I can buy haki protecting against a wide range of types of attacks. That only makes sense. But on the other hand... attacks from paramecia type fruits also take on countless forms. For instance, we saw that admirals used armor haki projection to defend from whitebeard's attack... But that makes sense. Haki works sort of like an energy wave which can be used to counteract an incoming energy wave. It's.... in a way absurd of course but I can at least make sense of it. But.... how does that apply to boa's situation?

Boa has presumably 2 forms to petrify people. The first would be via having people feel lust for her. So.... how does haki defend you from that? And the other is via her kicks? How does haki defend you from that? And if the answer is to simply not get kicked by hancock... that's not really a haki defense.

Rayleigh did comment on DF but it was mostly in the context of logia. Armor haki is basically the most effective way to counter a logia's intangibility.

Yes, but Haki would still protect someone from petrification, even if it is a beam or a kick...

dont think it works that way... if that was the case, even Momonga wouldn't have to worry as we know all vice-admiral can use haki. In Vergo's case, Law's haki would've to be stronger than Vergo's which would explain the cut.
