Blackbeard said he read about the Yami Yami no Mi in a book, which seems everyone can have access to. However in the war nobody expected he could take another fruit, except for Marco briefly mentioning it was a particularity of his body.

getting more then 1 DF is not really complcated let's take zoro vs example if he can get swords like spandam's sword he'll be able to use 3 different DFs and if he gets one himself he'll own 4

Re: Strongest DF,not based on the Chr.

If we are talking about power and the damage the fruits can do on a large scale, my list is this:

1. gura gura - Whitebeard --> Definitely the strongest in raw power, not much to add.

2. pika pika - Borsalino --> Versatile and powerful, the lasers cause huge explosions and are capable of melting steel strong enough to hold super-humans like Sanji (the door on PH).

3. goro goro - Enel --> Not much to say here too, real life lightning reach millions/billions of volts, just imagine what can you do with that power in your hands.

4. yami yami - Blackbeard --> It crushes everything that end up in the black hole, in real life a man would get erased from existence basically, it can absorb an entire town too, we don't know the actual limit, but if its range was bigger i would probably put it there with the gura gura.

5. magu magu/hie hie/ --> Strong enough to change the climate of an entire island (half/half though), so pretty powerful obviously.

If we are talking about usefulness, then this is my list:

1. nikyu nikyu - Kuma --> It's just one hit kill/ko, Kuma showed how precise this fruit is, you just need to know where the sea is and send your enemy there, could potentially send someone in orbit (lol), pretty OP.

2. noro noro - Foxy --> Just image this fruit in the hands of someone like Whitebeard... a random pirate like Foxy managed to actually hurt Luffy, seriously for someone like him that's quite a feat.

3. hana hana - Nico Robin --> Give this fruit to Garp and he ends the entire war by himself.

4. pika pika - Borsalino --> Can fly (or float in the air for all we know), blind enemies, fast movements, shoot lasers, can travel trough its own light, a really useful fruit.

5. Marco's fruit (i don't remember if it's named) --> We don't know the limits, but it was impervious to Kizaru's lasers, that speak for itself.

I don't think BB is the type of dude who's reliyng a lot on other people. He waited a very long time before finding this particular DF and I think there is a good reason : BB know that the Yami Yami no Mi is the only fruit that gaves you the power of taking other DF.

Its not for BB only, its for all his crew as they are searching for pirates with strong devil fruits !!

no one mentioned that his fruit can absorb other devil fruits ..
However, it got gravity, the ability to nullify the powers of other Devil Fruits by simply touching the user and draining them of their abilities, black hole, absorbs attacks & Kurouzu

Blackbeard said he read about the Yami Yami no Mi in a book, which seems everyone can have access to. However in the war nobody expected he could take another fruit, except for Marco briefly mentioning it was a particularity of his body.

Oda should release a copy of the "book". It would be kind of like a Pokedex. It could include all the descriptions about different fruits and tastes, etc.

Kizaru's light logica is much better in term of speed, besides you can sneak through any hole even in sub-millimeter range. Sengoku's df is also another good one, we still don't know all of its properties yet, maybe even better Marco's phoenix type.

goro goro no mi is the 2nd most powerful imo. lightning travels as fast as light, so in terms of speed he should be as fast as kizaru. Pika Pika no Mi - Speed=Power, You can kill the any guy with Speed of Light and fruit give you awesome strong beams xDD
and Yami Yami no Mi - disable other fruit = You can kill even Logia without problem. Even with Haki you can't kill strong users of logia like Akainu, Aokidji even WhiteBeard can't kill them even he used Haki. But with Yami Yami no Mi devil fruit user will be weak and without any power so ez kill. Just catch with 1 hand and cut the throat with knife. This is my vision about fruits power

Hello guys,

so we saw a bunch of people by now with crazy devil fruits. Some of them affect the appearance of a person, some not. Some of them makes the look of the person better, some not.

An example for a better appearance: lady alvida. when she was first introduced, she was fat and ugly. then she ate Sube Sube no Mi and she was thin and sexy.

An example for a worse appearance: senor pink. he was introduced as a fat grown-up man in a baby dress. 16 years ago he was slim and sexy.

I noticed those affects now even better since the donquixote pirates were introduced, they all have an unique appearance and it seems that some of them had a very different look 16 years ago. (Buffalo with his weird head, Trebol and his slimy nose and cape, maybe pica and his voice?!, sugar looks like a 5 years old girl, jora was slim too and now she looks like an old witch, lao G like wtf, Dellinger NO COMMENT, Gladius looks just not like a normal human lol)

my questions are now:

1. Why do other DFs for example mera mera no mi doesn't affect the appearance? (like turning into something like ghost rider)
2. Can the DF user controll the affects to the appearance?
3. If 2 is a yes, why does senor pink make him look uglier?
4. Has senor pink already eaten the DF 16 years ago or was it because of the DF that he changed his look a lot? or is it just simply because he ate too much? lol
5. Do only person with SMILE DF's change their appearance? is it like a negative consequence?
6. are there any other effects expect of change of appearance? (like sugar looking younger, or law being immortal?!)
7. How can you know if it's gonna affect you or not?

We have seen Senor Pink swim through the ground during this flashback right before he spoke on screen the first time. So he already had his DF back then.
My guess is that it depends on the fruit. Since paramecia can be all kind o f different things Oda can handle this howerer he wants. As far as we have seen most DF's that change the appearance are fruits that change the body into whatever and thus the look changes(Sugar is an exception to this)

She not only lost "some" weight. Before she found and ate the Sube Sube no Mi, people used to say she was the most beautiful woman in the world, just so they could avoid getting hit by her iron club. After she ate her devil fruit, they are really serious about it, thanks to her new beauty, even though Boa Hancock and the Mermaid Princess have also been called the most beautiful women in the world. After eating the Devil's Fruit, she also underwent a personality change.She speaks in much softer tones and is somewhat less prone to hitting her crew with her iron mace, despite now her (and any other) men are too distracted by her appearance to care much when they are hit by her mace.

I think it's just an insecurity issue that made her personality like that. Well, she's a made up character after all but its an exaggerated take on the way a lot of eccentric girls think about how they want the world to see them and how they react if they are not complimented properly. In essence, she doesn't overreact now because she feels more secure about how she looks and doesn't need others to lie to her to make her feel attractive.

Those aren't the direct effect of the DF, it's simply the result of her losing weight. Her interactions, and even the manner she carries herself, have changed as a result of the change in her appearance. It isn't much different from what we've seen from men interacting with other women considered to be attractive within the One Piece world.

I would think it ultimately is a random thing, it depends on the DF itself and perhaps the user.

On the physical appearance thing it simply depends on the fruit, perhaps a particular type of appearance is a part of the ability. Alvida's case was probably plot induced fan service along with being thin and whatnot being more convenient for slipping. Bufallo does not seem to be that severely affected by his fruit though, it seems like that is his normal appearance. Sugar is still a child for some reason but I can't quite picture why that is practical for her... I guess the fruit is just that way.

On the personality part perhaps we can make theories easier. Fruits intrinsically change the body of the user (strangely without affecting things like biology relevant to medicine) so there being psychological changes in the user makes sense. The user turns into something of his own specie so to speak, he gains abilities alien to those around him. In some cases we have even seen people with the ability to perceive things others can't... Enel for instance greatly enhanced his observation haki. Alvida could be have said to have a slightly different personality too. Seeing over great distances, the possibility of enhanced senses and whatnot can have an obvious effect on the user. In the case of the human fruit oda said that if a human ate it he would become enlightened.
