yami is a true monster he's playing around the entire time and even had time to teach asta a few key important lessons now I wonder how he is when he's real serious and real pissed hes definitely not going all out at all a stroll through the park for him
Oh my God Yami is a BEAST! I liked him from the beginning of the story, this is why I have been eagerly waiting to see him in battle.
Tbh I have always preferred hand to hand combat in manga or anime, so I got hyped seeing Asta throw away the swords and just deck Valtos. These two are an awesome team.
But I predict Licht will still win, he'll pull something out of his sleeve in the next chapter. I'll go as far as to predict Asta might have to save Yami, not wanting to watch another badass Captain/mentor go down. Or the other way, Yami might lose protecting Asta. Asta could be seriously hurt and Yami retreats to save him.
Anyway can't wait to see this translated, I'm really interested in Yami and Licht's conversation mid battle.

I know this premature, but I wanted to ask everyone who frequents this thread.
If or when Black Clover ever gets an anime, which studio do you WANT to animate it, and which do you THINK will?
I would want Madhouse (obviously), Manglobe, or Production I.G.
I'd be okay with MAPPA, Sunrise (though I doubt it), or White Fox (as long as it's not another Akame Ga Kill).
As far as who I think will animate it, A-1 Pictures (they love magic), Studio Pierrot (I really bet they will), or Toei (God I hope not)

Also I'm not a hater of Toei as much as others are. They have a significant redeeming quality, in that they follow the source material more than most other studios. To be honest I actually want Black Clover's anime to be a long running one, I know that's not popular anymore but that's what I'd personally prefer. And Toei is probably the only one who'd do it.
And yes I agree Sunrise would be great, but don't they mostly do mecha anime?

I agree with Madhouse, and A-1 might do great. I love A-1's animation style, but I really don't want a filler ending for Black Clover. So I'm kind hoping they won't, out of fear of that possibility.
I think by the end of this year we'll have an anime announcement. They've been announcing anime a lot earlier lately, for example World Trigger, and now Boku no Hero, both getting anime's before reaching 100 chapters. I'd prefer if BC doesn't get one till it reaches 100, but if it keeps growing in popularity I see it happening. Announcement this year, released next year.
According to Jaiminis Scans, the chapter should've been up about 10 hours ago. I'm not sure what's going on, but guess you can expect chapter 49 to be out within the next 24 hours. As for chapter 50... in the next couple of hours maybe, also - apparently there's a colour page this week.
Just when I thought things couldn't get better, I am guessing they were all giving Gauche mana?? - correct me if I am wrong... Though, talk about backfire! Things will make a lot more sense when translated, since there was a lot of dialogue this week. Still loving how someone from White Night Eye said they could do whatever with Black Bull. XD
So light magics weakness is mirror magic? Because if thsi guy defeats the main evil honco who ko ed a captain of magic knight just because of the element of surprise then this is just too arbitrary and bad

Well these guys are just a small Guerilla group that are actually Clover Kingdom natives. In short, they are just internal matters and the bigger enemies are still the other 3 kingdoms (well I'm assuming this since their tomes are based from the 4 group in the deck of cards.)

Well it makes sense. Light reflects on mirror after all. Also, gauche got magic from all the others and was able to pull up a big enough mirror. It doesn't mean light magic is weak or licht is either but some magic just have some counters that affect it a great deal.
Yes, I look forward to seeing what happens now that the other captains have arrived - especially the new one - who kind of looks like Orochimaru - who hasn't been properly introduced and with Noselle meeting the guy who took down Leon. Were the other characters members of White Night Eye??
More fighting or retreat??
