Maybe a scientist to team up with Tsukasa? Senkuu's rival?

For me, no. If the story isn't interesting then chances are I'll end up dropping it eventually. I usually give mangas a chance to build their story up a bit before judging it. Take this upcoming arc, it honestly doesn't sound appealing, but it may surprise me so I'll give it time. The art in no way affects what I read. I appreciate good art but not to the point where I suffer through a boring/awful story.
When they are "unpetrified", their bodies are restored and there are traces that they were once stones. Since Senkuu's neck had stone on it, unpetrifying his neck restored the broken bones and everything.
Going off of a few other mangas I've read that have flash-back centered arcs usually aren't that good so the likely hood it's actually better then the previous arc is extremely low. Also this is just from viewing certain trends if the flash back last longer then five chapters the main audience (readers in japan) typically stop reading it and/or give it terrible ratings.
Personally I think the series should've been vary vague of the incident at the start and made the series a survival/mystery like series that follow Senkuu/Taiju along with a few other characters as they try to unravel what happened in the past that caused the petrification and leave out the whole "Save Humanity" bit all together, also and this may just be me but if the series truly is about saving humanity the author is severely limiting himself to a low number of chapter/volumes because a story like that can only last so long before it starts getting repetitive.
The only downside is they can't tell who was a good person or a bad person. There's a fault with Tsukasa's plan as well. He wants to bring back the young and condemn the old. Not every young person was "good" and not every old person was "bad". In theory his plan seems alright, his case well laid out, but if you look deeper he's a bit irrational lol. Also from the flashback this is more of a personal vendetta than him actually wanting to change humanity for the good of humanity itself.
Yeah Tsukasa clearly is crazy, and probably what happened in that flashback with his sister was what drove him to his whole young=good, old=bad mentality). Also he`s now a murderer, though he might have already killed someone even before the whole stone thing. So while Tsukasa`s plan is crazy, Senkuu`s isn`t really much better. What if they revive someone even worse that Tsukasa, not really someone stronger, but crazier, who would try to kill them the minute he is revived? Guess we will have to wait and see, if the manga survives that long.
