I guess I was wrong, William was just late. Yami and Nozelle kind of antagonized him there, I also wondered why he wasn't at the valour ceremony.

We get a big reveal next week, or it has happened and we just don't know yet. :'D

I like the design of the captains for the most part, but I'd love to see all of them in color. Yami continues to be entertaining, Leon's absence can be felt among them, but it excites me more because of his potential big return. William is being significantly more suspicious, I have thought he was evil since the start of this manga and thread, I hope there is a swerve and I'm wrong.

Wizard King Julius continues to remind me of epilogue Naruto. Asta is hanging out with and taking down big shots. I can't wait to see who the traitor is, even if its someone predictable, predictable doesn't mean bad. I want Asta to have a training arc with Yami at some point, and we could have more plot focus on Yuno at the same time.

In Yami and William's small conversation - Yami mentions Light Magic.

Tbh, I feel like the author hasn't made up his mind about who is stronger than who. Things keep changing. First licht was supposed to be broken, then the impression is that Yami was pretty much his match until the last attack. Then the other 3 showed up and licht says they're stronger than him but alas, licht has a seal that when broken is so powerful that magic knight captains and even Fana and the others said it was beyond them. Then they seal it anyways.
Ah well, it was entertaining none the less, if not somewhat abrupt. I wonder if licht's leader is still alive. If not, perhaps he reincarnated as Asta or something. That bird always following him around is pretty suspicious.

I totally agree, till now things are as arbitrary as possible with power charts changing randomly. May be only The Emperor is still holding the pinnacle within the introduced characters. Other than that the whole hierarchy is simply just messed up.

Yes, I also find Nero suspicious - first knowing where the stone was, sitting on the hilt of Asta's second sword and then ch. 53. :'D

I think what Licht was referring to when he said the Third Eye was stronger then him was because of the seal - having a majority of his magic sealed away would make you considerably weaker.

Also, in an earlier chapter you see the stone tablet - the man standing there in Golden Dawns robe says something along the lines of 'Our Lords revival is near'. I think that's who he is referencing, so this person is most likely dead.

I pointed out the suspicious of the bird a while back in this forum but everyone then thought it was normal. The author might be distracting our attention from the main points like the emperor is still a fishy guy if you ask me.

I think the fact that Yuno has the 4 leaf clover and Asta has the 5 leaf black clover and the first chapter where we see the picture of a devil in the background proves that perhaps Asta's grimiore is housing a demon that is of ridiculous power which means that both Yuno and Asta have recycled grimiores their previous users died and now they are the new holders of the grimiore

But there are Four leaf grimiores not many but still it exist so it shouldnt be such a surprise or unique thing for any one to get it. It would be a great thing but not a unique one. On the other hand 5 leaf one esp in that dreary state is suspicious. Not to mention Astas power is not normal. Asta might be sth like his power is so huge that it was sealed off so he cant use magic any more or just a case of non magic user with good potential which attracted this grimiore.

Interesting but unlike naruto do you think its a reincarnation or rebirth thing where Asta was the original holder like a demon king or something, he died and he was reborn as Asta who is today. The villains have his old body and are trying to revive him not realizing he's already been reborn.

I guess Licht has not considered the fact that his special person may have been reborn again in the world and now is trying to regain his powers again with no recollection of the past

Like i said he coukd have had huge power and it got sealed off.. That could be due to incarnation. Like in past he was super strong but in this one he has that power sealed up. May be because in his current state it will be more harm to his body or sth.
I personally would prefer though that he gets to work hard to develop himself instead of magically getting it from sealed state or past incarnation. One of the reason i liked this was because he is a magic less guy in a world of mage. He has no proper mentor so things are odds with him but he still diligently moves up. That whole thing eould be quashed if he was a super power house and then after sometime he can tap into that power. That is i like jirayya nd minato more than naruto( power fro QB) or saske(power from sharingan).

AGreed I too think he should be a character who works hard to get where he gets and shows off his power that way

I m kind a not sure now, i mean if it was William i think he would have given this out in the last panel since he made it out for us to believe William is a traitor. I think William is but it wont be revealed now. May be they were fed wrong info to begin with or sth for the guys to go against each other.

I've always thought it was William - based on Licht's ability to use both Light and Tree magic, though it's not completely confirmed? I still believe it's him, though it was too easy to guess...

I'm pretty sure the name they will spill out won't be the person they are looking for. Vangeance seems to be the obvious villain, but I hope he is not. Anyway, pretty interesting chapter, as always when Julius is involved somehow.
