I'm pretty annoyed with Mashima killing all these characters before we get to know them or really get a chance to care about them

Feels like he's trying to show his critics "see how annoying it is when the characters don't have some form of plot armor?"

Likewise, but it deems Mashima is trying to make a point against all the detractors that keep harassing him for not killing characters

Wow I am shocked this series remembered Raizen had a storyline but really random that this guy just showed up out of the blue

Well this was supposed to be a short series anyway so I don't mind it but, Mashima really needs to upload the quality. It has dipped drastically compared to like the first 6 or so chapters

Agreed, I feel he made this series to go "see what happens when your characters DON'T have some kind of plot armor?" to all his critics

And I agree, I can't get to know any of these characters cause he kills them unceremoniously without warning so character deaths just aren't effective

But regardless he needs to pick up the quality like you said. I get he's probably tired of this series like he was with Edolas arc, but he shouldn't just speed toward the end to get it over with

Wouah trying to reuse an iconic moment (here Shiki getting shoted by Drakkhen) to pull some hype but failed miserably but also trying to convince readers Yakuto is dead for good when he is the fucking MC and the only one who must kill God to avenge his entire clan , like peoples really think he will not coming back

I was wondering how Yakuto was coming back though I was surprised to see his unexploded head. If the gang is going to the human world then perhaps the plan to revive him could be to make a religion around him and revive him with the power of prayer.

It also looks like "God" is going for quality vs quantity when it comes to faith. Rather than have a large population of worshippers he gathers the most devout ones and isolates them to feed of them continuously. And eliminates less faithful followers which I guess prevents their energy even hypothetically going elsewhere. Of course, this would mean his limited followers are a weakness.
