Probably because the Pacifistas are still not perfected and Vegapunk didn't want to make them too powerful in case they went out of control. One Kuma is deadly enough, imagine ten of them going berserk

About objects eating DF fruits, maybe it is related to Kuma's ability to repel. Kuma can repel even pain and fatigue from a body so why repel not the DF abilities from the devil fruits and put it into an object. Vegapunk may have realised this and copied Kuma's ability just like he did for Kizaru(maybe with the help of a Copy Copy fruit?) and develop the technique to feed DFs to object.
Do you find this a plausibe explanation or is it too farfetched?

Assuming that what I said was true, maybe Vegapunk finds it easier to place Kizaru's laser in the Pacisfista instead of Kuma's paws or has not yet been able to develop this technique for fighting purposes. Also it may be more difficult for mindless puppets such as the pacifista to fully use Kuma's repulsion power as opposed to simply shooting Kizaru's lasers. As Gecko Moria pointed out, it would be more difficult to deal with a berserk Pacifista that can accidently send you flying for three days than one that shoots laser.
It may also be that what Vegapunk plans as a perfect pacisfista is what you just proposed i.e. an exact copy of Kuma(or why not an Admiral)

Well, if it's true that Vegapunk is 500 years ahead of his time then I wouldn't put creating lasers above his ability. Especially since we know that he can create cyborgs and possibly clone people.
I never expected to see that kind of steam punk in One Piece before, nor do I like it, but that's how it is.

Because someone compared Kizaru's lasers with Kuma's repel abilities. If Vegapunk could have duplicated Kizaru's ability, then he could have duplicated Kuma's ability too.
Which I don't think it is possible.
Pacifistas are only mimicking Kizaru's lasers with the use of advanced technology. My guess is, Vegapunk simply got an idea when he saw Kizaru's laser, and then worked on a device that could enable Pacifistas to shoot them.
But I also think that shooting lasers has something to do with a living tissue. Pacifistas are half human after all. And there is probably a reason why Marine battleships still use normal cannons instead of lasers.

My guess is that as long as they haven't already eaten a fruit they should be fine because they are only tools of the Shadow Fruit and are being affected by it. But they do not control the actual power because they didn't directly eat the Shadow Fruit. The shadow that is inside each zombie is just a normal shadow that has been stolen by the Shadow Fruit.

Kuma's paws that give him the "deflecting ability" is a result of the Devil Fruit he ate and not a customization by Vegapunk. Lasers would not be that difficult for someone like Vegapunk (merely intensifying light, laser guns exist in our world!) but Kuma's ability is different because it comes solely from a Devil Fruit.

IMO the same thing would happen as with any other person. The zombie (provided he hasn't eaten a Devil Fruit previously) will gain the powers of the Devil Fruit he has now eaten. They could be considered as "victims" of the Kage Kage No Mi, but they haven't actually eaten it so they should be OK.

Doppleman also doesn't directly control the Devil Fruit itself nor did Doppleman eat the Kage Kage No Mi it is simply influenced by it. However it is the shadow of the person who did(Moria). So he is a part of Moria which should mean that he can't eat a DF(otherwise he'll explode), despite never directly eating one.

Yes, Doppelman can indeed attack and cause damage when physical but he is still an intangible object in reality. Guns are different because they actually exist physically. Doppelman only exists physically because of the Kage Kage No Mi's power and I guess that he can't carry out any other function other they battle.

Doppelman may be able to eat objects when physical but IMO it will have no effect as Doppelman is not actually a physical being in reality. A shadow is still a shadow, Moria's powers allow him to physically manifest shadows but they still retain their natural properties.
