I was pretty good at drawing. I'm actually pretty creative with the pen. Sadly I didn't have the grades to pursue Architect school, to my mother's great dismay, lol. I never bothered to be super serious about school. I've always done enough to get decent grades but never enough to go all the way. At university too I do the bare-minimum until it comes to crunch time, then I study like a madman for exams and get a B xD

Yeah pretty much. My grades are decent, but obviously people want "A students", which I'm not. I'm pretty much a "B student". That's not the bad part really, it's my lack of work experience. I haven't had a summer job in forever. Simply haven't needed the money and thus bothered to "just get some experience".

What are you talking about man, I'm LEGITIMATELY interested in the state of HxH!

If you are that good then why don't you draw anything? =/ Would be cool to see a pic or two from you.
I know that feel though, you just don't bother as long as you know that you are coming along just fine even without doing much. The fate of smart but lazy people?

Hmm then I guess you have to make do with something outside of the big firms? I mean it's not like that's the end if you put motivation into that, the way to a high-class job in a high-class firm probably is just longer. Are you still officially studying, or do you receive some kind of unemployment compensation?

Ofc you do If only you would watch the anime man. Didn't you read Berserk too, besides being as hiatus-ridden as Hunter x Hunter?

lol, my drawing skills were good YEARS ago. Because I stopped drawing they quickly became worse. At high school my skills were garbage, and that's years ago. I just think I would've been good at Architectual studies, since drawing buildings etc is way easier than drawing faces and stuff like that. I mean on buildings etc my skills never really died while I was still drawing (at high school we had art classes, so we drew stuff like that). What I was talking about now is drawing Chouji etc, I mean that shit would be easy and free as fuck xD More problematic would be doing complex coloring, like your sig for example. Not just brainless drawing like my sig, which would be easy with a drawing pad. No shading, no multi-color. Just "paste orange here", "paste red here", "draw line here". Then you'd need like 5 drawings to make it "animated".

Yeah pretty much, lazy but good at school when I try. I kind of have to study A LOT to ace tests, as there's always some small details I don't know and then I fail at the A. There's so many times I thought "this might be an A", only to be disappointed by some minor details pushing me down xD And yeah, I'm already passed applying on "the big firms", if I see something "small" there though I will apply even though I'll be vastly overeducated, just to get a foot within and rely on promotions.

I'm still officially studying so I get loan (although only half of what I got before), since I'm taking a single subject. I believe we talked about it before. I have enough to live on really.

Yeah I did, but Berserk is like, way better?

My second (and last) coloring ever ^^

Like you can see it needs a LOT of work. The shading is pretty bad. I was pretty happy with the upper part of his body, except the hair, that was so hard. But lower part of his body needs a lot of work in terms of shading. Also you can see the lines aren't smooth at all since I had to color it with the mouse since I have no pad. Doing such delicate work with a mouse is so damn hard, lol. I also had no idea how to properly color a Chidori, but one thing I could've done would be to add major shadow effects due to the Chidori, which would've impacted the whole picture a lot, but it was too tiresome with the mouse that I just said fk it. I was actually going to buy a pad around that time (almost 6 years ago now that I did this) because it was fun but so difficult and tiresome and SLOW to do with a mouse.

I would've done a lot with a DRAWING TABLET however. Got too mendokuse with mouse.

Really? Mouse was so trouble to draw lines etc, had to draw them so many times before being "satisfied" etc.

i was wondering...it was so hyped on ads before the start.
i really haven't heard a thing about it and it's been on for several weeks.

yeah,not really into cop shows either...but like i mentioned before,i was a fan of 24(didn't watch this recent one).
legends kinda reminded me of it...well,as far as the ads go.

Cop shows can be fun. Certain "cop" shows I used to be a fan of. I used to find Dexter and The Mentalist fun for example. I feel I am forgetting some other shows, but in general I'm kind of looking for other types of shows than cop related types of shows.

Oh yeah, I forgot Hannibal. It's TECHNICALLY a "cop" show, but it so different compared to the typical "cops chase bad guy" type of show that I almost don't think it counts. That's a superb show btw. If you haven't watched it, one of my top recommendations.

You should really watch it. Always listen to your sister

That show is superb man. Don't let the "freakishness" of it blind you from the true artistic form of storytelling it uses. It only gets better with time too. Many complained early about the show "not being truly about Hannibal" and that it was slow. Well let me just say little did they know back then. IIRC around ep 6 in season 1 it starts picking up a good pace after having "introduced the universe", and just gets rolling.

What a shame, would've liked to see one of your drawings but yeah, some drawings always make me go "wtf how can you be so goddamn good?!", I really respect people who can draw well.

Yeah makes sense, though it's always annoying when you miss an A because of some small details. Reminds me of the time I didn't get an A in biology because I made 2 spelling errors, that was so ridiculous

Not way better, no. There's a reason why the fans love it so much and still read the series, just like with Berserk. Something entirely different, but in regards to storytelling it's almost on par to Berserk and it has one of the most cleverly devised "ability" system I've seen, far surpassing Naruto or Bleach.

Drawing looks cool but yeah, the upper half is much better than the lower one. I think you could be pretty good with some practice, shame you stopped.
