It just crossed my mind, if there is gonna be a new anime, how far into the story are we?
Since Hoshino said IIRC that she already has the rest of the story planned out, is there a possibility that the anime which will be supervised by her will end the story while the manga will follow in it's footsteps in due time?
Only mystery about Allen with some small untouched foreshadowings and Bookman arc are left but with quarterly release, I don't think the manga will end in the next 5 years

Well, she probably had the basic concept for the end but not the detail.
^^^ That's the key here. Broad strokes, and a solid outline are probably what she has, but not a finely detailed, step-by-step, paint-by-numbers kind of thing. She can change smaller details along the way like anyone would. Miranda wasn't even going to be an Exorcist at first, remember. Kanda was going to be the character that ended up as Alma IIRC, etc.
I doubt it. It seems back-asswards to do that. Unless the anime deviates from the manga and has an entirely different ending. Because if the anime ends the story, why even bother with the manga afterwards? Usually the manga is the start. Then people go on to watch the anime to see their favorite series in motion with music, and possibly extend things. Some people do like filler and extended fights through filler I am sure.
Unless Hoshi is too stressed or sick to continue drawing, so she's supervising and telling the story to the anime team, and they finish up her story animated while she cancels her manga, Then she doesn't have to tax and draw the rest of the story, given her healthy issues - since she can't update but once every 3 months..
If none of that, I think there may be more filler, But I believe we have 60 chapters worth of story to be anime thus far. provided they don't skip or rush, that's probably good enough to get a full season at the least.
FMAB managed to get the author's name for the last chapter. Owari no Seraph's last episode spoils unreleased chapter of the manga. But none of them can be example for this case.
Personally, I think they will stop at the end of Seed of Destruction arc and wait for more material.
I partially disagree Silverwolf. I would definitely not count it as common yet it did happen twice in Arakawa drawn manga. Hero tales, that began pubication 1 year before the anime, has been fully animated and only then completed in manga form, and although in the second case the story was already there, Arslan senki went beyond the manga with scripts and designs by Arakawa, and is getting a second season in the following year as well.
If we were talking about anyone but Hoshino I would support your claim as it's the most rational conclusion, yet I can't think that in this long hiatus, Hoshino didn't plan out exactly where to take her story. The 2 reboots that we had, FMA and HXH had a sense of a goal achieved, a conclusion to a point, one which DGM doesn't yet have unless the wish is to continue it in a couple of years for a very specific audience. Even right now, having most characters for newcomers would seem pointless such as Krory only lying down, Lavi kidnapped with no emotional attachment, The earl coming out of nowhere.

Buuuut... I wouldn't go so far as to say that they're the opposite of Exorcists.
There are plenty of Exorcists that care for each other, and it was specifically Winters that was totes okay with sacrificing Miranda. Cross had a back-up plan (Allen) and even if Klaud was on board, she was shown crying over her team during her initial introduction. On the Noah side, while they act like a family in many cases, it's been shown that some of it is definitely a facade when Tyki, Road and the Twins were shown to be "crying" over Skinn's death. They themselves weren't crying, but rather the Noah memory was weeping for some reason.
Rather, I really like just how gray each side is on of the scale of black and white, good and evil.
