Still, the character looks kinda too flashy. I'm a little worried that Komi goes more into the generic shounen corner now to survive with his works. I was very impressed by Island. A thoughtful short story aside from the mainstream stuff. Double Arts was already more optimized for WSJ but still contained unique aspects which aren't usual for a stereotypical adventure shounen (and we could see that it didn't appeal to the target group -.-).

Komi is a mangaka with huge potential but in the wrong corner, IMHO. I would love to see him switching to a seinen magazine with his story concepts. The sooner the better. But well, let's look forward to this oneshot now. I'm very curious already <3

With SQ that guy will prolly succeed more. His DA, his one shots are too good for simple biased audience of weekly shounen jump

The picture looks nice: the mask kinda reminds me of some venice carnivale mask and the guy is an equivalent to a shorter haired sui?. Look forward to it since his previouses works (the islands, DA) were nice too

Funny you should say that, since 晒すcan also mean "bleach" - and there's something very Arrankar about him~

Heyy, looks awesome! Can't wait for that one-shot; I reckon it could be the start of a new series for Komi.

@koen: Yeah, I was thinking that as well, about that guy looking *a lot* like Sui, except with short hair. Maybe Komi used Sui as a concept design for that character in the ad?
