Lenalee's nose gets messed up. But other than that, I quite like her.

Well that's nothing new. I guess for Japan, maybe it's a thing where characters aren't allowed to be shown wearing a crucifix' Cross' necklace was never one, except one instance, in the old anime, or merchandise,

I am seeing her nose and eye as messed up.

Her eye looks like it's too far over to the side of her head. And it looks like her eye isn't even under her eyebrow lol
And her nose is going too far in the other direction lol

I fixed all of the weird disproportions.
I fixed Lenalee's face, Allen's face, made Lenalee's body more proportional to Hoshino's standard (Hoshino draws her with more meat than most animes), also got rid Allen's super long eyes, and fixed his big forehead thing, as well as his overall skull shape. Also made the cigarette more realist in size. Also all of their mouths were way too low on there face to be logical.

(I used work for a magazine and my job was to fix the models proportions)

I was bored so why not?

The initial PV's looked promising art wise but being honest i've consistently hated all the promotional art the animators have released after the first one on the official website with Alma , Earl Allen and Kanda (the only good one in my opinion). After the first one all the others have been consistently derpy for me. I wonder if this is due to them employing new less experienced animators? I hope this is only an issue with the promotional art and not a major one with the anime itself.

Well looking at trailers, the anime has looked fine. The art looked great. It may just be the promo art that slips up now and again.And even anime with great art work will derp now and again, and sadly it'll happen with our favorites. Lenalee has looked good in trailers. This just isn't one of her better moments lol

I'm just waiting to have an opinion because in the trailer the art looks nice (except the boat scene), but this recent pics are kinda strange...

Yeah. I am happ Cross looks nice. Hopefully it won't be a reverse of Lenalee where he looks nice in the promo art, and derpy constantly in the anime. Like Bleach. Ruined one of my favorites when he was finally animated, and that ruined the excitement, and it last the entire arc. Cross won't be around long, or appear anytime soon anyhow, but I still prefer non-derpy. lol

Here's the other half of the art.

These guys look good, except Allen -looking too babyish. But the art is nice. Lavi's style is different, and may take getting used to, but still looking nicely. The different style makes him look older -same for Kanda

Imo, Lavi, Kanda and Link are pushing 30. And Allen is pushing.... Owari no Seraph.
Lavi and Link will be should be on the bus for at least half of the season so I guess their designs are pretty much irrelevant. Kanda has always been standoffish, so at least they got his constipated expression right. I can't see Allen turning into the 14th though, not with that kind of design.
Whatever. Maybe seeing them in action might change things, but as it is... .

I wonder why Allen's the only one with a rounded nose and big eyes. That's not how he looks in the manga. I remain optimistic for the anime but I agree the promo art is disappointing (especially poor Lenalee).

It's something Hoshino gave with candies/donuts to the anime staff/cast during the dubbing

If we are still going to continue with Lenalee's promotion art face, I try fixing just the nose and add some meat to the right side
