The thing that denotes a logia DF user is the fact that normal physical attacks just pass through them, without causing any harm. That's the simplest way to recognize a logia (for example, there are still doubts about Akainu being logia or not... personally, I think he's a paramecia).

Luffy's ability of healing much faster by eating and sleeping is something of his own, and isn't caused by his DF.

Logias are therefore confined to elements or element-type stuff. Smoke, Ice, Light, Wind, Magma, Sand, earth, fire, water. But in this class there are several divisions. You can't really put fire and BB's gravity power in the same division. He says it himself, he's special.
Materials, from nature or man-made, are paramecia. Like metal, rubber, diamond.

So what distinguishes logia and paramecia is 1. logia should be a stronger power in itself. 2. Logias are in most cases unhurtable. 3. Logias are usually elements of nature. 4. Logias can controll they element in nature I guess. So Croc controls other sand than himself and Ace probably other fires. 5. Logias are more rearer than paramecias.

So Luffy is not logia, 1.cause it has been certainly stated by Oda or in the manga and it is a common knowledge. 2. He isn't an element(altough a material that exists in nature in some form). 3. he is in most cases hurtable. 4. he cant control other rubber in nature(the trees I mean etc etc.

Hi.

I couldn't find a thread on this topic and it has been bothering me for a while.

I am unsure if it has been answered in the actual manga before either, so I'm hoping you guys can answer both these questions.

1. Are all devil fruits different to each other?
2. What happens to the devil fruit after the user dies?

2. It is possible for the Devil Fruit reborn after the user's death. Although not much details are given.

- Where they are found? It seems that they can be found in all parts of the world. Although all characters just say "I found a Devil Fruit"... I would guess that the sea mytology around them is because they just are found floating in the sea, that makes sense.

- In a SBS, a fan asked Oda this: Usopp said that there are not two Devil Fruits of the same type, but how does Shanks know the Gomu Gomu no Mi before Luffy ate it? Them Oda replied: let me emphasys what Usopp said: there are not not two Devil Fruits of the same type AT THE SAME TIME.

Basically, meaning that after a user dies they will (may) show up again. And there are books about Devil Fruit types because they were eaten before in history.

In Romance Dawn it was said that Luffy has a fruit from the Gomu Gomu tree that grows every 50 years. Whether that still holds true in the One Piece universe, is not known. By definition of fruit, it should come from a tree, though.

What is weird though.. What if the fruit user ate the fruit at say 10 years age and lived to 60, would the fruit then still regrow... or would it regrow right after the user dies?

Oda said that only one sort of a DF at a time exists. We have to stress the "at the (same) time" because he hints in the SBS that it is possible that two DF users have had the same power had different points in times.
Oda also said this will be clarified once Vegapunk shows up.

To answer your question: I opt for the latter possibility.

I agree, and also if there a books then obviously those are devil fruits that have been eaten before. So we can come to a conclusion that every time the gomu gomu fruit is regrown/reborn after its user dies, then it will look exactly the same. I'm willing to bet the Devil Fruits were invented during the blank century and these ancient weapons we have heard about may use whatever 'power' gave birth to the Devil Fruits. Maybe 'One Piece' is the origin of that 'power'?

I think DFs is one of the things that make OP so unique and good. i love all the powers and everything that comes with it. i think that we will see a lot more about DFs, and i think that we will see a DF of a person that died grow back.

I was just wondering about weapons consuming devil fruit, and I was wondering since we've seen a gun eat a dog fruit and a sword eat a elephant fruit, is it possible for it to eat paramecia or logia devil fruit or only zoan fruit

Maybe, the object/weapon in question can only consume a particular type of devil fruit?! It would reject a logia/paramecia?!

I could actually understand the reason why zoan fruits may only work with objects/weapons.

Personally, I am not that curious about objects eating DFs. IMHO it is just going to be some sort of manga made up process which won't make sense at all. Odds are it will be something like extracting the juice of a DF and bathing an object in said juice or something of the sort.

i believe that the death by eating multiple fruit is a rumor since CP9 stated that and if thats true maybe the WG said that to prevent pirates from gaining multiple abilities
