I don't think there will be anime, in the near future, because we don't have enough chapters. And the story goes really slow, now it's monthly.

Do you really think that there aren't enough chapters for at least one more season. I think that if they paced it right, they could get even more than 25 episodes out of what's happened so far. I mean, they would end up starting all the way back where Cross has the discussion with Allen about him being the 14th Noah. Think about everything that's happened since then. Cross's disappearance, Timothy becoming part of the group, The introduction of the Third Generation Exorcists, the Noah attacking the camps, the entire Kanda/Alma arc, and then Allen's imprisonment/Apocryphos encounter and leave.

I mean, that's a lot of material IMO. If they waited say five-ten more chapters, we might even get two more seasons.

Having said all of this, they might want to wait until the series is over completely before animating it. Since I'm not typically familiar with the timing of when other animes air in comparison to their mangas, is that common?

I'm hoping that the success of Ao no Exorcist makes the studio take a look at DGM.
Unless they produce a filler season, AnE anime will end this year cause the manga only has 6 volumes.

Kids station (a Japanese children's television channel) is re-broadcasting DGM anime in high quality (at least higher than the popular fansub DVD-rips in my opinion). Please don't confuse this with new season or a continuation.

So this is what Hoshino-sensei was hinting at!?!?!?!? I thought she was hinting that she would show up in person as a guest, not a giant freakin anime announcement.

-I wonder which studio is adapting it and how much input Hoshino-sensei will be putting in? Since both announced VA are from Haikyuu, by Production I.G., could Production I.G. making this or is that a stretch?
-The artwork style they chose for the PV seems to be the style of the most restart (Ch 219-onwards)?

I just realized it's going to LOOK AMAZING. I mean the last time DGM was adapted 2006-2008, literally 10 years ago!!

It took me a while before it registered that Koyabashi is Allen's original VA. X'D I guess I watched DGM before I got into VA, such a long long time ago.
It's interesting that Allen will now be voiced with a male actor, instead of a female one. I'm waiting on confirmation?? of my inkling that it might be made by Production I.G. Also, I'm completely floored how there was no hint at all about this coming. Not from Hoshino, despite having an active media presence. She has her lips sealed shut! If you had asked me just yesterday, if I ever considered DGM getting more anime episodes, a continuation even, in 2016!! even, I would have said the chances of that were less than zero. Freaking Christmas miracle. So Happy.

According to this fan who went to the Jump Festa panel (Japanese site) it's not going to be a 2nd Season--it's going to be like a new series? I'm not 100% on whether that means it's a remake or not though. It's probably better to wait until info from the Jan 2016 Jump SQ issue comes out.

If they do a complete remake of it though, I'll be so glad! I was admittedly never a fan of the previous one because of the art style of the animation. But they guaranteed a visual upgrade for this one, and Hoshino gave them a lot of feedback too!!!! I'm so psyched!!!!!!!!! Ah, so it's not a remake, but I'm still really looking forward to this!

The same company that produced the previous anime is animating it again--TMS Entertainment. Their banner is also at the bottom of the new site.

As for the Japanese introduction in the OP, it's basically just a rehash of the series history (the magazine it's in, the fact that it's up to vol 24, had an anime back in 2006 etc.) with the added fact that 10 years after the first anime, a new anime will be out. The second part is just a short overview of the story basics, e.g. what are Exorcists and what are AKUMA.

I was so surprised when I read her tweet, announcing the new anime, like "...huh? Anime..? ...NEW ANIME!?!?!?"

Hoshino tweeted it'll be a continuation story-wise (i.e. they won't start over), but it will be a completely new anime.

I wonder how Ayu will voice Allen. I watch Haikyuu and he's hilarious on their radio show lol. I have faith he'll do a good Allen.

I hope this is somehow animated all the way to the end of the story. I can't think how far are we from that end yet if Hoshino already knows the entire plot she wishes to have this could possibly be downright amazing. TMS could have very good art and animation, just look at Youwamushi pedal or Saint Seiya OVA.
