Gravity is not an element, would it be a force? Think about it.

I suppose you mean Blackbeard's fruit.
Oda introduced it as darkness fruit, and gave Blackbeard power of the darkest phenomena known to exist. In that context it works fine.

Everything can't be scientific to the bone, but there are some basic rules that are followed in One Piece world.
Ace can become andproduce fire as long as there's oxygen. Aokiji needs moist to produce ice. Crocodile can't turn into sand if humidity is too high. Kizaru reflects himself around. Enel couldn't hurt Luffy.

what would someone have expected from a Sandfruit if he had never heared of Crocodile?
could sand form a solid body? or rebuild itself after a hit? or form blades that cut everything? or create a sandstorm which usually would require the control of wind? or dry out a whole city?

nobody would expect that. it just comes from the autors immagination. so its pointless to argue about the realistic useability or worthynes of a fruit we have not seen so far.

all the suggestions i made were fast shots to give some possibilities. if you try to analyse it from a scientiffic point of view you are just wrong in the World of One Piece.

the ability has nothing to do with a Paw...
just by its name the Fruit should be the weakest one ever. but it is not

what about mercury (Hg) guys? i gotta say you have all a wild imagination eh! i wouldn't have thought of any of the logia possibilities you listed here aside from wind and water (but wind is already taken by dragon right?) and the poop element is too genial eheh hope to see it soon!

edit: there may also be a ghost element but it looks too similar to perona's ability so i think we won't see that

Besides, wax can be pretty hard. Just imagine a wax ball the size of a basketball and tell me would you like to be hit with it in the head.
And glass is a lot more fragile.

could sand form a solid body? or rebuild itself after a hit? or form blades that cut everything? or create a sandstorm which usually would require the control of wind? or dry out a whole city?

Crocodile did say that he prefected his DF through practice.

nobody would expect that. it just comes from the autors immagination. so its pointless to argue about the realistic useability or worthynes of a fruit we have not seen so far.

all the suggestions i made were fast shots to give some possibilities. if you try to analyse it from a scientiffic point of view you are just wrong in the World of One Piece.

It's not pointless because all of the fruits so far had a dose of realism in the way those abilities behaved.

And no, there's nothing wrong in analyzing DF powers with some scientific thought, because they were thought of the same way.
I'm trying to say that we can possibly discern which logias we may yet see in OP.

just by its name the Fruit should be the weakest one ever. but it is not

But there is more to it than just that. Animal paws for example are used to reduce friction between surfaces.

I agree with Razh, Oda try a pseudo-cientific way. Even if it doesn't has anything to do with a completely logic way (you would need 15km of rubber to stop a thunder).
So smoke, sand, fire, electricity, ice, light and gravity are common nature elements. So no plastic plastic Logia.

What I was saying about Yami Yami no Mi is that you guys are thinking too much in elements, but you could think in a logia based in physics force... there are such weird fruits like Blueno, so be creative.

devil fruits could be anything you can imagine if its not logia you can put it under paramecia. Glas could be nice: its hard, its sharp and you could become see through(invisible). However i do think it wouldnt be a logia but a paramecia.

the death death fruit? everything you touch dies?

any element could become hard when condenced or sharp when.. sharpened some might be able to reflect light and thus blind the opponent while others could cause static electricity or something..

there are so many posibilities..

the most useless fruit would be the one that allows you to swim very fast..

I had thought about a glass logia a while back, I think it'd be really cool. You shatter your own arm against something to turn it into a crazy slashing weapon. If someone hits you, you break into a million pieces, blow over them cutting them everywhere, and reform yourself on the other side. Why would he need to make more glass? Just draw back the bits from himself and rebuild.

Also I haven't seen anyone mention an acid logia, that would be pretty potent.

What Gin said is what I have been thinking the whole time reading this thread. We can sit here and classify what would be a probable logia or would actually be a paramecia or whatever but it comes down to how the power is put into context.

Plus, determining if something is powerful or not can also be arbitrary. Imo, hands down, the most potentially power devil fruit ever introduced belonged to one of the most weakest, comedic characters. That being Foxy's noro noro power. He could literally stop time. I mean ... you just can't beat that. Which is why there were huge limitations on the ability. For one, we only saw one application, in a beam form, and two it had a time limit.

So saying this or that is too powerful, like Kizaru harnessing the sun ... First off, who's to say he isn't already doing that, and second of all, since when have the opponents in One Piece been easy. The enemy always seems ridiculously impossible to beat and then Luffy goes crazy and beats them .... That's why we read it.

A Logia is not defined by what it forms, it can be anything. It is defined by turning his entire body on it and dividing in parts.

Actually, it is.

The Logia type, able to change their living body structure into the powers of nature, are extremely powerful within all the categories of powers.

So a Logia Fruit is a Devil Fruit that lets you turn into one of the powers of nature, and therefore become intangible, because the powers of nature mostly are. Sand, lighning, fire, ice, darkness/gravity, light, etc. These are elemental "powers of nature". Things like rubber and roses aren't natural forces at all, so a Devil Fruit giving you one of those powers would be a Paramecia. Earth could be an elemental force, but I think plants are too material to qualify as force, so a plant power Devil Fruit would have to be a Paramecia.

It is a question I ask myself for a long time and I take advantage of the Mr3 key debate to ask it.
Imagine that a wood wood no mi exist (unfortunatly the moku moku is already taken)
If the man who ate it transforms himself into wood before falling into the sea, would he sink ? From my understanding, since the ability is kept, he shall not. but I'm not 100% sure. What is your opinion ?


Edit : since he is wood, does he even need to transform himself ?

It's a difficult question and there is no easy answer. You could argue both ways. It all depends on how you look at it. Maybe if the person was constantly wooden, like Luffy, but that's not likely since wood isn't really as stretchy and flexible as rubber, so i can't imagine a person with a DF like that.
