August is a bit hard to rank properly. But I have him above Laxus because he tanked Gildart's best attack, an attack that shattered his mechanical arm, and still had enough power left over to cast Ars Magia. The only reason I have Madmole over him is because there's no conceivable way I can see Brandish ever stabbing him with her knife.

In all seriousness, Laxus may have better durability but Erza literally refuses to go down in 99% of her fights. I thought a Laxus fan like yourself would get it, Laxus being able to put down someone so stupidly tanky that she's tankier than him is a massive sign of strength.

Overall thoughts:

• It is excellent that Jacob didn't make top 10. That would have been an embarrassment to the human race. The dude is Neinhart level trash without his transport. Catastrophe avoided. You all deserve the utmost praise for not allowing this to happen.
• Somewhat satisfying to see Skullion edge out Mirajane for top 10. Reflects their conditions from the latest chapter.
• God Serena making this list at all was a surprise for me, especially since Wall was eliminated early on. I suppose he is a dragon slayer though.
• Gray and Gajeel is right where I expected him to be.
• Madmole was robbed, I say. The dude can do things that nobody else can.
• Gildarts losing out to Natsu is a bit iffy, imo he should be above Laxus.
• Fine with where Natsu ended up.
• August should be higher imo, but 3rd place isn't bad.
• Satisfied that Laxus edged out Erza, like he did in the manga.

Meh saying August is "immune" to magic is an NLF at best. Do you think August can nullify something like Igneel's roar or Ignia Natsu's attack which defeated Mercuphobia ? Just because it's caster magic doesn't make him immune to it if it's a tier above him. Acnologia could also eat magic thrown at him , look what happened when he tried to eat the Ravines of Time. Same goes with Zeref's immortality , it's regarded as absolute because we know Ankhseram is stronger than Acno and Igneel ( unless they use some loophole like power of the dead ). However , the same can't be said for Ignia now , because by looks of it Ignia is a lot stronger than Acnologia in raw power at least.

Yeah Acnologia still can be affected by magic that isn't thrown towards him , for example Irene's universe one and Natsu's infamous punch at the end. Although I don't know whether Irene legit teleported Acnologia away or Acno's position remained the same while the rest of the continent's shape changed lol.

Yeah, I too don't think August can nullify Acno tier attacks. I think he can nullify attacks upto a tier ahead of him tho, not more than that.
It's probably similar to how Midnight's magic works, he was able to nullify weakened Jellal's attack and Erza's attacks; but Jellal's attack in Tartarus arc affected him (don't know whether it's CIS, I'll assume it wasn't)

Nah, I disagree about Ignia being stronger than Acno. Nothing he's shown us so far suggests it.
Acno was strong enough to one shot any character in Alverez arc (except Zeref of course, cause of immortality). Merc stomping team Natsu can easily be replicated by Acno as well, but better.
He's also just gonna eat anything thrown at him by Ignia or any other dragon god. On top of that, he can extract Dragon Souls and nerf them instantly as well (as he did for the parent Dragons)

I think Acno just got teleported by the land he was on lmao.
Eileen's magic only affected the land, people just got transported as the land got transported as well.

As someone who rated God Serena high (I ranked him just below Gildarts, as no.4), I'll explain:
- He absolutely tanked everything thrown at him by Jura and 3 guys tiers above him, without even a scratch on his body.
Yes we don't know how strong the GOI are, but the weakest of them (Warrod) had high enough magic power to create a giant tree to transport team FT over thousands of miles. We know that Jura isn't toally powercrept because Makarov (who's likely Jura level) is still seen in high regards, even in 100 YQ arc.

- The guy is hyped to be at Gildarts tier at full strength. Gildarts himself wondered who would've won the fight if Serena was at full strength. Historia Serena wasn't instantly one shot by Gildarts, but the fight lasted off screen and Gildarts finished him off with his strongest named attack (Haja Kensē: Zetten ) that he used against Bluenote and August

- Not strictly related to tankiness......He was overwhelming team Natsu (granted Natsu was in his base) as a historia, with a fraction of his strength. Erza was impressed with his power as historia to the point wondering if that's the power of the mage who stood at top of Ishgar lol. A mere headbutt between him and Gildarts gave off massive shockwaves.

IMO the guy is one of the most underrated character of the series, just because he was one shot by a guy who can one shot anyone in the verse except top tier dragons

Historia God Serena was defeated by Itten, the same move that Gildarts used to defeat Bluenote. Gildarts used Zetten against August only.

The same attack should likely wipe Erza off the face of earth. How did she finish above August in this.
