@ Delbi - While I did defend the absolute truth that a mangaka's life is not easy, I did not claim that I know his health condition or that sympathy for him should be based on what he has wrong with him or how he got it. My argument has been all along that no matter why he is ill, it is not overreacting or doing anything wrong to show sympathy and compassion for him. That is the human thing to do. Rather, to express such vehemence as you do is a sign of a lack of human compassion. Sorry if you have a problem with that..
Others claimed that it was because of his work that he was sick. My original point which started this whole thing was that there is no evidence that it is. Further, given the fact he's one of the best and most successful manga artists, the normal workload and stresses don't necessarily apply to him given his resources and the overall lack of pressure on him to produce something great so he can support himself and his career.

People are acting as if he is some slave who we should pity, and my point was he's a millionaire who chooses the work he does, and thus also chooses the consequences of said work. That's if the consequences led him to be sick, and there's no evidence that it has.

I have OVER AND OVER again said if that he's just sick or is suffering from a serious illness that I do feel bad for him. My biggest contention was that if he worked himself to the point of getting sick I'm not going to feel bad because he chose to do so, and it's not like he's forced to work, in fact he could probably retire tomorrow.

As far as me showing "vehemence" I don't see where I spit any venom on Kubo. As far as the "human thing to do", I offer evidence of the human bystander effect. Not all humans feel sympathy for all humans. People feel sympathy and have empathy for those they can relate to. I cannot relate to a millionaire manga artist who could possibly be the reason for his own sickness. This is a specific instance I am talking about that you and others can't seem to differentiate from me saying "screw him for being sick" which is what I never said no implied. If I did, I did not mean to.

Presumptions? Um no, you need to word your opinions more carefully. I can't take you seriously if your complaining about getting backlash here, in the Bleach forum. Is there a forum here where criticism is more welcome than here? Why don't you post what you said about Kubo about Oda in the One Piece forum? You'll get torn apart in seconds. Stop whining about being "judged".

Doesn't matter whether you see evidence, if he was sick because of it you wouldn't care if what you said before is true, and regardless of his reason for doing it, it would still be for the sake of your entertainment. And you have no evidence that he doesn't do it for the sake of entertainment either. YOU'RE the one making generalizations and assumptions, where's the proof that Kubo doesn't care about fans and just wants money?

I don't know what your profession or career is, but if you want people to respect your profession, then respect other professions, especially if it's one you have no experience in. You need to be very careful when you speak about other peoples professions, especially in a public forum. I think this is an example of the "lack of awareness" that Sky Render mentioned before. This is why you sound entitled. Respect other people's hard work. Don't assume they just care about money when you don't even know them. Don't say ANYTHING when they take time off that they are supposed to have. That is if you want people to respect your work.
I don't even know where to start with this.

Let me first address the point that I don't need to word my opinions any way other than the way I want. I'm not complaining about backlash, I expect that, I'm complaining about name calling, because that's just immature and childish.

I also never said he does it for whatever reason, I simply said that his own health and well being and thus the well being of his family should take precedent over ANY reason for why he does what he does. Whether for the fans or for money, or for whatever, his own health should take priority. If he ignores his own health and thus puts himself at risk then I find that stupid. I understand how artists can be, same with athletes or anyone who will work to the bone for something. But when you are putting yourself at serious risk and you are suffering because of it, is it really worth it? I don't think it is, and I don't pity anyone who becomes injured in a profession like this one. I respect the profession, I understand how demanding it can be. But I don't condone or feel bad for an artist like Kubo, who has nothing left to prove, working himself to death if that's indeed how he got sick.

Finally, please don't be a hypocrite. You assume things about me, word your opinion of me like an oversensitive child who had his teddy bear ruined, and then go on to tell me I need word my opinions more carefully and I can't assume things? And you talk about being taken serious. I can assure you, what I choose to do is much more noble and serious than writing a manga, PM and I'll open your eyes to what real suffering is and why I don't feel bad for tortured artists who choose their fate when their are plenty of people who never get such a choice.

You don't get what I'm saying. I'm not making any assumptions about you. I'm just reading what you say. And that's why you need to word your opinions more carefully my friend. If you don't, people will misunderstand you and might get pissed off, which is how this whole thing started off. "I never feel sorry for someone who chooses to do something and then suffers for it." That's what you said, and it leaves plenty of room for people to think of scenarios that you wouldn't feel sorry for which would make you sound like you have no compassion. No one here is saying Tite Kubo is a martyr. I never compared working hard to "suffering". I don't doubt that your profession is a noble one, but if you want people to respect your profession you need to respect the profession of others, and that's why you need to be careful how you word things. Do you really disagree with this sentiment? I'll tell you this: It doesn't matter what you say, if you say it like an asshole, you'll get treated like an asshole. That's how the Internet works. And that is a tad unfortunate, since something on paper might sound different than intended to other readers. I'm not trying to tell you who you are, I'm just trying to explain why your comment pissed people off.

I know you were called names, I believe you were told you sound like an asshat. But who cares, that's honestly harmless. You were hardly mauled by a sea of raging angry fanboys. That's why I say you overreact. In quite a few other places I can think of, the replies to that kind of comment would've been much worse. I speak from personal experience. This is just a heated debate that has gone on longer than it should. Just let it die. Either way I think it's better if I say nothing more.

Best argument that has been proposed in this thread for a while now!

Everyone has had more than enough shots to tackle on this topic. I believe it's the best course of action to just stop here. Hangout thread is meant to be a place for light-hearted Bleach discussion, and this has been anything but that for some time. At this point, I'm afraid I feel like this has turned into a gathering of killjoys (or so dictate the tone of many posts as of late), rather than people who want to have fun discussing Bleach.
So, I will be the "bad cop" and interfere before we get to a more unpleasant stage with this debate.

In attempt to switch the topic...

We've yet to know the true background story for Ryuuken and the glimpse of his mom's right ankle/calf wound mark hasn't been clarified on what it exactly was. What if she encountered a hollowified arrancar herself and a wound was inflicted without knowing exactly what type of hollow it was then Ishida Sougen did a procedure that only suppressed her from becoming a hollow but not eliminating it completely from her which explains his absence due to his efforts in finding a full cure for her.

Theoretically the case for the Auschwalen was for the 'impure' quincies as chosen sacrifice for Yhwach, but if a shinigami/hollow same as human/hollow are opposite sides of the spectrum rendered possible then a chance of a possible quincy/hollow hybrid could be as well. What if the reason Uryuu was left unharmed during the Auschwalen was possibly....he's a hybrid themselves? If I'm not mistaken, even Yhwach doesn't know Ichigo is a hybrid of a hollow and did claim Uryuu possesses something that could even surpass Yhwach, therefore leaving Uryuu unexposed if he actually is a hybrid himself.

I believe Kubo is actively trying to make a meme out of himself at this point:

I wonder when and how will the Fullbringers appear. I can't see them having a big impact in the story unless Ginjo happens to provide insight into something regarding SS's history.
I expect Ginjo to be revealed as a War potential due to his powers.Kubo left his past unexplained maybe because he will tie it into the current arc somehow.I believe when he shows up,The past of the Shinigami maybe shown as well or maybe his powers will play a pivotal role in defeating Yhwach somehow.

So I was on ANN looking for some info on another series and I came across this:

Anime News Network said:
Bleach Creator Tite Kubo Suddenly Leaves Twitter

Following in the footsteps of voice actor Toshiyuki Toyonaga, the usually active Tite Kubo has suddenly quit Twitter on Thursday. He offered no explanation, only writing the day before, "[Notice] Tomorrow night, after about 24 hours I will delete my Twitter account. Until that time, please direct message me."

The Bleach manga creator made good on his promise and his account is now gone. Prior to this, Kubo often engaged with fans and confirmed news through the service.

Following his departure, Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine posted a notice on Friday stating that false photos originating on Twitter are being spread online that are being passed off as photos of Kubo. The magazine's editorial department added that "such acts infringe upon the personal rights of Tite Kubo," and stated that they will pursue legal action to deal with the matter in the case of malicious intent.

Kubo began working on the finale of the long-running series in 2012 and took a one-month hiatus in 2013 to prepare the final battle.

Too bad to hear about the photo thing. I hope he'll be back. I used to read his tweets a lot in the past.

What? Up there in the picture that shows all the different mangaka drawing their own version of Bleach characters. Kishimoto drew the one that shows all the different versions of Mayuri. It's in the post by Asclepius in the second spoiler tag.

Yeah I see now...I didn't scroll up, I didn't even the other read post :/

The Kishi is pretty decent...the rest are just silly or pretty bad, Kubo might be a weak storyteller at times but man, can he draw or what? He really improved along from when he start....damn

As far as art is concerned, Kubo is almost unbeatable. My favourite artist by far in both style, design and panel composition.

Yeah he has improved so much over the years...so good at drawing what I also like ...is that he can even dress up his character if he wants easily. Some artist just practice drawing them that same monotonous way....if they deviate too much they can't handle it, not Kubo though. I have to give him credit where it's due...he's really great at drawing.

I'm pretty sure Kubo is actually a fashion designer who happens to like drawing manga.

Pretty sure it's both, although I don't see him going back to manga after all these years. Maybe some one-shots.
