Re: Dois Sol by MURASE Katsutoshi

I read its first chapter and it does have a feeling like a high school version of Giank Killing. And I, personally, think the artwork is much better than KO Sen.

Re: [NEW]Dois Sol by MURASE Katsutoshi

wait.......
Wasn't there already another soccer one?
the art work isn't bad but looks a little like sketch...... (or is it just me Oxo？)

Re: [NEW]Dois Sol by MURASE Katsutoshi

Wasn't there already another soccer one?

Yes, there is already another soccer manga, called Light Wing. But, Dois Sol going to be Light Wing's replacement, since it'll end within few chapters.

Re: [NEW]Dois Sol by MURASE Katsutoshi

it was pretty good actually. I don't read Giant Killing, so I don't know how much it copied from it, but it was pretty interesting
much better than all other recent soccer manga WSJ came up with ....

Re: [NEW]Dois Sol by MURASE Katsutoshi

I would love a summary of the story if anyone could write it.
Obviously a translation would be awesome as well.

Re: [NEW]Dois Sol by MURASE Katsutoshi

it's not starting so good...

the name is wrong

"Dois Sol" probably is portuguese expression for "Two Sun"

yes, "two sun", not "two Suns", that would be "Dois Sóis"

why i think the "dois sol" is a portuguese? because Brasil is the biggest world soccer power, and the logo have two suns...

Re: [NEW]Dois Sol by MURASE Katsutoshi

The basic summary for chapter 1 is:

Nonaga (the guy with black hair) is the highschool freshman and the new coach for his school's soccer team; Kappo (the guy with brown hair) is also the highschool freshman with etraodinary good soccer skill, especially long shoot. But Kappo is not in any of soccer team because no one understand his soccer style. Kappo's main purpose is to make enough money to go Brazil (the person who teached Kappo a soccer is Brazilian); therefore, Kappo participates as the helper for different soccer teams for money. Nonaga understands Kappo's soccer style, and he offers Kappo to join the soccer team. Kappo takes Nonaga's offer and joins the team.

Re: [NEW]Dois Sol by MURASE Katsutoshi

From what I've seen so far (including the colour pages) this one looks cool. I haven't read the manga version of Giant Killing only the anime; wasn't really feeling it~ I've been wanting to read a decent soccer football manga for a while now; I hope someone picks this one up lol.

Re: [NEW]Dois Sol by MURASE Katsutoshi

Well, it was better than Shonen Shikku and Light Wing. It'll probably be cut in a couple of months though.

Re: [NEW]Dois Sol by MURASE Katsutoshi

The story for Dois Sol is very slow so far. I'm not sure whether this means Dois Sol is doing good. If it was doing bad, I think the author might have increased the speed of story flow.

[Drmke]

Re: [NEW]Dois Sol by MURASE Katsutoshi

AHH I really wanna read past chapter one lol

If it's still going slow though, I would think it has been getting at least decent rankings so the author realized he could pace it how he wanted....or he could just not know what to do as he received bad rankings. I'm much more inclined to the first

[Negative Syndicate]

I'm glad that Dois Sol didn't drop bottom 5 like past 2 soccer series (Shonen Shikku and Light Wing). However it is pretty low, so there is still chance that it might drop to bottom 5 on next issue. I wish Dois Sol to increase its ranking.
