Aster couldnt have entered into a more pertinent squad. Yami is a frigging muscle freak like him and fights with swords. Asters sword action is limited to swinging. I hope that we will get to see a time skip after this grand arc of present issue with the hidden organization over or moved to a new dimension and Aster gets to train in earnest with Yami.

that would be cool but I also think asta needs to calm down and read his grimiore properly and extract more information from it. for one it seems one can evolve and add new spells to their grimiore and possibly tap new powers and abilities something asta isn't doing yet but should

I am loving yami more and more as chapters come by. I hope in near future it gets to be an ongoing anime. It will romp the regular charts.

btw Dont think its william. I dont doubt he has sth to do with the goup but williams magic seemed to be like a tree like thing or nature magic.or may be he cn do both.

Yami sure fits the bill of a captain. He's very impressive but so is Licht. Yami called out to Asta so does that mean he's nearing his limit?

So Fuego knew who he was and Yami recognized him, but couldn't figure out who he was either... Anyone else still think he's William?? Good chapter overall, loved Yami's whole part in this chapter - such a funny guy. I hope the old Sister will live, she is that awesome old lady that's in most manga series.

I think William has been the general theory since we the chapter we saw that Fuego knew the attacker. Still based on the way he talked and his hair, I have doubts that it's William.

From the beginning of this thread I've thought it was obvious that William was evil. Part of me hopes that Tabata will swerve us and it will not be William, but it just seems obvious.

Yami and William already contrast each other, since one captains the worst Magic Knight squad, while the other captains the best. So the light vs darkness wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Well there are a number of odd things imo. The whole appearance change from the hair to the dressing seems a tad too much. Also, I think yami would've been able to recognize if it was Williams mana and yami did say that he doesn't know any light user. Lichts magic seems to be mainly light so yami should've at least seen William use it before. Well right now, the most likely person seems to be William but I have a feeling it's not him

Nope not nearing his limit but nearing his boredom limit. Yami's bored with light and he's too weak so he's going to give it to Asta to take care of. A lion doesn't go killing sheep it's not worth the sword sheathing

Well you can only get to say that if Yami was clearly overpowering Licht which he isn't. Yami certainly knows that licht is way out of Asta's league and Asta already sustained numerous injuries. It's basically suicide for Asta to fight licht alone and Yami already told Asta to watch him in battle

I think he is actively training Asta because Asta according to him is sub par. No matter how we see it and his achievement Asta is still new and Yami knows it. He lacks battle experience and a formal training. He has been doing great because of the surprise factor in his arsenal and he is basically an anti mage while the world is used to mages only.
Btw Licht seemed to have recognized astas power. May be we will get to know the background of the anti mages some time in the future.

One thing that concerned me with Licht was what he said about 'Taking Asta's griamore' and why he of all people had it. Maybe there is more to Asta's griamore then he realizes?? Again another reason why I can't get the thought of William being 'not a good guy' was because of what he said in chapter 12, about making Yuno a strong pawn - though it could be for another reason entirely - and for some reason in his first appearance his griamore was obscured, and all of his reactions/inner thoughts during the Knight Examinations were rather strange.

The chapters come out when I am sleeping now, so it's nice to wake up to them being out.

I love how Licht cares so much for his followers. It's nice when bad guys can actually be seen as good characters.

This 'Ki' is interesting, Asta was being taught during a battle again - which was funny with Yami's comments. Licht's 'Bright Judgment Whip' was very destructive, an awesome attack; I am surprised Yami and Asta managed to dodge it so well. Why can I see something bad happening to Yami?

Also, did anyone else notice that the guy that created the hand made out of tree roots was actually Licht?? He has two affinities - go back and closely re-read chapters 35-37. Well, the parts that revolve around that group anyway.

Hm, with the Nun being able to draw mana from outside and this ki, it's very reminiscent of sage mode from Naruto. Anyway, Asta managed to pick this up fairly quickly. Quite funny that Yami choose to teach Asta during a battle. Well Yami doesn't seem to be struggling but licht still seems to have a lot left to give. The other guy is down so it's Yami and Asta vs licht. The latter might go down or be forced to retreat at this rate

Like i said Yami will train asta because Asta is well suited for what Yami does. I am a teansy but disappointed that he has 3 clover grimiore but i guess Ki can even the odds or take him close enough to even the odds somewhat. Not sure if being manaless makes asta very receptacle in terms of KI gathering or manipulation but it would be interesting if that happens.

By the looks of things, Yami went into complete badass mode and kicked ass. Then Asta just ditching his swords and using his fists was awesome - as someone commented earlier, Licht and Valtos may need to retreat in the mean time. Which would be good, I was kind of looking forward to a small Nozelle vs Licht battle; as he said he wanted to get revenge.

All we need to do is wait till early next week to understand what's going on, I don't mind the wait - considering it's free for us to read.
