ok I found it. It was during 525 chapter discussion starting from here. So I suggest new members have a look at the discussion we had at that time, I'm pretty sure the arguments won't be much different from this time

Re: One Piece 542 Spoiler Discussion Thread

They can regenerate. That is the Logia user ability (except BB). like Enel can regenerate his body even if his HEAD get stab by a spear. or Kizaru got blown up and Ace chest been shot and you can see those hole in fire because its regenerating back.
I can see where your coming form but regeneration implies that they heal their wounds, which is not the case. It looks like they are regenerating since they seem to reform from total destruction. Logia users do not get wounded in the first place as attacks go through them due to their intangibility.

Brook's Devil Fruit + Another Devil Fruit

What do you think will happen if someone consumes both Brook's Devilfruit and another devilfruit at the same time?

(This question was posed to me by my cousin, in which I fail to give him an answer).

Discuss.

Re: Brook's Devilfruit + another devil fruit

I've always assumed that dying from eating more than one devil fruit was simply a myth. Not many people I assume would stumble upon multiple devil fruits. As far as I recall the Strawhats haven't stumbled upon a spare, non-eaten devil fruit since Luffy first ate his. (although in Enies Lobby they had a few)

I remember Oda saying something about how you'll find out the truth about Devil Fruits later. Let me fetch the quote:
"For more detail, you'll just have to wait for a certain professor to make his appearance in the story, and explain exactly what the Devil Fruits REALLY are... Eventually."
Well, it's from his SBS. http://arlongpark.net/Manga/SBS/48

I reckon nobody has actually tried to eat two devil fruits because;
1. They are rare.
2. Most people don't want to die.

---

However if we just assume for a minute that people will actually die if they eat more than one devil fruit, then here is how the scenario will be played according to me.

1. Eat Brook's fruit.
2. Eat Devil Fruit #2.
3. Die.
4. Because you have died, you lose Devil Fruit #2 ability.
5. Your soul eventually finds you.
6. You live.

Re: Brook's Devilfruit + another devil fruit

That's a good question, actually. Since we don't know what devil fruits actually are, we can only speculate about this.

As far as I remember, Lucci said that someone eating two fruits would obliterate the poor sap as an answer to Jyabura's panicking about the "devils" coming out to fight each other when he came close to some devil fruit.
Though this fear of Jyabura's was pretty much just to let Lucci give some exposition on the cursed little buggers, I personally think there's a kernel of truth in there.

My money goes on a result kind of like this:

1- Fruit user eats another fruit.
2- "Devils" take each other out and rip the user apart in the process.
3- User is pretty much disintegrated and has no longer any powers.
4- As a result, all of the user's friends are very very sad.

Oda'll likely put all doubts to rest once we finally find out what the fruits exactly are, though. That'll be awesome.

It depends on which one you eat first, obviously (and inevitably one will be eaten first, two events cannot take place at the exact same time). If you eat the Hell Hell Fruit first, then you gain a second life and can come back to life after dying when eating the second Devil Fruit. If the other Devil Fruit is eaten before the Hell Hell Fruit, then you just die. I don't think that eating a second Devil Fruit nullifies the ability of the first Devil Fruit, it just kills you. So the Hell Hell Fruit's ability should still work. The thing is, it's probably never been tested, since as far as we know, there are no Devil Fruit powers that take effect after death save that of the Hell Hell Fruit, but logic can answer the question.

It has nothing to do with how Devil Fruits really work. This is about the affect of the Hell Hell Fruit, which we more or less know already. Vegapunk can't answer this, since he doesn't have a Hell Hell Fruit to experiment with.

But wasn't it said you would actually explode if you eat two devil fruits? If that's the case, even if you return to life, there would not be a body to return to, meaning you'll just be a wandering spirit.

That is true. Hm, I'd forgotten that. So I guess you're right, you'd just be a wandering soul if you ate the Hell Hell Fruit first.

Although perhaps you could put your soul in an un-animated body and use that, (e.g. a different corpse), but I'm not sure if the Hell Hell Fruit would allow for that. The power may be tied to the body that ate the fruit, not the soul. In fact, I think that that way makes more sense. So I guess that your soul wouldn't return at all, because there would be nothing left to issue the vibrations that would activate the Devil Fruit power.

Ideas for devil fruit:

Ant Ant fruit: model Queen

Turns you into an ant queen. In full ant queen mode you can give birth to drones, each of which is like the original user but with relative ant strength and ant powers. The downside is that in queen mode you're too fat to move, and the drones you create have ant intelligence, and only communicate by pheremones.

My idea is basically that a guy (lol) eats the fruit, created an ant colony around himself, and now he's stuck in there and terrified to leave, because the second he changes out of ant mode he'll get killed by the absurdly overpowered ant drones, and while he's in queen mode he's too fat to move.

Other fruit:
Candy candy fruit

A paramecia that gives you the power to create candy. It's limited to pure sugar-based candies, though ("the power of sugar"). No chocolate or anything fancy like that. Just marshmellows, candy canes, etc. He usually fights with a candy cane sword, uses pixie dust to blind the opponent, etc. Ultimate power is turning into the giant marshmellow man from the ghostbusters.

Acid Acid fruit:
There are a bunch of limitations on this fruit to keep it from being too similar to Magellan's. First and foremost, the character doesn't generate acid, his body and its fluids are simply already acidic. The guy I have in mind is an assassin-type, and the most basic application of his power is simply using martial arts where your attacks eat right through the opponent (and if the opponent hits you without accounting for your weakness, their hand gets eaten away).

Additionally, he has a bunch of abilities relating to vomiting. This is the only way for him to use projectile attacks, and it works basically like a hose, he can't control it like Magellan. Ex, he can't create a dragon or anything, but he can shoot a solid concentrated stream ("Hydro Pump", as in hydochloric acid...), a diffuse spray ("Acid Wash"), or shoot it into the air and have it fall back down as droplets ("Acid Rain"). He keeps a sword and various weapons in his stomach (which he can make non-acidic), and pulls them out Orochimaru-style.

If someone figures out his weakness (bases, like soap and baking soda), he can acid etch a sword (removing rust, imperfections, etc, and making it perfectly sharp) by swallowing it and use that to fight.

Devil Fruit powers general research

I just thought of this some days ago, and though I would be fun. Listing the known Devil Fruits (manga only) and seeing how original their powers are, against powers that have already been seen elsewhere, or a power that has rarely or never been seen.

--------
(DF list from One Piece wikia)

Paramecia

Gomu Gomu no Mi (Luffy) The most famous example of this power is, of course, Mr. Fantastic. Luffy's versatibility of the power's use has however long ago surpassed the classic superhero.

Bara Bara no Mi (Buggy)

Sube Sube no Mi (Alvida)

Kilo Kilo no Mi (Miss Valentine) A version of this power which affects anyone other than the user is the ability of Kira's zanpakuto, Wabisuke, in Bleach, though only in weight aumenting. Though of course, the DF power predates it.

Bomu Bomu no Mi (Mr. 5)

Hana Hana no Mi (Robin)

Re: Devil Fruit powers general research

Noro Noro means slowly or sluggishly. While Time slowing is accurate, maybe Slow Slow fruit would work to describe it.

Anyway, Slowing down time, a lot of games have it, with Kratos being a key one.

I reckon nobody has actually tried to eat two devil fruits because;

6. You live.
How about this?

1. Eat Brook's fruit
2. Die
3. Your soul finds you (works better with a "fresh" body)
4. Eat Devil Fruit #2
5. Gain new power

After all, the Yomi Yomi has already served its purpose.

Well it seems plausible and yet I think it's not possible.
I don't know (only Oda does anyway) but I guess it's the DF that is highly involved in all the regenerating the bones and making Brook see and digest and all despite his body lost those functions long ago.

Re: Devil Fruit powers general research

I just thought of this some days ago, and though I would be fun. Listing the known Devil Fruits (manga only) and seeing how original their powers are, against powers that have already been seen elsewhere, or a power that has rarely or never been seen.
I've always thought that Devil Fruits are a very interesting part of One Piece. And doubtless, Oda draws inspiration (forgive the pun) from many things he's seen.

Wouldn't work. Brook still feels the bad effects of DF. He loses all strength under water.

And I think him being able to eat and regenerating with milk is more a comical relief than DF effect.

Well if you knew how to do what Vegapunk does and put devilfruits into objects then wouldn't Brooke be able to die, leave his body until it rots leaving behind only bleached bones, then have a person put logia devil fruits into a couple bones in his body (tips of his fingers?), and then have Brooke return to his body? They wouldn't technically be inhabiting the same "body"...

We do know "nothing" about Vegapunks techniques to put df powers into somebody, so it's futile to discuss probabilities. Just because we know how things are made, it does'nt mean that impossibe things are getting possible. We still have to see how PXs[or how they are called] are made.

I may sound harsher than I itended to be. :P

About objects eating DF fruits, maybe it is related to Kuma's ability to repel. Kuma can repel even pain and fatigue from a body so why repel not the DF abilities from the devil fruits and put it into an object. Vegapunk may have realised this and copied Kuma's ability just like he did for Kizaru(maybe with the help of a Copy Copy fruit?) and develop the technique to feed DFs to object.
Do you find this a plausibe explanation or is it too farfetched?

Interesting. But then again, if Vegapunk can copy Kuma's ability, why not provide all Pacifistas with it?
