by simply comparing quality in the early volumes to the later ones. It is a 20 year span, of getting better.

K so I finished 14.....little confused am I back to the beginning AFTER saving puck in the tavern or before I wanna say after because his demeanor has changed and he carries on with puck as if they've met already and this was the best volume so far for me I like ....Zodd? Or zodo? Anyway so far him and judeau have really gotten points from me I like that this doesn't seem to really get dull ever a few political pieces with griffith earlier but big payoff I think oh and if anyone can put the page up when he blasts the cannon for the first time....I got to see him flip the hand back then the aftemath but that page in between wouldn't load I was so pissed that sword is the sh@t too! Thanks everybody
