It's sang by Amuro Namie, an awesome artist and an experienced one so ofc, the vocals are great.

I like the whole song, but I’m especially fond of the beginning of it. The intro is so…breathtaking that just pulls you right in and makes you want to listen to the rest of the song. And wow…she is such an incredible cellist!!
