Re: (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) :frankerz + :kappa = ??

I remembered we were talking about that in the past, so when I saw the news yesterday I thought about bringing it up here. I'm pretty much with you, it's still a cash cow for Blizz, most likely. I only expect a few more years until it will settle on something around 3 million though, that's most likely when Blizz will slowly realize that the game is going to reach it's end somewhat soon (if they don't finish "the story" before).

Well know, I bought quite a few games too, because there are english patches out there, so they are worth the money :XD Not really much else for me though, I think Sky bought a Mosu and Pokemon plushie, so that's something else. You're quite funny with your gadgets talk, tbh I don't really care about having a Elizabeth plushie or a Senketsu wallet or stuff like that I most likely will never use again and/or hardly look at it. They're a bit too expensive for that. Not sure what other gadgets you could possibly mean.
I won't hang up a poster either xD That Taiga one was in a magazine I didn't even know about, and it's a small one. Ofc I got some stickers and small stuff like that, a music CD too, but nothing what would qualify as a gadget I think. Just for the lulz I'm somewhat regretting not buying one of those hilarious AssClass gadgets, but that's about it.
.
They've already been preparing for like 5 or 6 years for the next MMO hit, project Titan. Haven't seen any updates on it for a while now but rumors were that it would launch in 2015 or 16. Looking more like the latter now. Blizzard is just milking WOW now, they know it's a ticking "time bomb" to sound dramatic which it isn't. Even at 3M the game would be a big hit, lol. I don't think they'll quit making expansions any time soon. I saw some articles about it being planned 4 or something more expansions (the coming one included in that number). As long as it's a market they'll likely postpone hitting their final expansion. But it'll conflict with their next MMO if they got two running at the same time so I'm not sure what to believe. Maybe they don't see that as a big problem. I'm really hyped for Titan though. With all the experience they got with WoW it'll be cool to see how they approach a completely new MMO with a completely new concept and universe from anything they've done before.

I'd probably stash all such magazines etc in dark places, lol. I don't actually own a single physical copy of a manga or anime dvds besides Dragon Ball VHS tapes my cousins sent me when I was a kid (they are so kind :blush). I blame them for my love of japanese stories, RIP. The only real anime/manga stuff I own I believe is the FMA pocket watch and Lagann drill Sai bought me xD

True, it's going to remain a cash cow but yeah, I believe people are slowly turning away from WoW/leaving the game behind them. It's more than impressive how long it lasted and will last, but by now it's nothing more than a matter of time. Don't care for Titan tbh, considering how Blizz disappointed with their latest stuff (Diablo 3 for example). Really not sure if it's going to be all that good. Or more like will it be "somewhat good" or "great", like WoW was back then. They basically invented the wheel for online games, I'm not sure how well they're capable of reforming the structure. Guess time will tell.

And are those things (watch and drill) openly visible in your room? XD I mean I'm not like Sky either, my stuff isn't really visible most of the time, but that's because I have way way less manga than him and am no fan of posters. That you have nothing anime/manga related besides what people bought/gave to you is a bit disappointing though. Dunno, don't have too much either (before the trip xD) but I feel one or two things are kind of a necessity, if only to show your support for something that gave you hours or days of fun.

Re: (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) :frankerz + :kappa = ??

Diablo was a pretty huge error. It's pretty clear the team that worked on the game wasn't right for it, especially the leadership, which is evident as most of the top lead workers were "fired" later. The new team has slowly tried to make the game better (the ones that made the expansion and all the "new" features"), and all said features should've been there from the start. It's a fair concern though as they did work on Diablo as well for eternity before release after all. For some reason I have more faith in that regard though, although I had faith pre-D3 launch as well... We'll see. But I mean D3 has pretty much been the only game they've ever failed at. Everything else has beeen really good. I think the D3 genre was pretty hard to pull off too. I mean I look at D2 with rose-tinted glasses but that game was boring as hell as well if I'd be new to it now. Once you get through it there's NOTHING to do, just like D3, except the eternal grind for "no reason" which applies to both games. It's simply a genre that is kind of dying I suppose, without proper end-game (PvP), and D2 didn't have that either. This generation simply has more expectations to the SAME type of game, hence why D2 was so good and D3 was so bad, even if they by and large were the same type of game. D2 had a vastly superior story going for it, but that's about it. Once you clear the story once it really becomes irrelevant either way, so all that matters is end-game, and none of the games have that. D3 has way better "end game" than D2 now in the expansion too, but I guess people still complain. I got bored of it after a couple of weeks of pretty intense gaming at hardcore characters.

That I don't "support manga" is the industry's own fault as far as I'm concerned. I don't care for physical copies of things I've watched before. I don't buy DVDs of past films and series I've watched, or buy CDs. I'd pay for the Shounen Alpha thing, but it's not available in my country, so. I don't really reread series (manga) either so owning volumes don't interest me. It'll only collect dust. I've paid for Spotify for example to support the streaming application as well as the music industry for as long as Spotify Premium has been available, but music has way more "replay value" to put it that way. In terms of visual media I'm a huge freeloader and I don't pretend otherwise. I've subbed to various streaming applications like Netflix, HBO etc but it's simply not worth it more than a month here and now, as once you've watched what you want it's not worth subbing anymore. Back to manga I'd love to sub to Alpha to get super HQ Jump manga, but it's not available in EU so GG.

Books on the other hand is something I refuse to read on tablets or something. I much prefer to have a physical copy in my hands. Then again I don't read many books, but it's an example where I prefer the physical copy than "illegally reading" or using online features.

I guess one way I could support anime on the other hand is subbing to Crunchyroll, but I never looked into that. No idea how good the translations are either, but I guess they aren't too bad.
