Dance Battle! Too bad the villians aren't dancing too. This could get some very goofy fights. I like the cover too.

Okay, so it doesn't seem double arts will sell that well........ but there's still time for it to improve, same with Bari Haken

I can't see how DA won't sell well. It's a very interesting plot in terms of originality and creativity. The only thing that could go wrong is if the author screws up the story.

If anything, the baseketball manga will be cancelled before DA. So DA still has time to improve.

Capoeira? You can't do that while holding hands and it's uses up too much energy. Now I could see Sui utilizing it.

I think the dances here are more likely the less martial arts based ones like the tango and............ i don't know dances.

you know, masters in martial arts say fight and dance have the same origins...
if you see the exhibits of martial artist, you will realize that they always follow some rhythms.

I've liked much what Naoshi has just made.

I realized that too though I'm not a master. I think it's all about being able to read rhythms, create rhythms and destroy rhythms.

For once, I wouldn't mind seeing a long training arc. Because from what we've seen of Elle and Kiri's fighting, it's clearly going to be unlike any fight style ever seen in a manga. I think it will be REALLY interesting to watch it unfold... and Komi-sensei's done a good job with the pacing so far.

prediction:fighting style will be based on each throwing the other person around to dodge and attack
reasoning: 2 people fighting, and both have increased strength and speed, plus they cant let go for too long.

Edited Manga's out too.

Another great chapter, of course. Sui is hilarious, as always. And Fallan remains somewhat dorkily cool. Moreover, I like his foreboding comments about Flare; kinda reminds me of FMA, what with the "Kiri can't possibly be making something out of nothing" idea. The plot thickens :P

Yeah, I know what you mean. Actually, there have been a lot of foreboding comments in Elle's narration as well about Kiri and his power. I am really interested to see how things will turn out. Especially her comment in chapter one about Kiri being immune to Troy, or at least he was. As seen here: http://img39.onemanga.com/mangas/00000549/000027744/21.jpg. That is one of the quotes that has intrigued me the most.

As for this chapter, I liked it. Sui was great as usual (especially her sneezing on Fallan and running away. I lmao at that). I can't wait to see them using what they learned in actual fight. And also, from Fallan's comments it seems like he will be staying w/them for a while.

I can definitely picture Fallan as more of a long-term companion, but then again this is Naoshi, so you never know. Even if not, he's the type of character to come 'round every once in a while - it's his whole destiny that's intertwined with Kiri's now, after all.

And as for that quote - that's very intriguing indeed. Though the sentence is potentially vague, and could be meant to mean he was like any other boy (as opposed to, was immune to Troi) but we'd need someone who can read the original Japanese to confirm that. It does sound more like your interpretation, though.

Seeing as that's my translation used, I'll handle this one:

I actually went back and grabbed the raw, and judging strictly by grammatical composition, the "was" applies to the subject "completely ordinary boy". the entire thing that comes before it was nothing but a modifier, namely explaining that he was immune to troy.

As my english teacher loved to say, "I saw an elephant walking down the street in pajamas". Who had pajamas? me or the elephant?

I can't wait for the fighting tournament where the competitors will be duo.

Joke aside, I am surprised that the story turns out to be the ordinary shonen with the chapters with talk where things are explained and chapters with fights.

It does not mean I won't be delighted, but I was hoping for a more original story.
