Hello guys! Ive been pondering starting watching Bleach on Netflix, was hesitating between fairy tail and bleach, chose fairytail but after 3-4 episodes I find very childish. Then I watched seven deadly sins and even tho there are some good points to the anime, the biggest flaw IMO and is a huge one that i'm affraid will also be the case in Bleach, is that there is absolutely no sense or logic in the power rankings, which was what I appreciated the most in Naruto and HunterxHunter, it actually makes sense to train and upgrade your Nen/Chakra through element manipulation and stuff like that. So My question really is this, is bleach worth watching? Is there logic in the way the power of characters is being brought up? Thx guys!

Yes it is worth watching without a doubt my friend, you will enjoy it. The anime follows the manga when it was probably the best manga around. Animation gets better and is all inside a very good logic and a bunch of twists...

One recommendation since is quite long is to avoid the fillers since they are that... just fillers that wont affect anything at all

Bleach Manga Gets 2 Novels Penned by Makoto Matsubara, Ryohgo Narita

The wraparound jacket band on the 74th and final compiled book volume of Tite Kubo's Bleach manga revealed on Friday that the franchise will get two novels. Makoto Matsubara, who has written previous novelizations of the manga, will write the first novel. The novel will center on Renji and Rukia, and is slated for December. Ryohgo Narita (Baccano!, Durarara!!) will write the second novel. The novel will focus on Shūhei Hisagi's secret battle, and is slated for 2017.

The RenRuki novel will be on Rukia's wedding. The Hisagi novel will also be about Tosen, the four noble families and the Soul King.

So guys, apparently two new volumes are coming out on November 11th.

What are the chances on us getting some actual decent content?

Positive. Besides, the novels will take a while to get done, one's coming out in December, and the other in 2017, right?

But someone on Reddit said it was more of a "compilation" or best-of of sorts, not entirely sure what it is, but it will probably have no new content.

Naruto power ranking are total and utter shite, if you were satisfied with them then you wont have much problem with Bleach since its more believable when it comes to power standings.
Bleach is really great if you skip all fillers, the anime actually ended quite well.

So I tried skipping the first bleach fillers from ep.64 to 108, then started at 109 and was a bit confused with Ichigo's father and some random weird looking student.. Maybe I should read a brief resume of what happened between 64-108 or do I just keep watching 109 ? Thx mister! Also from your point of view, which other anime is worth watching when you love HXH Naruto Bleach, any other well made battle anime? One piece Maybe? Altho its not on netflix, there's Kill La kill on netflix and its only 24ep I might give it a shot, what do you think?

So has anyone else checked out the novel? A couple of weeks ago I randomly remembered it was coming out and thought I'd look it up. Read some summaries and am going through the translations, and there's actually some interesting stuff. Imo it does lose points for having another uninspired manipulative, sadistic antagonist, who I really have no interest in, but it fills in some gaps that were left over from the manga.

Worth skimming through a summary if you're still the least bit interested in Bleach imo. I'm not finished, but it's interesting. Nice to get a little bit of closure on some things that were left noticeably unaddressed.

• Yhwach's corpse is the new Soul King. Squad Zero put a lot of barriers and seals into it and transported him to the Soul Palace. It is heavily implied that something similar happened to the old Soul King and that Yhwach is not gone for good and still has an influence over the world. His body parts may also possibly be alive. Of course no one knows what actually happened between him and Kazui, why it happened and what the consequences will be
  
  
• The general population doesn't know this. They were told that Squad Zero successfully protected the Soul King and that he never died.
  
  
• Shunsui and Ichibee initially planned to make Ichigo the next Soul King. They would have cut him up. Shunsui didn't like it much, Ichibee didn't care. He only trained Ichigo for that in the first place and honestly didn't expect him to win. He joked that it would be a bit boring if Ichigo could not speak for all eternity. It was luck, because Yhwach had decided to change his plans and absorb the Soul King, that saved Ichigo. That's also what the soul tickets were there for.
  
  
• The history and origins of Soul Society are all based on lies.
  
  
• The actions of Squad Zero regarding the truth and the Soul King will be put into question in ten (the epilogue) or 100 (when Soul Society is going to have 100 days without night thanks to Ichibee) years

• Ginjou was innocent. A Shinigami was sent to assassinate him. That Shinigami killed all of Ginjou's friends and Ginjou killed him in a fit of rage. Finding out about that plus the truth behind the Shinigami badge led to him rebelling. He went to the Seretei during the final arc in order to know the truth. But thanks to the Kamikake Ukitake was dead and could not speak. Ginjou still doesn't know why someone would want to assassinate him. It's implied the order came from high above. Ukitake is a major suspect and Ginjou believes it was him, but so far there is no confirmation.
  
  
• Hanatora was the one who healed Urahara's eyes
  
  
• His brother Seinosuke is alive. He is medical attendant for the Great noble families
  
  
• Shino (the female Shinigami substitute and partner of Yuki, that Ichigo saved in the beginning of the final arc) is the little sister of Ikkaku. Her full name is Shino Madarame.
  
  
• Shino and Ikkaku lost their parents at a young age in the Rukongai. Ikkaku decided to become a Shinigami and Shino followed him. He was immediately accepted into Squad 11. Shino had to go to the academy first until she was accepted into Squad 13.
  
  
• The earthquakes that the death of the Soul King caused, led to the rise of several religious end-time sects.
  
  
• Yukio became the boss of his company after six months and thanks to his experience with Ichigo in the final two arcs, he decided to use it to help humanity and make a better world
  

The story thus far:

• Yhwach is currenntly being prepared for the lynchpin ritual by Shunsui and Ichibee. Grimmjow, Nel and Harribel witness this. Harribel is disgusted and agrees with Aizen on that matter. They leave.
  
  
• After Oetsu woke up, he found out that someone stole a sword from him. That sword is called Ikomikidomoe. The sword is usually hidden under an ocean. But that evaporated when Ichigo got his new Zanpakto. The thief was able to use several different abilities, which should be impossible. Oetsu thus concludes that the thief was from the great noble families. The sword is dangerous.
  
  
• Several days after Yhwach's defeat Aizen is imprisoned back into Muken. There is a new chair. He wants to speak with Ichigo, but Shunsui and Urahara did not let him under suspicious pretense. Shunsui in general was rather adamant about Aizen not talking much and being sent to Muken as quickly as possible. Hisagi brought up Tosen and he and Aizen talked about the true nature of Tosen, why he killed him and the original sin of Soul Society. Shunsui eventually ended the conversation and sent him back.
  
  
• Six months later and Tokinada just woke up from a dream. It was his first encounter with Tosen right after the funeral of his wife. He fondly remembers sending him into despair and crushing his hope (and a few bones). He notices that the members of his family were assassinated, but the assassins were also all killed by Hikone except for one. He reveals that he hired them in order to fabricate him becoming the next head. He kills the assassin and prepares to make himself the new head and Hikone the new Spirit King
  
  
• Hisagi visits the Shiba estate for an interview with Kukaku. He wants to give a through and objective as possible report on the events of the war. Kukkaku says she wasn't much involved and he should speak to Ganju, but he is useless. He ends up drinking and talking with Ginjou, revealing part of his past.
  
  
• Hisagi is headed back to Shunsui's office alongside Kensei in order to cover the coronation of Tokinada. They suspect he was behind the deaths of his family.
  
  
• Keigo and Mizuiro are attacked by a crab Hollow. They are saved by Yuki and Shino (though Mizuiro was more important for the defeat). Urahara's merchandise actually works. The four talk. Muzuiro somehow knows about the Royal Realm. They mention a religious sect.
  
  
• Yukio is visited by the sister of the leader of the religious cult. The woman was a main benefactor for Yukio's company. She wants him to join. He refuses because he believes she just wants his money. She leaves but gives him a calling card "Religious sect: X-cution".

Juhabach being the new soul king makes sense in a weird way. Though it's a shame the manga did not elaborate on that, assuming it is something kubo had thought of. I am not sure of how this plays out in regards to what ichibei said of the soul king liking ichigo. With the new information it kinda looks like the soul king was a bit of a prisoner however it is possible he accepted the role. him accepting the role rather than calling bullshit like juhabach and aizen did perhaps explains juhabach's attitude towards the guy.

The noble families actually being in charge makes little sense overall. I mean, how? why? That would mean byakuya, as head of the kuchiki house, would have more authority that yamamoto had, big picture wise at least. It sort of makes sense that he and rukia were chosen to get a royal powerup though, they can't let their boss get killed like that. I guess this also means ginrei would have been a much bigger deal considering he was a captain and just that old... Still, the explanation adds much needed context.

Ukitake doesn't strike me as the type that would carry out ginjo's assasination tbh. He would do it if he was ordered to though. I guess the big question is whom ukitake was taking orders from and why ginjo was deemed a liability.

The quincy living in HM makes little sense. Hollows are poison to them..... They should be living normal humans lives in the human world.

As much as some parts sound rather reaching, a part of me just hope these untangled parts of Bleach gets a proper conclusion or continuation to the conclusion.

It deserves some justice for a fitting story development.
